Tonight my boyfriend and I called in an order for takeout, I was told by the young lady at the desk that our order would be ready in 30-35 minuets. Seems reasonable enough, right? What's unreasonable is showing up 40 minuets after the order was placed only to find out that our order was never put in with the kitchen. I gave 3 stars because the food is good. -I would have given them more stars, but they really don't deserve it after the service we received. Not only did the forget our order, they messed it up a bit too. My boyfriend ordered the "Fillets and Rings" it comes with onion rings. He definitely did not get onion rings, he got tater tots. I'd like to think that their dine-in service is better, but I really wouldn't know. With all of that being said, order to-go with caution. read more

I think the wings have a little too much breading, if I were to go back I would get them without breading. We've never actually eaten in the restaurant, and based on the inept carry out service, we most likely never will. The food is always good and the portions are great, so there's no fault there. The problem is that we have yet to get a carry out order that is correct. Tonight, one of us ordered a chicken sandwich with a side salad. We received a house salad with chicken and a side salad. Really? Yes, I'll take a side salad with my salad. Then, just pick off stuff you don't like, because no matter how you order things (no tomato, no sour cream etc.) it will always just come on your food anyway. I served for 18 years and my advice is that it would be great if the carry out order staff actually repeat stuff back to avoid these mistakes. Wasn't sure what to expect. Rustic and unique setting in a BARN! Clever name "barn & grill". Typical American fare - burgers, wings, starters. It all looked really good. I've tried eating at Luckie's a few times with pretty much the same results. I did not want to give a review on my initial visit, in case it was a fluke, which it wasn't. With that said... The food is average at best. The burgers are exactly that, average. The steak was probably the best item I've had. It was tender and flavorful while cooked almost exactly perfect. The smothered chicken was not bad, but a bit small for the price. Beer and drink selections are the usual bar listing with no real deviance. Same with the prices for drinks ($3.50 for a 24oz beer). The worst part of eating there is the menu does not match what you get more often than I think is forgivable. There have been extra charges for sides other than fries or tots, when extra fees where not listed. If you want the fish dinner be aware that it is $12.99 for 2 small pieces of perch, not the 3 that the menu states. Overall, the food is ok and the service could be better. But the need to clarify or be surprised when things don't match the menu make this a less than average restaurant. read more

I have been to Luckies many times and have always had good service. We went there with our family yesterday and it was the slowest service I think i have ever had anywhere. Took an hour to get our food, and two orders were wrong. My steak was overcooked but I didn't dare send it back for fear of waiting another hour. When we got our food I ordered a take out dinner, we ate, waited 15 minutes for our check and still no take out order ready. We asked, they said 3 to 4 more minutes. Then the waitress, not the manager, came out to tell us there was a screw up and the order was never even made. Yes, they deducted it from our bill, but I don't think we will ever go there again! read more

Disappointing. Ordered wings and they were soggy and the fries had no flavor. I ordered ranch to dip wings but it was so thick that when you dip your wing nothing was on it. One of the biggest things I miss since I moved to Boston! The absolute epitome of a superb locally owned establishment! The owner Jeff treats both regulars and first time patrons like family! Staff is phenomenal and really makes you feel at home when there. Food is what can be expected from this type of business and drinks are always generously poured. Has a great "mom and pop" vibe. I just hope it stays the same and doesn't ever get the "corporate vibe" you get when dining at a "Buffalo Wild Wings" per say. We said it didn't matter, so the young lady seated us in the dining room which was fine with us as we were the only ones in the dining room. Several children sitting in the bar area? Strange. Husband ordered the chicken chunks with the hot sauce. He loved them. I had the filets and rings. 3 bacon wrapped pieces of beef cooked exactly as I ordered them, medium rare. Rings were beer battered. You could smell the beer. Tasted good, but batter a little too thick for me. Kinda soggy not crispy. The server kept our drinks full. We also ordered the fried pickles, huge basket and good! The basket of fries were huge too. We could not eat all of our food. Portions were large. Lunch the next day! Winning! Bad experience tonight while attempting to liver a door dash order. Door dash order was to be picked up at 6:25, and at 6:20 I received a text message from the restaurant that the order was ready. When I got there and called curbside number, I was told there were 2 orders for a Brian S and mine wasn't ready yet. I waited. And waited. 3 times I made contact with the curbside attendant and she told me they were backed up and waiting on a burger. At 7:00 (35 minutes after the promised time) the attendant told me she got manager involved and she went to kitchen to get after them about the burger. I walked inside to chat with the managers and this is really where things went bad. The manager was rude and dismissive to me. I'm did finally get her to admit that the kitchen gave my burger away to another customer and just then started on my burger (35 minutes after promised pick up time), but she was rude and annoyed that I continued to inquire about the order, and seemed out off that I even came in to talk to her...the exact opposite of what I was expecting from her. We went to this establishment on 4/29/15. Our order of fried pickles had a staple in them, which I discovered upon eating. Funny enough the waitress was right there when it happened. She took the staple, apologized, and said she would be telling her manager. No manager ever came to our table. This is the second time my family has been there. We chose this restaurant because of the wide variety of food. I have a picky eater and it gets difficult finding him something that he'll eat. I brought my elderly father who was tickled to see the perch dinner on the menu also. We both had that and loved it! We were passing thru on our way home in PA and stopped here for dinner. It was my dad's birthday and we could not have picked a more perfect restaurant. The wait staff got my dad's sense of humor and gave it right back. He had the best time. The food and service were great. I usually go there every Tuesday and Sunday after work and sit at the bar. The food is pretty good and the bartender is always polite and gives me good service. However there's this one server that I actually found out is the general manager the last time I was there that is completely disrespectful to her fellow employees. She yells and degrades them in front of customers and I actually witnessed it a couple weeks ago when she did it right in front of me to the bartender. I'm not sure what the girl did wrong but no one should be treated like that or embarrassed in front of their piers. I'm embarrassed for this establishment to have her as the face of the restaurant. I can only imagine how she treats customers. I give the food and the bartender that usually waits on me when I come in a solid 4 stars but unfortunately I don't think I'll be back because I cannot support a place that employs that kind of person. read more
