Great food at great prices. I love their prime rib and their walleye. The service is awesome.

Dinner tonight was at the Oregon Inn and once again a great evening. We had reservations so we were seated immediately, our waitress came right over to take drinks order. Entrees were given, and in a short time our dinners arrived. From the Lake Erie Perch to the grilled Salmon and the Prime Rib were excellently prepared.The inside was clean and orderly. If you have never been to the Oregon Inn you should give them a try and in the summer you can eat outside on the patio by the lake. read more

We ate there twice while staying at the Maumee Lodge. We had planned to only eat there one night but enjoyed the experience so much that we went a second time. It was definitely the service and atmosphere that brought us back. Employees were very friendly and helpful and it felt as though we were regulars. We didn't realize that they had more wine selections than what was listed on the menu and the woman working the door pointed out that they had several other wine offerings and recommended some great ones. Will definitely go back the next time we are at the lodge. read more

It was a small homey kind of place. There are steaks and seafood on the menu, a senior discount from 3-6(Sun-Thur only). Lots of local beers on tap, plenty of wine and it looked like a full bar. Service was quick and they do check back. I got the perch meal with 2 sides. Garlic mashed potatoes are very good, salad looked good , but I'd skip the French onion soup. read more

We were staying at nearby Maumee Bay State Park. We arrived at opening and were the first customers on a Saturday afternoon (2pm). Got a little worried as we were the only car in the parking lot. From the get go everything was top notch. Our server was excellent. We both had the Walleye ( one fried, the other blackened ). Both perfectly done. Salad was nice and fresh. We ordered the carrot cake to go. Realistically enough to feed four people it was that big. Price wise it was a little on the pricier side. But the food was the star of the show . The only negative I would recommend is a little TLC on the exterior of the building. The mossy canvas awnings gave it a neglected look. But otherwise we will return. read more

The Oregon Inn is a hidden gem in Oregon Ohio. It's a family owned and operated establishment that is enjoyed by the locals as much as visitors from outside. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The staff a very friendly and helpful . The menu looked really good. We went for fresh perch and walleye and that did not disappoint. But prime rib is a specialty and the chef's special was a roasted chicken dinner that looked sensational and many of the regulars were ordering it. The portions on all the dishes were generous. We decided on a little road trip out to the Maumee Bay shore line and we're pleasantly surprised by great food good service and a very cute atmosphere! The Oregon inn was just what we needed sitting out on the patio watching the birds play in the flowers and enjoy a great burger and a great club sandwich if you're ever out this way make sure to stop in it's worth your time and the drive!! read more

We went back last Saturday. There were 5 of us and my meal was sent back. One of our other dining partners almost sent hers back too. I ordered the fried walleye. I've seen a lot of folks order it and it always looks so good. Jeez, it was so overcooked, I couldn't eat it. The other "clinker" was the balsamic chicken. I didn't try it, but it wasn't very appetizing in appearance. The chicken was made of a pounded chicken breast that was either broiled or sauteed in olive oil or butter. I couldn't tell for sure, but it was just gray and not good looking at all. It was topped with a slice of tomato that was possibly boiled (it was really mushy and honestly disgusting) and then, well, I'm not sure. The thirds person ordered the walleye, but hers was broiled and she said it was delicious. The other 2 folks ordered the prime rib. For dessert, a mammoth slice of the lemon, blueberry cake was split by everyone. This is large enough for 4 people (I didn't imbibe) and costs something like $14 or $15 dollars per slice. Not sure why they don't just lower the price to something more reasonable and then each person could order their own piece of they want? The drinks and salads were fine. I guess if you go here, stick to the prime rib. If you venture into other waters to satiate your pescatarian needs/desires, you may be in for a letdown (ha, that's funny! Waters/pescatarian... Nothing???). Same goes for yardbird... Stick to the beef! read more

Nice local place close to Maumee Bay State Park. Inside is a bar and casual restaurant. Good was very good. Rolls were served warm with butter. Side salads were large. Chicken salad was delicious. Kids did not like the Mac and cheese and thought it was too stringy. read more

I started with the French Onion Soup. It was delicious. Then I had the large cut Prime Rib. What a hunk of meat and perfectly cooked with Asparagus. Medium rare of course. Stumbled across the Oregon Inn on Bayshore as a family member had a gift card. A group of 9 of us stopped in on a Friday afternoon for lunch. We were warmly greeted upon entering and were promptly seated. This was my first time to experience the Oregon Inn. It is not much to look at from the outside, but it is a diamond in the rough for sure. Our server was more than accommodating, very helpful to the group in making suggestions, and answering any questions we had about the menu. Drinks and appetizers were at the table before we knew it and our meals were brought to the table in perfect timing as we finished the appetizers and salads. A few in our group ordered a half portion of Lake Perch and the filets were enormous! All of us were very satisfied with our food, the service was on point, and the price point was very reasonable for the size of the portion. Very well done. We will be back! read more

