Small but smoking! This little place slipped in this strip of stores on 441 and has all the charm and flavors of Texas and NC BBQ rolled up into one. We ordered the three meet plates with Ribs of the day (St Louis today) Brisket and smoked sausage that were perfectly made dry rub with choice of Sweet bbq or Mustard bbq sauce on the side on your plate. We went with the amazing beans and coleslaw, just so good I wanted to lick the bowl of the beans they were so good. Tried the cornbread that was smothered In a sweet butter. This is a place I could spend every week trying something new out of the smoker. We had a chance to meet Mistah Lee who was so gracious. He had us try his Smoked Pastrami Rib that was so full of flavor and so tender that you pulled the meat right of of the bone. We will have to make this a regular spot for us since it is nearby. indoor for a ouple of dozen folks to sit and outdoor seating. walk up to the counter and choose your next plater of meat!

I have been eagerly following Lee Stransky's Mistah Lee's on Facebook waiting for the opening of his first restaurant in the new Melrose Shoppes in Boynton Beach. Lee has been operating out of food truck and he has won many awards including readers choice for Best BBQ in the Sun Sentinel's Best of South Florida Dining series along with wins at the St. Pete Bacon & BBQ Festival and The Red Meat Lovers Club Best Sandwich of South Florida cook-off. Lee finally posted on Facebook a come on down until we are sold out on Presidents Day and I headed over for some amazing BBQ. When I arrived the line was out the door but this BBQ was worth the wait. The restaurant is small but there is additional seating out front. You order at the counter and they give you a number that they call out when your food is ready. I ordered the pulled pork plate that comes with two sides. I picked the sticky corn bread and macaroni and cheese. The meat was some of the best pulled pork I have ever had. There was no fat at all, just succulent meat seasoned and smoked to perfection and made even more delicious by the drizzle of sweet BBQ sauce. The macaroni and cheese made with shell pasta was rich and creamy and the light cornbread with a sticky sweet drizzle tasted more like a delightful dessert. Lee was on hand overseeing everything personally and he is such a nice guy. I wish him success in his newest endeavor and I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Based on the turnout tonight he is going to be busy for a long time.

I wanted soooo badly to like this place. My husband found them online and has been asking ever since, he even had me follow them on social media so he could salivate over it. Beautiful and clean establishment, got there around 6pm and there were a few people eating and coming to place to go orders. We got the 3 meat platter with double brisket and pulled pork, half a rack of ribs, cornbread, mac and cheese, coleslaw and potato salad. All to go, but a pretty wide selection.... At first my husband was sad that they had no Alabama white sauce and only gave 2 sauces for our whole order. I'm not sure if we caught them on a bad day. (And based on the reviews that really must be it) But to keep it polite - the cornbread was phenomenal and if I had to go back I would just get the cornbread and pulled pork. The brisket was dry and tough, the mac was soggy (like the shells were mushy goo), the ribs were dry and stuck in your teeth chewy. For a $100 meal we were super disappointed. But like I said - Phenomenal cornbread.

The House Smoked Sausage sandwich and cornbread

My husband and I recently stopped by Mistah Lee's Smokin' Good BBQ, and it was delicious! This spot is fairly new, and from the moment we walked in, everyone was so nice and polite -- you can really feel the pride they take in what they do. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and enjoyed every bite. I went with the house smoked sausage sandwich, and it even came with a little extra sausage on the side -- such a great touch. The flavor was spot on, and the cornbread? Like dessert -- sweet, moist, and unforgettable. The portions are generous, the food is clearly made with love, and the service was just as warm as the food. As for the ambiance, it's a quick-serve setup -- you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. If you're looking for good food without the full sit-down restaurant experience, this is your place. We'll definitely be back -- and you should absolutely add Mistah Lee's to your must-try list!

Finally got to check out Mistah Lee's new location (8240 FL-7) with none other than Ellen Fried, South Florida's Queen of Pastrami. I never got a chance to try his truck before, so this was the perfect intro. The restaurant is tucked into a brand-new plaza off Route 7, a few minutes north of Bedner's, right next to the new How Ya Doughn pizza spot. What We Ate: *Reuben: 8oz of smoked brisket pastrami on great rye bread. We had to ask for extra kraut and Russian dressing because the sandwich is all about the meat. The pastrami was tender, smoky, strong on coriander, but I personally prefer a heavier peppery spice. Still, very high quality. *Brisket: Good smoke, tender, but the deckle piece needed more bark. *Ribs: These were the standout -- excellent seasoning, bold smoke, and cooked "fall-off-the-bone" style (which most folks will love). *Chicken: Smoky, but needed a stronger rub. *Pulled Pork: Lee gave me a sample -- very good. I'd get a pork sandwich next time. Sides: *Mac and cheese (sharp cheddar, creamy) and mustardy potato salad were both winners. *Collard greens were sweet and vinegary -- not my favorite, but some will like the contrast. Sauces: While I'm more of a dry rub person, I liked the South Carolina mustard sauce much better than the Western Carolina blackstrap molasses version, which was too sweet for me. Pricing: *3-meat platter is $50 -- includes 24oz of meat + two small sides. *Sandwiches run $16-$25 and come with one side. *Pro tip: if you're sharing, ordering individual meat plates separately actually gets you more sides for just a few bucks more. Overall: Would definitely come back -- next time I'll focus more on the pulled pork and ribs. High-quality meats, good smoke, great sides. Just know going in that Lee's style leans a little lighter on the rubs compared to hardcore BBQ spots, but the skill and care are 100% there.

