RIP OFF! They don't post their prices anywhere and will try to add on charges for anything and everything and not tell you until the end. (For example: full set $85!!! Horrible. I went in to get a gel manicure because I heard they were better than acrylic nails and it turns out they gave me acrylic. I, not having much experience with fake nails and unfortunately not knowing at the time how the processes were different, did not know to say anything when they started doing acrylic. They completely ripped me off instead of doing what I asked because they could get away with it (because I did not know they were not doing what I had asked). When I described what they did to the lady I go to now for nails, she told me they had given me acrylic and charged me for gel. I was furious! These people take advantage of people and I can't stand it. I will not be returning! read more

Terrible experience here. I gave 5 stars initially because I always try to base the review on the service alone. To that end, they do a great job with nails and cleanliness. The customer service stinks. I have gone there twice. First time I loved my nails, service was poor even though we had appointments and they charged me $25 more than the cost of the services rendered. I was treating a friend so a. I was too embarrassed to address the overcharge/ ruin our outing with a complaint and b. since we were happy with our services I chose my battle and let it ride. Fast forward to today: it was the worst experience ever. I went with a friend for pedicures. I also needed a gel polish change. We were hoping to have our pedis together so we could chat and lucked up because there were two chairs available. Julie decided that she wanted me to have my polish change first although that was not what I wanted as she was available to start my pedi. She did the polish (only, no mani today) then walked me to the pedi chair. She ran cool water, I told her it was uncomfortable-twice- but she just walked away. My friend and I kept chatting (she was having her pedi as I sat with my feet on top of the basin, out of the cold water). Twenty minutes later, someone else came back to start my pedi. I told her the water was cold. She tried to add hot water but, because the basin was nearly full and the already cool water had sat for 20 minutes it didn't help. I asked if she could let some of the cold water out. As I asked, Julie interrupted and said, "No, we can't let any out; we already used a liner," referring to the sanitary basin liners. She told the tech to do my pedi in cold water! By that time, my friend was finished anyhow so I decided not to have the frigid pedicure. This apparently infuriated Julie. I gave them my credit card and walked over to the counter. My total was significantly more than it should have been, so I asked which services I was billed for. She charged me for a gel manicure instead of gel polish change and an extra $5 for "changing my mind"/ wasting their water. I politely declined to pay for the water out of principle. Julie began to yell, in front of everyone, nonstop. It was horrible. Her husband finally told her to stop and just fix the error. She refunded the water charge but did nothing about billing me for the wrong service. I didn't think she'd be civil (based on how she'd already reacted) so I just cut my losses on the extra money. Bottom line: they do a great job on nails but you have to watch them or they'll nickel and dime you. If you notice and address it, Julie is not going to offer a courteous resolution. I was really, really hoping this would be my go to salon but the business practices so far leave much to be desired. read more

This is one of the few times I've been let down by Yelp. I was looking for a nail salon for two pedicures and checked out Yelp. Lucio Nails had the highest rating and was close to where I was doing errands that day. I called and made an appointment for two pedicures and a eyebrow wax. My appointment was at 5:00. We arrived and did the usual pick the color and sat in the pedicure chairs. After sitting in the chair for 30 minutes someone finally came and started. This was after she attended people who arrived after me. I asked for a deluxe pedi, assuming that I would receive a longer massage. I was wrong, the massage lasted under a minute and I could barely feel it. The person I was with was still waiting. It wasn't until the lady finished with my pedi that she started hers. At this time it was after six, an hour past our appointment time. She didn't have time to paint my nails so she called over the owners teenager daughter to do it, who looked like she would rather be any where but there. The paint job was ok, I could have saved my money and done it at home. After the horrible pedicure, came the even worse wax. I've gotten my eyebrow waxed for over 10+ years at many different places and have always gone back to a wax room. Not at Lucio! They had me sit at the front desk chair and waxed me right there in front of everyone. I was very uncomfortable and it didn't seem sanitary. I think it goes without saying that I will never come back to Lucio Nails again. read more

Have gone there a number of times and it was ok. Recently they have gotten really hateful as they have gotten busier. They do not honor appointments, meaning it doesn't do any good to make an appointment. I had them do gel nails and the gel started peeling off within a few days, so not a good experience at all. read more

Went in for a pedicure and manicure!!!! All I can say is Lucino Nails on Woodruff rd is awesome!! Jim did my pedicure did a really good job. Julie did my manicure she did a really good job. The price for both was very very reasonable!! The pedicure was a surprise with hot rocks instead of hot towels. I will return for another. Give them a try I think you will give them a thumbs up as I did!!! They are new on Woodruff rd. I think they will be there for a long time. The salon is very clean and very nicely decorated. Stopped in for the first time yesterday for a French manicure. Beautiful salon that was VERY clean! Soft music was playing and it was extremely relaxing. The owner was very very nice as was the girl who did my nails. The manicure I got was one of the best I've had in a long time. I've been to several salons in the Greenville area and was disappointed at all of them - rude staff, sloppy work, unclean. But not here!!! I will definitely go back! read more