The experience wasn't too bad but one of our party ordered a steak medium well and it came out about 1/4 inch and we got 3/4 inch steaks. We ordered ours Medium. When we asked about the thin steak and the difference in size, the waitress said. "Well you ordered it Well Done". Sounds like we didn't know the size and the thickness of the steak depended on the temperature of cooking. He actually ordered it, medium to medium well. The waitress did not offer to bring out the manager or any other options. Not impressed and the steak was $39.99! Definitely not worth a $40 steak! He did not eat it all. It went home to my dog. The salad was your typical salad and the sides were typical. Nothing extraordinary. Just surprised by the response from the waitress! Geez. Beware grouchy help. Food quality has been declining over our last several visits. We have had to send food back because it was either room temperature or cold to the touch. Wait staff is hit or miss, today the server was very short with us and quite sullen. The Oregon Inn is the type of Toledo area gem I hope will be around forever. Mostly because of the authentically local experience it provides The menu is simple in it's point of view, with things like fried fish, and pasta, but what you realize once the food arrives is that for example the steak, is hand cut and cooked to shocking perfection. And that cajun seasoning you might have asked for? It will actually be way more than a light dusting. Sure, the side salads are a little wilty, and the shrimp cocktail was not served cold, but goodness gracious, that coconut cream pie was a slice of heaven. The location and interior are uniquely homey, and the food is priced a little higher than you'd expect for the area, but it's a great experience and the service was truly kind. Just give them some patience. It can get super busy on the weekends, so if it's your first time, try to get there early for a good seat. read more

Loved this gem near Maumee Bay State Park. We had the senior cut prime rib with salad and baked potato. The salad with blue cheese dressing was delicious. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and the perfect size for me. The baked potato was tender with whipped butter and real sour cream. What knocked our socks off was the cake! Giant slices! Both the carrot cake and the lemon blueberry cake. You must get the cake! read more

Service was good and the ambiance was ok. You can tell the age on the outside but it appears to be pretty well maintained inside. I ordered something called a manhattan it was supposed to be prime rib with bread gravy and potatoes. It was not prime rib at all. It tasted more like roast beef . It was dried out meat not even moist. So I sent it back and told them that it was not good at all. So then I got the chef salad. Man that took wayyy longer than the so called Manhattan meal. However, it tasted a million times better as well. So bottom line is that prime rib is not prime rib don't order it unless you want a dried out roast beef dinner. read more

Great food and service. Was hoping th sit outside with a view of the lake but that wasn't possible. The bugs were horrible and you can't see the lake. Lunch was amazing the freshness of the tomatoes on the tomato bread with the melted cheese and herbs was a great match. The mussels were good but not great. The seafood salad was fresh and satisfying with the sweet and sour celery seed dressing. My perch was perfectly cooked it was my first time trying Lake Erie perch I knew it was mild but was wanting more flavor. read more

I am not a fried food consumer, but the dusted perch were light and excellent. The house salad was fresh and generous. So my husband enjoyed a little heavier meal and I left delighted as well- not always the case when we are eating out on vacation. Would go back again if in the area! I am very upset. The Oregon Inn advertises outside dining and they have a very cute outside dining area in the back but when we came we were told we could not eat outside. Excellent light fried perch. Menu is large with options for everyone. Eat like the locals and get the lake perch. Salad is mixed iceberg, but they make the good ranch-ranch lovers- you know what i mean. Vibes are local casual. Local wines available. Or boxed wine, no shade. Great artichoke dip and crab dip available. No reservations, so expect a wait during birding seasons. Service was fast once seated, no frills, but very busy when we went. There is much to choose from out here in Oregon. This place sits on the main street of a neighborhood. It's a regular house that they built k to adding a several dining areas, a bar and a patio. The parking lot is really small and the parking spaces are narrow. We found out after the fact that it's a good idea to have reservations, however they didn't seem crowded by any big city standard. It must just be the fact that there isn't many places to eat around here. The menu is many pages with lots of choices. They have walleye, perch, salads, prime rib, pasta, burgers etc. Our waitress said they are know for the prime rib and the perch. Order: Open face Prime rib sandwich w/ chips $9.99 My wife ordered the pollock sandwich (you'll have to see her review for pics) also includes chips. $7.49 The open face prime rib sandwich was a 6 oz portion cooked to order. I choose medium and it came out perfectly. There was toasted white bread, a cup of au jus and a dish of creamy horseradish sauce included with the meal. The meal was great, I enjoyed every bite. It was tender, juicy and flavorful. I tried a bite of the pollock and it was very tender and battered very nicely. We had a wonderful dinner and would definitely come back again. read more
