    Kids Tenders n fries

Passing thru a place where there doesn't seem to be many options, this was actually a good experience. It appears to be an old chain restaurant building, scrambler Marie I suppose. The waitress was nice, accommodating, and attentive enough. The space was clean enough, but needed updates for sure. My mon ordered goulash, and was okay with it , just thought it was heavy in the cheese. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap, it was good, my only complaint is I wish they used blue cheese or American cheese even instead of shredded cheese. When you pile the shredded cheese in a tortilla, and you get a big bite, all that cheese feels dry and powdery. My daughter didn't like the Tenders but enjoyed the fries. My husband liked his burger but wanted pink inside and it wasn't. The chicken dumpling soup was good, and homemade.

If you know me at all, you know I absolutely hate The Scrambler Marie chain, so I was a bit apprehensive about American Table which is in an old Scrambler's location with literally nothing changed in regards to layout or atmosphere. But the food and service? They are great! I've been surprised and impressed that we can walk in on any given Sunday, including during holidays, when the restaurant is seemingly as busy as it could possibly be, and we still get our food quickly, with consistant quality and a smile each time. Thumbs up! American Table is a classic Toledo experience with ridiculously wonderful people watching, and of course, a greek item or two on the menu to enjoy.

This is my husband's family favorite breakfast stop when we head back to good ole Oregon, Ohio to visit. The America Table reminds me of a family-owned restaurant. Nothing fancy. Nothing too expensive. The food has always been pretty good and the portions are huge! I always get the veggie omelet and it's served with a huge side of hash browns and toast. My husband usually gets the big AL special, which includes pancakes, eggs, hash browns and different types of breakfast meat - all for $9.99. It's outrageous - we can never finish our meals, but we do a pretty good job of trying. Looking for a decent breakfast for a great value- American Table is your place! And if you think the prices are high here than you haven't ventured outside of Oregon, Ohio!

I was the dishwasher there and trust me you don't want to eat there. There were nats flying around in the kitchen and that made me leave.

They had a special for a smash burger and fries for $10 bucks that looked good but what caught my eye was the beef sandwiches. I ended up ordering the Blue Cheese Beef which consisted of shredded beef topped with melted blue cheese, bacon and tomatoes. One of my friends ordered the smash burger deal and my wife ordered the Cheesy Spinach flatbreads. We were also there early enough for the happy hour drink specials and ordered some draft beer. Our first drinks came pretty quickly and the food wasn't too far behind. My beef sandwich came with an au jus sauce and a side of tater tots. This sandwich was amazing and I will probably order it again the next time we are there. The beef was tender and flavorful and the blue cheese with bacon stepped up the flavors. My wife really enjoyed her flatbread as it had the perfect amount of cheese and crispy crust. My friend liked her smash burger as well which looked like a generous size for the special. The only thing that could have been improved is for our waitress to check on us more frequently. Our drinks had run dry and we were almost done eating before she came back. Besides that, the food was great and I recommend you to stop in here for one of their daily specials or get yourself a beef sandwich.

I first discovered this cute cafe' 12 months ago and gave it 5 stars because the Turkey Reuben…read moresandwich was amazing. Today, I tried something else that I unfortunately didn't love, so I'm rating it 4 stars. Today, I didn't place my to-go order ahead of time and instead walked in and sat at the counter and sipped on a diet pepsi while I waited. I would describe the decor as cozy, rustic farmhouse chic, with lots of pictures of pigs. I had time to take pics while I waited for my order. I stopped in a bit later than the usual lunch rush, so there was literally no one dining in. A couple of people came in to pick up their carryout orders. The server was very friendly and down to earth. I ordered the pepper smoked turkey sandwich based on some reviews that raved about it. Rather than chips or fries, I opted to upgrade to a slaw for $2 more. I couldn't wait to get back to the office and try the food. Before digging in, I took photos because everything looked delicious. The meal was top notch quality. The turkey was thickly sliced with artisan lettuce and a garlic aioli sauce, plus cheddar cheese. The bread was a tasty sour dough. I ordered it without onions because I didn't want onion breath. Despite the high quality ingredients, it somehow wasn't amazing. It was very good but I didn't taste the pepper flavor on the turkey. The slaw was a nice mixture of kale, cabbage and carrots. For my taste, the cream sauce was on the sweet side, whereas my preference is less sweet and more tangy. Nevertheless, the ingredients were very fresh. As I reached the bottom of the bowl, however, there was a lot of runny cream sauce. Again, my personal preference is for less cream; someone else might love it. I know it seems like I am being overly picky, but I should mention that the total cost of my lunch (before tip) was $18.75 (sandwich, slaw and diet pepsi that was a fountain drink with mostly ice). Yes, everything is expensive these days, but I couldn't help being disappointed. I would absolutely return and order the Turkey Reuben in a heartbeat but wouldn't order the pepper turkey sandwich, slaw or soda. I'd also recommend dining in the adorable restaurant rather than eating at an office desk with plastic utensils!

If you're looking for a welcoming downtown spot with tasty comfort food, The Adams Street Café…read moredoesn't disappoint. The menu is generous and varied from Nashville hot chicken sandwich, smoked beef, turkey bacon gouda, and even vegan-friendly dishes like a crisp vegetable hash. Portions are hearty and filling, and everything we tried (butter fries included) was well-seasoned and done right. The décor has a charming, homey rustic vibe, with cozy seating and plenty of character. Service was friendly and attentive, though things do get a bit loud when it's busy but that adds to the lively atmosphere rather than taking away. Prices felt very reasonable for what you get, especially given the quality and freshness. All in all, The Adams Street Café is a solid go-to for breakfast or lunch in Toledo.
