I've been a big fan of a local social media personality who calls himself "the Burger Review Guy" here in the Toledo area. He posts videos of him trying burgers mostly from recommendations and then rates them based on flavor and if they are cooked as he ordered them. I have been very impressed with several local restaurants he's rated with high praise. The other night I happened to be near his restaurant and was looking forward to eating there. Sadly, I left very disappointed. To start with, with very few customers there, the service was slow and the staff didn't seem up to speed. Then the food came out. The onion rings were clearly high quality but warm at best. The only two good things I can say about the burger is, it was cooked to order, and the bun was a quality bun. The burger had little to no flavor and the "grilled" mushrooms were cold. On his scale of 1-10, I'd give the burger a 6.5 I have heard many people I know give them good reviews, so I'd probably give them another shot of on the area, but I wouldn't make the 35 minute drive just to eat there. If you're gonna put yourself out there as some kind of Burger expert, maybe you should make sure your own restaurant is on point first. read more

The burgers really aren't smashburgers came out cold, no crispy edges and no cheese. Asked where my cheddar cheese that I ordered was and they brought me a cold slice of cheddar. Food took an hour and a half and they had the nerve to tack operational cost on my bill. My wife got a salad, big, but alot of iceberg lettuce and not much else. No napkins. Saw two different tables get up and leave before their food came. I want a small town place to succeed. Maybe just a really off night for them. read more

Stopped by chance due to traffic.backup on I-75. Luckey, Ohio is a quaint and historical town in Ohio. As you enter, Luckey, you will see a beautiful town hall built in 1894. It is so cute!! Finally got over to the OG Burger Guys place! Dining room is spacious and we were greeted/sat right away. Our server was Madison and she was friendly and made sure our drinks stayed full. I had the pizza smash burger and it was all i expected it to be. Love opted for a mushroom swiss and it was delicious! The mac n cheese is creamy and extremely tasty. We went on 2/20/2026 arrived at 615 pm. We sat at the bar, we were ignored for over 10 minutes by the bartender. When we asked for napkins we were given 3. We got to odered after 15 more minutes after we got our drinks. Our burgers sat in the order window for over 10 minutes. My daughter monti crisco was soggy. My smashburgers wasn't made correctly and because it sat for over 10 minutes the bun on the bottom was soggy. The manager was very nice. Need to do better job on employee hiring. We walked in and no hostess stand, no one greeted us, we just stood there not knowing what to do. Finally I ask one of the 3 people working at the bar if we seated ourself and she said yes but I don't think we have any empty tables. So we stood there more and a booth became available finally a waitress cleaned the both and seated us, all that took 12 minutes. People were looking at us standing there like we were from Mars. I work in the area and decided to check out Luckey Junction after hearing so much about it. Definitely one of the BEST smash burgers I have ever had. They have a great menu with most meals ranging from $13-14. Definitely worth traveling to this small little town for a good burger and fries. Six of us went to Luckey Junction last evening for the first time. What a great selection of burgers on the menu and they did not disappoint! 3 of us had burgers- Smokehouse Smash Burger, Jalapeño Popper Smash Burger, and Mushroom Swiss Burger- all delicious with fresh lettuce tomato, onion options to add. What's better than a small town diner?! Nothing. If you are looking for gourmet, you're completely lost. Luckey has had its challenges with keeping a local restaurant in town. This I think will stick. Great local bar food choices. I ordered fried pickles and also sweet potatoes fries served with Carmel sauce. Both were fresh and gone quickly! I ordered the fried bologna sandwich which did not disappoint!!! Brings me way back to childhood. This place gets packed but remember it's mostly locals so be casual and you will fit right in no problem! Service was great with lots of staff on a Thursday night. I'd much rather support a local business than a chain, and the food here tastes better, the service is pleasant, the tables are interesting, your utensils and serving ware aren't disposable plastic. Luckey Junction has a friendly staff, solid pub menu with burgers, fried pickles, bologna sandwiches, fish & chips, pizza. I ordered the fish and chips from the smiling server. $11 with tax, before tip. It was good--hot, crunchy, tender, not greasy! Freshly made to order (another bonus with locally owned places--your food is made to order, so you don't have to send it back, requesting that your food be served "hot"). The bar area is filled with locals. Some guy yelled "hey baby" at me as I was literally walking out the door(my table was at the window), his friends laughed.
