Been here a few times already but I love coming back with new people to try it. We got the classic cotton cake and the ube cotton cake. The ube is my favorite and the flavor blows me away every time. The cotton cakes are so light and fluffy. We got a cotton candy frappe and a cookies and cream frappe to go with the cotton cakes and those were a bit disappointing. They weren't really blended well and tasted like a melted vanilla ice cream with a hint of the flavor. Not frozen at all. They looked pretty though. Side note to mention that the bathroom door button lock had fallen off and the employee helped me find it and put it back on but they are aware it needs to be fixed. I plan on continuing to come back to this place as the cotton cakes never disappoint
Japanese Cheesecake is so good here. They have regular and ube . You can add topping to them as well. They have coffee and pastries for sale. It's so cute when you walk inside of the restaurant . Ube Japanese Cheesecake is my favorite
I did not like this place. Something about it felt so sterile and weird. My cousin got ice cream and she literally threw most of it away. I got this cheesecake and I was so disappointed after wanting to try it for so long. Not what I imagined at all.
The ube cheesecake was so delicious. Perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness that paired so well with some tea.

This was our first time trying Japanese-style cheesecake, and ohhhh my gosh, it is delicious! I'm a huge ube girly, so I got the ube cheesecake. My husband got the original. The price is extremely fair for the size of the cake, and it is so fluffy, moist, and perfectly sweetened. It is a beautiful shop that also has other pastries available if cheesecake isn't your style. They boxed up our cheesecake super quickly and we were in and out of there in no time. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

I'm not usually a fan of Japanese cheesecakes because I find the texture too spongey, but this cheesecake was a great blend between soft and thick, and the Ube flavor was faint and complimented the cheesecake profile quite well. I didn't taste the crème brûlée in the crème brûlée latte but at least the coffee was good. This is a nice spacious place to chill or study!
Although they didn't offer vegan options I have to say I love the fact they offer gluten-free options. The staff was so kind and friendly. The atmosphere was absolutely divine and beautiful the interior designer did their job immaculately. I love the fact that they have the viral Japanese cheesecake.
Finally stopped by and picked up the medium cheese cake, few key lime pies and toppings for the cheese cake, total came out to $38. The Interior was open, besides the cakes and pies, you can also get coffee. Only few customers there, so we were in and out in few minutes. The cheesecake was excellent, fluffy, moist and very light. If not careful, you can eat the whole thing. The medium was good size to feed between 6 to 10, depending how large the slices are, but if you just want to sample it, medium will be fine. Definitely will be back for more cheese cake. The key lime pie was ok, I prefer more sourness in mine, but definitely worth trying once.
Came for late night dessert with a few friends, and it served its purpose! The cheese cake was tasty but the other 2 were only okay. Baklava at a Japanese dessert spot was interesting! Was actually pretty good. The egg cream cheese thing was not my favorite. Overall, decent spot to catch up with friends. Desserts were hit or miss for me.
Met here for a meet up with a group of about 10. We made our own seating space to fit us all with no issue from the employees. I got the small cotton cake and it was yummy. I didn't add any sauce but others did so I will try that next time. I couldn't eat a whole one by myself so it's good for sharing. Lattes were good and came in a ceramic mug for dining in. Water jug with cups for self service on the side with the plastic ware and napkins. Space was a little loud with the bare vaulted ceilings but not too loud. I saw some people working and a few chatting. Line would come and go but the staff made quick work of getting customers through without much wait.
I have been looking for a place in Michigan that makes Japanese Cheesecake. I just bookmarked this place 2 days ago. I drove by it and stopped in. I'm so happy I did. This place is so cute inside. I got the decorated ones a medium vanilla and a small Ube. They are so delicious. They are light and fluffy. The workers are very friendly and pleasant.

We had a delightful time at this Japanese bakery . The cheesecake with pistachio cream was absolutely delicious. I sipped on a strong macchiato that gave me a nice energy boost, while my partner enjoyed an Americano. The ambiance was lovely, with soft music and attentive service. read more
Would be cool to offer a flight of different cheesecakes from here, so you can try different ones. Nice interior, very gilded, the plasticwares are gold gilded. The to go cups are gold as well. Ordered a cookie butter latte, a build my own small cotton cheesecake with half Nutella and half caramel and some Biscoff topping. $22.25 The small cheesecake looks so fluffy. The decorated cake is $9.50 The cookie butter was $8 It's light and airy. Don't eat the wax paper at the bottom of the cake. The Biscoff gives it a nice bite of crunch. Mixing the Nutella and the Biscoff sauce (didn't end up getting the ordered caramel sauce once it was packed. I actually prefer the toppings more than the cake itself. The cheesecake tastes eggy. Service is good. Glad we tried the fluffy cheesecake. Not sure would be back for the cake. My husband said the butter coffee is average. The green tea is the Rishi, which isn't string at all. read more