After several bad experiences from my previous salon, I was fed up and turned to Yelp. Lucio Nails did not have one bad review, so my choice was easy. I agree with everyone else. Not one bad thing to say! Julie and staff were professional, personable, and friendly. Salon was very clean. My nails look great. Not to mention prices are better than my old salon. My normal salon was closed for the holidays, so I ventured out to try a new salon. Based on reviews, I was hopeful. Walked in (not busy but all employees has customers) and was not greeted even with eye contact. So I verbalized I was there for a gel manicure to be sure I was in queue. 5 minutes later another lady walked in and said the same thing, she was taken straight back to a seat. She was not a regular or appointment, it was her first time there based on interactions and questions. So to be sure I was not missed I clarified that I was there for a gel mani. Was seated next to lady after me a couple minutes later, yet she was still helped and got soaked first. We were given samples (OPI marked by numbers NOT recognizable names which was also weird) so I could not tell if they for sure had the color I was planning on getting. Asked and was never told. Walked out due to being out of order and still waiting. I would not recommend after knowing the service that I'm used to getting at Tips and Toes! read more

Worst experience in a salon ever! They couldn't understand that I wanted Gel Nails. She thought I wanted a Gel Manicure. After trying to make them understand, while they kept going to other customers, I finally paid for the non-manicure and left. That took an hour out of my busy day. Never again! read more

The place was clean and the people were nice. But they charged me too much for a regular acrylic fill which I paid $30.00 instead of $20.00 and the job was ok. I also had a pedicure done for $25.00 and I thought it was alright. Overall I was not impressed by the quality of their service with a hefty price tag being charged. I was looking for a salon to take my mom and aunts to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Since I don't live in the area, I found Lucio Nails on yelp and decided to take a chance. This place was warm and inviting. They were so patient and kind to my family. It was relaxing, fun, the salon is beautiful and very clean. They use clean packaged tools on every client. I was highly disappointed. I have been getting my nails done for years with gel polish which usually will last about three weeks, or until it grows out. I went in today because I had read great reviews and was in this end of Woodruff road. I was seated quickly for a pedicure. It was very rushed and the lady only took about 15 Minutes total. No calluses were rubbed off, no cuticles were trimmed. She polished them and then her daughter (I'm assuming) finished them up. Then I got a manicure with gel polish, as well. The manicure was done with cold water, super rushed and so very sloppy. I have polish up onto my cuticles and nail beds. She "trimmed my cuticles", but there are tons of bits of skin left in the sides of each nail bed on at least 4 nails. It was as tough the pushed the cuticles down on those and then just didn't trim. The polish itself is sloppily done. There is actually polish down all the way onto two nails. As I was sitting, the lady began to complain about a customer who had called earlier and was not happy with her service. The owner proceeded to bad mouth the lady and basically told the customer that if she wanted something done, she would have to come in and have the polish taken off and reapplied- full price. Way to have great customer service!! The original lady did not finish my nails and I was finished up by what I am assuming, again, was her daughter. Highly disappointed and I will not be back. I would call to complain, but clearly that wouldn't do any good and would only get me mocked. read more

A friend and I were looking for some girl time and came across Lucio Nails. I made an appointment for 3:30 and walked in to find our time had been reserved and Julie, the owner, was waiting with a friendly greeting! The salon is clean and beautifully designed with soft music playing and soft lighting. Julie took excellent care to talk with us about what we wanted and took the time to recommend what would look best instead of selling upgrades. I chose acrylic tips with a gel manicure and my friend chose a pedi and gel polish mani. I have very short nails (I'm a nail-biter) and am prepared to be uncomfortable during the process along with expecting to wait a couple of weeks for my nails to grow and "look right". I usually have a day or so of my fingers being a bit sore and tender. This was NOT the case here!! I enjoyed every moment of my time and there was no discomfort or wait time for them to look right!! Julie's work is FLAWLESS and the customer service she and her staff give is impeccable! Lucio Nails is absolutely amazing! I am from out of town and I kept reading reviews about other salons and I couldn't decide where I wanted to get my nails done. I get my nails done every two weeks at a nail salon in Florida and I like my nails a certain way, so I was hesitant to get my nails done some where else. I got a pedicure and pink and white on my nails and they did a phenomenal job! Not to mention they were so friendly and sweet! By the time I left I felt like we had been friends for years.