I had read about Mistah Lee's Smokin Good BBQ months ago but it took them forever to open. Went on a Saturday night around 7 and found that they were out of pastrami, sausage, and chicken. need to return to try those items. Ordered the 2-Meat Platter and comes with a choice of Brisket, Rib of the Day, 1/4 Chicken, Pulled Pork, or Sausage. Got the pulled pork and ribs, both very good. Also choice of 2 sides; Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, Caesar Salad, Honey Maple Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, and Sticky Cornbread. Chose the Mac n Cheese for my wife who thought it was dry and Honey Maple Baked Beans for me, very good. Next time, I''ll call first to see what items they have.

These are the ribs that are covered in Aunt. It looks like peppercorns and just absolutely taste it awful.

Aweful. After reading all the positive reviews, I had to double check and make sure I went to the same restaurant, and sure enough I did. First off I spent $127 including a tip for takeout. I got a half rack of ribs, a whole rack of ribs, some brisket, what was supposed to be a chicken breast, but they didn't have any so they gave me a quarter of chicken. And some cornbread. The ribs were covered in what looked like thick peppercorns no dry rub just the most awful seasoning I've ever tasted . And it was spicy, which was strange. The brisket was edible. The chicken was not good. The macaroni and cheese, which is huge shells had a weird cheese and seasoning to it. The beans now those were actually excellent, and the cornbread was good. Definitely one and done would never go back there.

It was Father's Day and my husband wanted to try bbq. We went to Mistah Lee's. We got there just in time and took the last bbq chicken and rack of ribs. They were sold out after our order! Staff were super nice, owner was very personable. Place was clean. Definitely going to go back and try the brisket which I hear is their most popular item.

Shout out to Mistah Lee and his staff for the amazing food and hospitality. Best BBQ in South Florida. I tried a 2 meat platter with brisket and ribs. Seasoning and cook on both was perfect. Sides was cornbread and Mac and cheese. Cornbread was satisfying. Mac makes me a happy fat kid. Mistah Lee personally made my mom and I feel like VIPs. Can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menu.

Pick two meats platter with two sides BRISKET AND CHICKEN-light meat

10/10. You can't go wrong when going with Mistah Lee!!! That man KNOWS BBQ! There's a reason he won awards! Best around! The quality, portion size, pricing, dining experience, cleanness, everything is outstanding. My daughter loves the brisket and corn bread! Something for everyone! If you BBQ anywhere else you're foolish.

Meat platter with Mac and cheese delicious corn bread Sorry blurry pic. Really good!

Food was really good... glad I didn't have to smoke overnight to cook some brisket... kids loved the Mac and cheese and we liked the potato salad Service was spot on, very attentive and friendly. Decent beer options as well. Opportunities to carry local breweries. Will be back though. Cheers!

Finally made it to MISTAH LEE'S SMOKIN' GOOD BBQ in Boynton on 441 just north of BB Blvd. It's world-class championship 'cue. (Nuff said!) Got brisket, ribs and chicken with collards, beans, slaw and cornbread -- all superb. Super-friendly staff. (The mighty Lee Stransky was out judging a competition.) Got there about twenty minutes after opening at three and they were sold out by six, so govern yourself accordingly.

Let me just start off by saying wow! This place was incredible I'm still thinking about the rib tips that were absolutely delicious. Everyone in the restaurant was so friendly and the service was so quick, such a family friendly place! And Lee was so attentive to all the customers making sure everything was alright, such great customer service! I highly recommend coming here and make sure you try the cornbread it was sooo good!

    Bbq! Amazing!

It took a few minutes to get a grasp on the menu. The staff was friendly and helped explain everything. I ultimately went with the lean brisket, a side of coleslaw, a side of collard greens and they also added in a piece of cornbread. My wife got the same, except she got the regular brisket which was much more fatty. I absolutely loved my food. Even though the brisket was lean, it was still very tender and of course the flavor was sensational. The sides were also solid. I liked that the coleslaw was chopped on the finer side and it wasn't too saucy. The collard greens also had great seasoning. I didn't try the cornbread but it looked pretty good. The only complaint we had was the texture of my wife's brisket which was a little on the mushy side. The flavor was good, it's just texture wise, most of it was like a big blob of meat and fat, rather than brisket slices. She wound up throwing more than half away. I've actually passed this place a million times and eaten at restaurants all over the area. But somehow I never stopped in at Mission BBQ. Glad I did! Four stars, I am looking forward to trying more items off their menu.