I was so excited when I heard of a Japanese cheesecake cafe opened near me. Took awhile but I finally got to try it today. I've only had Japanese cheesecake from Uncle Tetsu in Canada. I've always preferred this more than regular cheesecake. Less sweet, more texture of a cake, soft and fluffy. If I've never had Japanese cheesecake before, this would be pretty good. But it's a bit lacking compared to other Japanese cheesecake that I've had before. A bit too mushy compared to the texture of a nice fluffy cloud that I enjoy. I ordered two small ($6.99 and holy cow was the price... not worth it). To add syrup it's .50... I ordered the strawberry syrup on the side and surprisingly enjoyed it! Would've been a 3.5 rating but bumping it to a 4 because of the syrup. You definitely don't need a lot though but I would recommend trying the syrup with your cheesecake. Without it, was lackluster... If you're looking for something light and not too sweet, in between a normal cake and cheesecake, this is it! Pricey for what you get. read more
This is my second visit and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly and allowed us to alter our drink order. My daughter wanted to try the ube chocolate cottoncake. I was unsure but it was delicious! Such a cute inside. Loved the couches and wall art. IG photo backdrop when you walk in. Our drinks were very HOT which surprisingly isnt common at all cafes and hit the spot on cold snowy night. read more
I'm a big fan of Ube flavored foods. And this was the first time trying cotton cake because I heard that they had Ube flavored Japanese cheesecake. The cake was moist and fluffy, wasn't too sweet, it was pretty good for a Japanese cheesecake, but the flavor didn't really have that authentic Ube taste to it. I've tried other Japanese cheesecakes and this place is good, but not as comparable to the others I've had. The employees were kind and attentive. And the place itself was very cute. They have a different variety of ice creams, pastries and cakes. The cheesecake with Nutella and pistachio was pretty tasty. read more
Food: The cotton cake was fluffy. Not too sweet. Ice cream and pastries were great. Coffee was good, but no dark roast available. They had half and half. Service: Very friendly and accommodating. Ambiance: LOVELY. Spacious. Comfortable. Modern decor. Lots of glass and marble. Love the natural light. They have a private room. Seemed more for visiting with people or people watch, than a space to work or study. The loo was clean and stocked. Overall, good standby for something different. Initially seen them on Instagram and of course I wanted to try them out. It's so cute in there there are tables and a little lounge area. And somethingt that looked like a private room. They have different sizes of cakes and also macarons and other sweets as well. It's about $7 for the small and $2.50 a piece for the macarons. You can also order a sweet sauce to it like strawberry, chocolate, caramel vanilla, etc. I got the choclate and vanilla. The cake is soo soft my fork fell right through it. It's very spongy. It taste like cheesecake but in a cake form. I did try the Nutella macaron and the Oreo one and a bite of the birthday cake. The macarons in general were hard except bathe birthday cake one and the flavors weren't what I expected. I don't think I would get those again but overall the cake was delicious 10/10 Also free water is served read more

I had a really fun time trying something new at Cotton Cake. This stop was a spontaneous detour. We were driving by, saw the sign, and pulled in. So, we don't know what to expect. The inside of the cafe is clean and modern. They serve desserts, coffee, and a specialty Japanese "cheesecake." The cakes they serve aren't anything like typical US cheesecake. They reminded me more of pound cake or angel food cake. I wish I would have gotten a sauce, but the cashier talked me out of it. The photos of the s'mores latte looked irresistible, so you know I had to test it out. Unfortunately, my marshmallows were extremely charred, as with the sugar. I think they went to long with the hand torch. The cafe was a fun and interesting novelty, but I don't think I would make a special trip back to try it again. read more

Wow...I have never heard or eaten Japanese cheesecake!!! It's like cheesecake but much lighter. You can get caramel or chocolate in a little cup to drizzle over it and it's delicious!!!! Very friendly service and a really cute atmosphere. You can sit in and have your cake and very good coffee or take it to go. The coffee selection was great!! I will definitely be back when I'm in Troy!!! read more

My husband & I just stopped her for the first time 2 days ago. I've been seeing the cotton cakes online & have been dying to try them! We were in the area on Wednesday & decided to stop in. The place is super clean & has such a great ambiance that it makes you want to stay & hangout. The girl working the counter was friendly & helpful! We got a few to go for us & a few friends to try. One of my friends is gluten free so I was so excited they had gluten free ones! After we all ate dinner, we brought these out & everyone loved them! There was not a bite left of anyone's lol. They offered a variety of sauces for toppings & we sampled those with the cotton cakes & they all made a great combo no matter which ones you picked! Would absolutely stop here for more cotton cakes but also to try their drinks & other treats! read more

Just okay, customer service wasn't great! I asked a ton of questions and the lady at the register was very matter of fact though, I did notice she was somewhat personable with the couple behind me so may have been a one off thing. Peppermint Matcha was alright nothing to remember and cheesecake was unique. Parking was easy and sitting area was available. Couldn't really see menu and pricing so I had to ask, not sure where this is located inside. read more
