I went here because my friend recommended me and right off the bat the lady was very rude to me. She got mad at me for not making an appointment but the website and sign on the door said that walk ins were welcome. She also got mad at me for coming in at 4:30 because she had to leave at 5. I'm not sure how I was supposed to know that considering she closed at 7. She then proceeded to me rude to me friend and I. When she finally started my nails you could tell she was in a rush and wasn't actually trying. My pinky fingers where uneven and half of the nails weren't even the same length. It was an okay experience. They were very nice, the place was clean and organized, and the prices were decent. I wasn't very impressed with the work that was done though. I got an acrylic set put on, and they ended up being thick and rounded. Most of the tips are crooked on my fingers, and they didn't trim my nails or remove my cuticles. All in all they're not awful, but I definitely expected more after reading all the positive reviews. read more

Now this is not my first time here and they do a pretty darn good job! However, this time was insanity!! We came in around 4:40 and we're told about 30 -45 min (I had a friend and we wanted a mani/pedi). We told them we would come back and went and ran an errand we came back around 5:05. We sat and waited until 5:15 and then they took us to the spa chairs. Someone came and started my friend but as it was going on 6pm and no one had even come to start my pedi. Finally at like 6:10 one of the girls came and did my pedi. My friend got her manicure and I told them to forget mind considering how by now we had been here&awaiting for almost 2 hours. The sad thing is one of the guys was just standing around the whole time not doing a darn thing! I went here and there were only two people working. As soon as I walked in, the lady that was working (appeared she was the owner) started trying to get me to get gel on my nails after I continued to tell her I didn't want gel. I was trying to enjoy getting my nails done but as the guy was doing my nails, the lady who was working (the one who shoved the gel nails idea down my throat) was on the phone. She had the speaker on and was talking super loud while doing another woman's nails. Not only did I get a NAIL INFECTION but he didn't do a good job on my nails at all. He didn't even paint the entire nail. It's definitely safe to say that I will not be returning here ever. I added photos. The photo of the one index finger alone is the infected one. There is also a photo of both my index fingers side by side for. Also, a day after I posted this review my finger got even worse and green puss formed. Had to come here 6 days after getting a gel manicure at my last place, which was ridiculous. They removed my gel nails the way I hoped they would, and redid my gel mani. My Day 1 nails look better here than they did at my previous salon. The owner was friendly and incredibly fast. I was very impressed by that. The worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I went in for a gel mani and pedi. The pedicure was fine. When it came time to soak the gel off my nails the lady barely covered my nails with foil. I sat there for 20 minutes while one nail tech worked on two other people. I was disgusted that she went to customer to customer with out washing hands. She was doing two full sets and starting my manicure at the same time. Service was terrible. A customer shouldn't have to share there nail. After 20 minutes and no indication that she was going to take the foil off my nails I asked for my check and left... With half soaked off gel nails. They charge me $50 for a gel pedicure with no explanation. The lady who did my nails charged me and walked away from me. I had to ask her why it was so expensive, when I chose their $30 pedicure. Julia really cared about her clients and was extremely friendly. Even though she was short staffed that day she was prompt and courteous to everyone that entered her door. Her work was good. Pedicure was about average but the wow factor was definitely the stone massage! I really wanted designs but she was unable to do them which I appreciated her honesty and not trying to just take my money and give something I did not like. I ended up with a full set of pink and white nails in which I am in love with. The true question is would I return? The answer would be yes and no. I would return for the pink and white and any other simple false nails but not for designs ( if that is something I was really wanting). I will be going back to maintain my pink and white but I know I won't be asking for designs with her unless she employees someone who has a great portfolio. Compared to the other salons in Greenville I will end that on a note that she does have literally the best salon. I cannot fully review the quality of work as I have only had my nails a week but I will review again to determine the true quality of the products used. Julie is incredible and has a wonderful eye for detail. Moving from Charleston where I was a regular for 7 years at my old salon, I thought I would never find another salon that would match the professionalism that I expect...however, Julie and her staff do just that! PLEASE READ!!! - i promise if i could give ZERO stars i absolutely would. went in today for a simple full set - my only request was that my nails were flat and didn't have that awkward hump...i was argued down by the nail tech Julie - she swore that there was no way possible she could achieve a flat nail because of how my nails were " shaped "..however it has been done multiple times. i was badgered and harassed to the point it made me cry. luckily there was one other customer there that experienced the horrendous service i was given..i WILL NOT be back. i would totally advise everyone to stay away from here. read more

I have to say this is one of the best nail salons I have been too! I went in to get a full set of acrylics (this being the second time in my life getting them) and Julie did an amazing job! I had found a mood changing color online and Showed it to her. She did not have the one that I had found, but she made a beautiful suggestion that worked perfectly with what I needed. This time, however, the owner's daughter (an unlicensed high school girl) did the manicure and I was still charged full price.I went back when the nails started lifting prematurely and ask for them to be redone since an unlicensed individual performed the manicure. If you are looking for a quick mani/pedi and don't care about how you're treated, you'll want to go somewhere else. The owner is simply AMAZING and made me feel like I was at an expensive, high-end SPA. I came in for a mani/pedi around 6:45 PM, knowing they close at 7:30 PM. The owner didn't hesitate to be sure I had the very best experience and went out of her way to ensure my comfort. The environment is like no other "nail salon" I've ever seen -- it was impeccably clean and relaxing, with soft lighting and quiet music playing. This is much different than the typical blaring televisions and loud conversation one might expect. My pedicure was incredible, and the spa chairs were absolutely top-of-the-line. So comfortable!! My pedicure didn't finish until almost 7:30 PM and the owner didn't hesitate to continue on with my manicure, even though the salon was technically closed and her family was there with her (I offered to return the next day and she insisted I stay!). She again went out of her way to ensure my needs were met. She explained a different nail technique (gel polish) to me than I had planned (simple mani), and I trusted her suggestion and insight without hesitation. I now have the cutest silver sparkly nails that have not chipped in the slightest -- and it's been 2 weeks! I plan to go back in another 2 weeks for a fresh gel polish and another calm, relaxing experience. When I am able to leave the husband at home with the kids and escape from the madness of raising 3 young children, you can BET my first stop will be at Lucio Nails. I'm extremely happy with my experience and want to help get the word out about this amazing, new pampering destination, but at the same time, I almost want to keep this awesome little gem to myself! Honestly it would be worth your time to make your next mani/pedi at Lucio Nails. I promise you they will exceed your expectations and treat you like royalty! I started out LOVING this place. I love how it's decorated and the very large selection of polishes. But I guess I just fell out of favor with Julie since I wasn't an old customer. Her first fill was great. I guess since I came in on a cold rainy day in October after people had cancelled she was able to take time. But after that it went totally downhill. I always felt like I was second rate. She kept talking to other customers while their nails were drying and basically ignored me during the time she was doing mine. First off when I got there there were people there (not even a full house) and and one worker talked to me across the whole room. She could not even come to the counter to converse with me and see what I needed done. Everyone basically heard the whole conversation. She asked if I don't have an appointment she couldn't take me and I said okay I'll just go somewhere else and she basically gave the impression as "Okay good leave already."
