Yummy cake. Looks nice and tasty. Everyone enjoyed it. I would go back. Just FYI. They are closed Sunday-Tuesday.

I adored Graf's Pastry when I used to work near here, but haven't visited in years. Last year, we placed two custom orders with Graf's - one for my parent's wedding anniversary and another for Christmas. The first was a small hazelnut torte with raspberry filling. The second was a bouche de Noel. Both cakes were moist and delicious - more flavor than sugar, which is what we love. Of the two, I preferred the hazelnut, which was perfectly addictive. But I wouldn't turn down a second slice of either. ;-) If your priority is a delicious cake - which it should be - versus over-the-top decorations, you can't go wrong with Graf's. I remember from years ago, they had an excellent cake with fresh strawberry filling. Perhaps that will be our next cake selection. I think we've found our go-to bakery for future cake needs.

ten out of ten - amazing smells, flavors and smiles. i went here for a vienna cake for a birthday cake - and this bakery did not disappoint. do not sleep on this bakery - they are the real deal, true thing, legit. such love and care and attention to detail is apparently evident when your eyes glide over all of the gorgeous yummies. go here. you will not regret. service with a smile that is genuine.

Most standard American cakes are overly sweet so I unusually seek out cakes from Asian/French bakeries. Graf's specializes in a wide variety of European-style baked goods and their cakes are super light and not overwhelmingly sweet. Their fruit flan and the Vienna cake are my favorites and I have bought them for several occasions.

My family and I have been coming here since I was little. 20 some year later and I'm still going here for their cakes! They're perfect for all types of celebrations. I've never had a bad cake from Graf's. My family loves them because nothing is overly sweet and is perfect! One of my favorites is the Fruit Flan, basically a big fruit tart with custard and a thin layer of yellow cake. I even got my wedding cake made here! Although there was a little mishap, where they got the wrong flavored cake for my bottom tier, it was still loved by all my wedding guests.

Graf's is the best place to go for cakes. They make authentic European-style desserts from scratch every day. What I love about the cakes is that they aren't cloyingly sweet. The frosting is made of whipped cream instead of buttercream, which makes it a lot lighter (only the decorative "flowers" on top are made of buttercream). Over the years, my family and I have tried several different varieties of their cakes, like hazelnut, mocha Kahlua, strawberry, and Black Forest. They are all delicious. We also love getting the fruit flan, which has custard on top of a thin layer of cake and raspberry jam topped with glazed fruit, inside a tart shell. Although the cakes and pastries can be on the pricy side, they're completely worth it, especially for special occasions.

This is my most favorite pastry shop in Metro Detroit. They are located in a small shopping plaza near Orchard Lake Road. They have a variety of cakes. If I have a time to call in, I would definitely order a whole Vienna. Vienna is yellow cake and strawberry mousse with assorted fruits on top. The cake is very fluffy and very good. I also like their fruits tarts. Very fresh fruits and the custard tastes good.

Every . Year ALL I want for my birthday is GRAFS double chocolate cake. That's it! I know the name might sound like it's too chocolatey but it's SO light and so damn good! My all time favorite cake for sure! Give it a try! U won't regret it I added a photo of the cake as well as their torte flavors they have. ENJOY!

We had a lot of compliments on the cake for our daughter's baby shower. Very light, flavorful and delicious.

If you want real German pastries then Graf's is the best. When they make them, the pretzels are the best.

Yes they are overpriced, yes the quality did go down tremendously however me and my family would spend at least $40 almost every weekend during summer time. Since they are next to the Farmers market that we visit. Today's visit we walked in with our starbucks in hand to purchase breakfast and more drinks to sit down and enjoy. Upon entry my daughter was ambushed and yelled at before she could even open her mouth and place her order she is a child if you need to address and speak to anybody you speak to an accompanying adult. The person behind the counter screamed "you can't be inside the store with the outside drink" new store rules, even if you want to place an order. Be aware! They have lost me as a customer and I will purchase my pastries someplace else, where staff doesnt scream at the kids.

It was just a 4 min walk. How could I resist. Walked in and you get the smell. It's great. The bakery case is not huge like in Ann Arbor it's about 1/4th of that. You can smell the fresh made coffees. And there are some places to sit toward the back. It's a long space. Not big. I honed in on the mango pastry and banana pastry. I have seen these on-line and was dying to try them. They basically look like the real fruit but it's pastry with mousse and the fruit on the inside. Other bakeries do this too I think it's like a fun trend. I got both and brought them home to Ohio. My partner and I cut them in half and tried them. They were both good. Each tasted like their respective fruit. I think the mango was slightly better. But I'd get both again. They are light. You'd might not think so but they are. You can eat one and it's not sickening sweet and heavy. The opposite light with a touch of the fruit sweet. Really good! Now I am curious how other bakeries do it too.

I understand employees may be busy, so that wasn't my concern. What bothered me was the customer service that followed. I asked for a small Berries Delight and pointed to the individual desserts on the left. Instead, the young man assisting me went to the cakes on the right and attempted to hand me a small cake. I politely stopped him and explained that I wanted the personal-sized Berries Delight on the left. He responded by saying, "Those are called slices," in a tone that came across as rude and condescending. I then asked if I could have a fresh one from the refrigerator because the one in the display case looked like it had been sitting there for a while. He insisted the display one was fine, but I repeated that I would prefer one from the refrigerator. He reluctantly got one and handed it to me, saying, "There's your fresh Berries Delight," in a sarcastic tone. I visit Sweet Dreams regularly--between this location and the previous one, I stop in about four times a month. I've always enjoyed your desserts, which is why this experience was so surprising. I've never been treated this way before. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because the quality of customer service should match the quality of your products.

It's off-season and I needed a raspberry tart to use for flavor cues for a client's launch of their new Raspberry Tart Wafer protein bar flavor. Due to a food allergy I didn't want to style the tart myself. I contacted a number of local bakeries as well as Plum Market, Whole Foods, Zingermans and more. None could accommodate my specific request. Finally, I came across sweet dreams and they were able to make me a beautiful raspberry tart to use for my images, based on the appearance, I wanted and in a timely manner.
