I braved the rain and wind to come check out luckis. The pictures of the superman cheese cake is what caught my eye and why I made the drive. Really cute quaint shop. It doesn't really have its own dedicated parking lot since it's right in 6mike but it's close to the corner so park on the side street and walk back. So of COURSE they didn't have what I came for. While the rain drowned out my fat kid tears, I finally had to decide on something else. It would have been nice if the counter person offered suggestions of what else to try since your out of what I wanted. A tad bit of customer service and salesman ship would have gone a long way here. The butter pecan cheesecake was ok. The crust was just missing something and it killed the whole thing for me. The cheesecake was rich and flavor was true to the name... just the crust.... not quite right. The second slice I chose was strawberry crunch cheesecake. This one was a much lighter, less rich cheese cake (not a bad thing at all). Flavor again spot on and true to Name. This crust was perfect. I would give them another try as they are in my neighborhood and I would love to see them flourish. Just step up the counter service and suggestive sell when your out of something

I would have never stopped at Lucki's had it not been for an associate mentioning in on his page (Social media does work for small business). The strawberry cake cheesecake he bought looked mouthwatering. So I stopped by Luckis and realized that it was right near the corner of Six Mile & Livernois near Lou's. A small, local business started by a young lady who is enrolled in college pursuing her degree. There are over 50 flavors on the standard menu for Luckis Cheesecake. Some of your regular flavors and unique ones' such as Junk Food Cheesecake and Run Cake Cheesecake. I bought a couple of slices and took them home to taste test with the family. The cheesecake is not your normal full slice of cheesecake as some have a mix of cake in them. For example the caramel cake cheesecake is an infusion of cake + cheesecake wrapped in caramel flavor. Really rich, sweet & tasty. I couldn't eat an entire slice, which run $3 each. If you aren't a sugar fan, but like cheesecake there is a sugar-free option. They take cash, credit cards, and ebt cards for the sweet treats that range from $20-$45 for a whole cheesecake. It's best to call 2 days in advance if you want something in particular. When I went there were only 10 different flavors out. For you daring people, there is a salmon cheesecake. Never thought of salmon in cheesecake, but hey then again there is a market for ice cream with bacon.

After seeing these cheesecakes on Instagram, I couldn't wait to try them. I work during the hours they're open so I was having a hard time getting over here to see it for myself. One of my coworkers brought a slice of the superman cheesecake into work for me and I was so thankful! You have to give it to this place for creativity. Who would honestly think of putting these flavors into cheesecake and having it taste as amazing as it does? I can't say anything for the location as I haven't experienced it for myself, but their product is amazing. The cheesecake is creamy and tangy as usual but the flavor and color is what makes this cake standout. It tastes just like superman ice cream (one of my favorites) just with a small sour kick from the cream cheese. The graham cracker crust is delightfully crunchy to offset how creamy this cheesecake is. It's also topped with this superman crumbles that make this cake really look like something special. While I was eating this, I had so many people stop at my desk and ask me what it was and where they could get it. Strongly recommend trying this place if your in the mood for something different.

Lucki's is one of the best kept secrets in Detroit! Her cheesecakes are to die for, and flavors range from Oreo, Dutch Apple, to my favorite, Strawberry Apple Cheesecake (it features fresh strawberries, apples, graham cracker crumble and caramel drizzle). I promise to post a pic of these delectable (and reasonably priced) cheesecakes asap. Lucki also makes pies and cookies, what are you waiting for? Get this, Lucki is still under 25! Support this local young entrepreneur.

I really enjoyed coming here to grab some cheesecake for myself and my family and a couple friends. I love that they have so many different varieties and choices for you to pick on cheesecakes. The lady was super nice and very helpful on helping me pick a few slices for myself. I love they have the option on getting entire pie for events. They recommend if you are going to get a full pie to call at least six days before an event you have. I plan on getting another cheesecake from here for an event I have coming up soon. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for something unique and loves cheesecake as much as I do.

I wish I could've tried them all during this visit, but I'll definitely be back soon. Out of the flavors I tried, Cereal Milk and Sea Salt Butter Cake stood out to me. I ended up getting a single scoop of the Sea Salt Butter Cake. It reminded me of sea salt caramel with pound cake. The scooper was super sweet. She let us try a bunch of flavors and gave us time to think about what we wanted to order. There are seats inside to eat your ice cream. We had parked at parking structure in downtown about a 5 minute walk away, but one of my friends got lucky and found street parking right outside. Street parking is fairly limited though. I do love the location of this store, as its proximity in downtown makes it an easy stop after grabbing food in the area. I can't wait for my next visit!

The sea salt butter cake and 3-peanut were the standouts for me--so good! The freshly made waffle cone was flavorful and the perfect finishing touch. The woman working was also so pleasant and helpful. Even with a long line, she worked hard, moved through everyone efficiently, and kept a smile on her face. Great ice cream, fresh cones, and wonderful service. I'll definitely be back!

Service and Ambiance was perfect. Have no complaints when it came to that at all…read more The food however was another story. I've been hearing really good things for about year regarding this place. Especially the French onion soup. I absolutely adore French onion soup. If you like a sweet soup that doesn't have that rich beefy flavor you will like this. If you like rich , savory French onion soup you will be unfortunately as disappointed as I was. We did try the mushroom tart, there was so much cream on the tart it made the pastry dough soggy. There were so many leeks it was overpowering. We got the duck confit and it was dry and tasteless. Needless to say, I had to make us lunch when we got home and I cried on the way home due to how disappointed I was. We will never be back.

One giant raise for her, please, thanks. At least 10 extra dollars an hour. I got the uhhh. Brioche... something. Basically fancy French toast with caramelized apples on top with a really good whipped cream. Super good. Might start caramelizing apples for French toast all the time now. My friend got the duck slow cooked in oil, forgot what it's called. But I tried a piece and it was really good too. Oily, but that should be expected of something submerged and cooked in oil. First time trying duck, and I think it's more fatty than chicken, so that probably contributes as well. Still good though. The lemon financier was good too, reminded me of like a lemon pound cake if you aren't sure if you'd like it.

I have to qualify this review by stating two things - 1. I was picking up a too good to go bag and…read more2. it was during the world cup AMBIANCE - this place was PACKED at 11:00pm on a Friday, and it didn't look like it was slowing down by the time I left. It was pretty snug in the place as people were staring at the World Cup games that were being shown in the spot. People didn't seem to mind sitting with strangers, just so they could find a spot to sit down. SERVICE - I went to pick up my order, and the guy told me he'd be back in just a minute. However, looking at the number of orders ahead of me, I knew it was going to be more than just a minute. The guy looked a little overwhelmed, but gathered the order tickets, and arranged them in sequence, and they started knocking them out one after the other. MENU/FOOD - this place had a variety of desserts, coffees and teas. I wish I could tell you all what they were, but I have no clue. Suffice it to say, aesthetically, they looked very pleasing. When I finally got my order, I received a baked sesame stick, that basically tasted like a bagel, just in stick form, and a couple of other small shaped breads. While they looked pretty, there was nothing in them, so that was a little disappointing, but hey, it was a "surprise bag" so beggars can't be choosers. OVERALL - I might come back and give this place a second shot, but it certainly would not be during a super busy time like the world cup. CELEBRITY RATING - Can Yaman
