Onion rings were tasty but $7. I got the 1/4 burger with fries special for $7.50 subbed with tater tots or home fries. Huge plate of tots but they wern't crispy so very monotonous texture. My burger was probably a 6/10 even thing needed salt/seasoning. It was on the bucket list so for us one and done. The pie and ice cream looked like a better plan.

Sadly, I left very disappointed. To start with, with very few customers there, the service was slow and the staff didn't seem up to speed. Then the food came out. The onion rings were clearly high quality but warm at best. The only two good things I can say about the burger is, it was cooked to order, and the bun was a quality bun. The burger had little to no flavor and the "grilled" mushrooms were cold. On his scale of 1-10, I'd give the burger a 6.5 I have heard many people I know give them good reviews, so I'd probably give them another shot of on the area, but I wouldn't make the 35 minute drive just to eat there. If you're gonna put yourself out there as some kind of Burger expert, maybe you should make sure your own restaurant is on point first.

The only downside to Granny's kitchen is the short seating and the long wait for food. However, their staff is small in size but each one is extremely friendly and welcoming. My food or ice cream is always good but their pancakes blow me away. Their syrup fits the taste of their pancakes perfectly they are never over or undercooked. They have better pancakes than IHOP and they are only a small, local business. I give Granny's kitchen only a 4 also because of their damaged and uncomfortable seating but I can't think of another down side besides the two I mentioned in the beginning. The wait isn't too long so it's not like your waiting there for 45 minutes. Thank you for reading my review! read more
