I went to Lucille's for a late lunch. We had a large party and they sat us right away. We had three kids, and I was impressed that the waitress made an effort to ask the kids what they wanted as opposed to asking the adults. Our food came out 15 minutes after we ordered, which was impressive. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap, which had a good amount of food in the wrap and it was rolled well. There were a few improvements that could be made. I pinch myself for not going to the joint sooner. I am a fan of BBQ and it did not disappoint. We walked in and got seated right away for dinner. They have specials throughout the week and we went during a time that anything was going on, but it didn't stop us from chowing down. The pulled pork sandwich with crispy onion straws and a side of mashed potatoes did the trick. I put on a good amount of BBQ sauce and it was so good. The golden Oreo banana pudding, caramel cheesecake, and key lime pie ended our evening sweetly. Our waitress was personable and she did a wonderful job making sure we were happy with everything. Lucilles's is a chain of barbecue restaurants serving lunch and dinner daily. They were founded in Boca Raton in 1997 by a husband and wife. I had previously tried their Delray Beach location and did not have a good experience so I had shied away from trying them again. Recently a family member was in town and wanted to meet here at the Boynton Beach location which opened in 2002 as their fourth restaurant. I was not enthusiastic about the choice but fortunately this visit went better. Upon arriving I liked the area out front with a fountain, stone benches, and landscaping where we were able to snap a few pictures. There are also some tables with umbrellas for al fresco dining when the weather is nice. The inside of the restaurant is L shaped with the dining area in the rectangular part. It features a huge American flag mural by artist Ruben Ubiera along with a tin ceiling and brick walls. We had a booth and after checking out the extensive menu we decided on the Hawg Heaven For Two which included a quarter chicken, half a rack of ribs, pulled pork, chopped beef brisket, and pulled chicken with three sides, fries, sweet potato, and coleslaw. Everything was delicious and it was a great value. There was more than enough food to take home for additional meals. While Lucille's started out as strictly barbecue they have expanded the menu through the years to include salads, seafood, tacos, and wraps. Our whole family enjoyed their dinner and service. They also have dessert but we were too full. A Yelp check in revealed a generous $10 off coupon which they honored. I am glad I was talked into giving them another chance and I would come back again to this location if I was in the area. read more

Paul and I went to Lucille's for the early bird special on Friday evening. We had to be there by 5:30 and we made it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside because it was freezing inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were very comfortable and our waitress attended to us regularly and did a fantastic job. We ordered the ribs with salad or soup and two sides with an ice cream sandwich and a corn muffin. The ribs fell off the bone and were delicious! I had the steamed broccoli and sweet potato and Paul had the macaroni and cheese with sweet potato. It was more than enough to eat and the price was so fair. We brought home doggy bags. Yummy and good weekly deals on the wall and posted through the menus. The space offers plenty of room for large parties and group settings. Service was pleasant and helpful throughout the meal of our group of 6 during our lunch meeting . One funny thing learned the products offered are not Coco Cola or Pepsi, it makes me laugh as two of my Team mates are particular to their drink favorites. The French fries were my favorite style I have ever tasted, they were hot Crunchy and packed with flavor. The wings were cooked well and mouth watering for medium , portion was perfect . This is an update after my last great review... Something happened to this great Rib place. 1. they no longer offer full racks on the menu. 2. the half rack is more like a quarter rack. We ordered take out with a $5.00 off coupon with a $30.00 purchase. There were no other restrictions on the ad. The order was placed over the phone and I mentioned we had a 5.00 off coupon. The employee said the bill would come to $40 before the coupon. When my husband went to pick up the order, they refused to honor the coupon without explanation. My review is based on the new higher priced menu. I do t care what the ownership says, there is no supply chain issues still going on. If prices from their suppliers have gone up it's totally due to profit taking. Yes, restaurants got hurt during the pandemic but it does fix things to raise prices like they have all done. I have yet to hear one restaurant or owner apologize and provide real proof that their costs have gone up. I rarely got out to eat anymore. As a retiree, I could just say that I'm on a fixed income as an excuse, but I can spend money, but I'm not going to throw it away. We had a good lunch here. They don't offer lunch specials on the weekends, but we could order from their all day early bird which we did. The options were a bit more expensive and had more food than we'd normally order for lunch; however, we took home quite a bit of leftovers for dinner. I was in the mood for ribs. The rib platter included soup or salad (I took the soup to go), two sides, a corn muffin and an ice cream sandwich (!) for dessert. The half rack of ribs was large and the meat slathered in bbq sauce messy and tender. They were good, but no Bobby Rubinos/Tony Roma's. The beans needed a bit of doctoring for my tastes. My sweet potato was served piping hot and tender. They served a sweet "butter" with it that I didn't care for. I liked the plain corn muffin and added regular butter to it. My husband had their pulled pork platter. He started with a salad. The serving was a mound of shredded pork meat. He said it was very good. To his beans he had to add some of the smoky bbq sauce to jazz them up. He did like his chunky mashed potatoes. Our "dessert" was an in the package Blu Ribbon brand vanilla ice cream sandwich. Consistently delicious BBQ food! I usually get the BBQ chicken breast platter which is always so tasty. I love their sweet potato fries and their beans as the sides. It comes with a corn muffin which is the perfect little dessert. I've had their Down N Dixie sandwich which is AMAZING (but a little unhealthy so I don't get it too often). Food was not as good as usual. The server we had seemed to be doing us a favor. He never came to the table to see if the food was okay or if we wanted a refill on our beverage. I had to ask him to clear the table . He then asked me if we needed a box and did we want the ice cream sandwich we were entitled to as part of our dinner. Lunch to celebrate the purchase of a new washer and dryer. Me, Dad and Bonus Mom stopped in today. Warmly greeted by a hostess and brought to a table, Lucille's is doing a good job with their COVID protocols. Everyone wearing a mask, socially distant tables and the one-time use placemats double as menus. There were no condiments on the table. I stuck to a keto friendly meal and got the half rotisserie chicken with cole slaw and steamed veggies. About 20 minutes from order to table, which seems a bit slow considering there were very few other people in the restaurant when we were here. But it arrived hot and our waitress was pleasant. The chicken was tasty and dry enough that it did need the sauce. My Dad's half rack of ribs was good. No dessert for us today. Not great, but better than good. Tasty and not expensive. I'm visiting my parents for a few weeks and mom loves this place so I agreed we could give it a shot! We ordered the seasonal salad - really loved it! A full rack of baby back ribs, seriously SO good- the meat is tender and perfectly seasoned and pulled pork loaded nachos. We loved everything and I especially liked the corn bread muffins!! I wasn't expecting to like those as much as I did- they come with your meal and I'm so glad! I'd highly recommend take out! We didn't love the pulled pork which we asked for on the side so it wasn't soggy since it was a bit dry but for take out they did their best- nachos are hard to-go item. Had friends from Connecticut and they wanted to go to Lucille's so we happily said no problem. We had a lovely young lady as our waitress named Ashleigh. The restaurant was rather busy from our prospective and we sat in the back station which was fine with us. We ordered me ribs, husband brisket, and our friends chicken. Everything came out together so we ate and talked all at once. The food was excellent and plates were emptied easily. By the time we were ready to leave the restaurant was empty!
