Specialty Churros : S'mores, Arroz Con Leche, Chocolate Hazelnut, Fresas Con Crema, Dulce de Leche, Tiramisu
    Amber C.

We loved trying a selection of churros with a variety of toppings + fillings. The tiramisu ended up being our very favorite (although they were all delicious) and was one of the best desserts we've ever eaten. The server was kind and we appreciated the extra thought put into the presentation (and the paper churro cups were perfect to hold underneath to prevent making a mess when eating). The vibe is bright, warm, and inviting. Can't wait to go back and experience the other items they offer!

The morditas were quite good, hot, with a nice caramel. Just needed a little more of the dipping sauce. Enough to share but I didn't.

My son had an event and I had some time to kill. This looked like an interesting place to try some churros and chill a bit. I ordered at the kiosk. Too many good looking options. A little pricey but I suppose that's the neighborhood and the almost single item oriented menu. In truth they have churros of many varieties gelato, coffee and other items. I had the morditas (mini churros bites really) which came with a choice of sauce. Lots of great options there too. I picked the dulce de leche (caramel). 15 pieces came hot in a cone. They were quite good. Just wish I had a little more caramel to go with. I think would be great for coffee to go with, but I was there on the evening and didn't need that. Next time. Definitely worth a return trip. Nice seating in the back would be great to share with friends for a while. 4.8 rounds to 5. Will return.

This is one of my favorite places! This visit there were a few things that could've been better, but overall we will continue to make the drive to enjoy the delicious churros. The drinks were not that hot when we got them (Spanish hot chocolate and cafe de olla) and the cheesecake bites on top of the seasonal churro were frozen. Other than that the service was fantastic as always and the spot itself is super cute.

Love the atmosphere and cozy seating. Beautifully decorated and I love you can watch them make your churro. I ordered a 6 pack of there traditional. All were some of the best tasting churro I have had. The caramel and custard filled were my favorite.

Their churros are sooo tasty. They were served hot and fresh, perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Paired perfectly with the dips. Interior is also very cute and cozy.

Obsessed with this churrería. Delicious churros with unique toppings. The pistachio raspberry is my favorite. The have gelato, fro yo & churro for desserts. They also offer sandwiches, coffees, teas & more.

Very cute sweet treats cafe - you can order by kiosk or at the cash register and they have a cute menu of regular and specialty churros some small snacks and sandwiches and drinks. I appreciate that they have vegan frozen yogurt and vegan dip for churro! They have a water fountain and small cups for water, and they do serve on plates and silverware is available. I will definitely come back with kiddos because it's such a cute place and I know they'll love the treats!

Saw this place on Instagram when it first opened and I have been wanting to try it. We went at 10pm (an hour before they closed) and they were fairly busy. We were able to put in our orders through a kiosk and did not have to wait long at all. We chose dine in and our churros were brought out within 10 minutes. There was a station near the front that had napkins, spoons, and forks we were able to easily grab for our dessert. When they came out they looked amazing! We got the pistachio raspberry and the gansito (chocolate filling with strawberries and meringue). Both tasted great but we were surprised when we cut into the pistachio raspberry churro it started leaking sweetened condensed milk and it tasted so good with the churro. The inside was decorated very beautifully and filled with historic Mexican art patterns including the chairs. Lots of picture friendly areas and lots of seating available. Even on the outside there's a window that's wide open that you can watch them make the churros. The staff were really nice and explained what each item had on it. We only got the churros this time since we were already stuffed from an earlier dinner but I would love to come back to try their gelato and their affogato!

I came here with a group for an afternoon dessert event. This is definitely a hidden gem. The person who took my order was able to provide excellent recommendations on what she would get if she was there for the 1st time. This is an order at the counter type of place. The churros are so good and there are many different options. The tables are move able and are able to accommodate a larger party. It is such a fun place to go in. There are many more churros that I want try so I will definitely have to go back

Delicious and authentic spot!! This is my go to place to hang out with my friends as they are open later, and have lots of tables to sit and hang. The churros are soo good, and the hot chocolate hits all the nostalgic notes of Mexico. Service is quick, and everyone is so sweet.

Yummo! S'mores on top, strawberry on bottom :)

Love, love, love! A co-worker who lives in Troy recommended the Churreria after she was already a regular at another restaurant close by. My daughter and I checked it out days after her recommendation. SO GOOD! While we haven't tried the gelato yet, the churros are amazing, the decor is so super fun and friendly, and the other items for sale by the register are so tempting (I definitely plan to try and get here alone before the holidays for a few things). Great variety of churros - we'll be able to visit regularly and not have the same thing twice for a while! So glad my co-worker shared the good word :)

Pistachio and Raspberry Churro and Horchata Slush

So when you go in you order from kiosks but everything comes out pretty quick. But if someone isn't technology friendly they could struggle a bit. There are a lot of table and places to sit. I loved the decor. I ordered the pistachio and raspberry churro. The churro was warm and soft in the middle the way a fresh churro should be. I did find it a touch sweet but it was very good still. The Horchata slush was great, creamy, slushy and the hint of cinnamon. Delicious. I will definitely be back to try other items/flavors.

This churros place is directly across the street from my friend's place where I stay when I visit my mom. I have churros places all around the DC area. Some restaurants charge much more for two churros chopped in thirds with a sauce. I decided to go for the traditional churros bundle(5 Churritos and one heart churros $10.50) that came with the dip of your choice. I chose Lecherita. They were very good except I do not recommend reheating them. If you do buy them, you should finish them immediately because the microwave doesn't do anything for them. My friend told me this place was owned by the same lady that owns the Mexican restaurant next door. However, the gal at the counter informed me that she sold the Mexican place and solely owns this place, but offers franchise opportunities. When I'm back in December, I'll be sure to try one of the specialty churros but how will I decide on just one?

The most popular menu item is the CB; a warm cookie skillet loaded with ice cream and toppings. I've tried several cookies, the Reese's milkshake, and the C-T-C CB. All of the cookies are made in-house. I've had red velvet, chocolate chip, cookie monster (M&M), and s'mores. Of those, I preferred the red velvet. The Reese's milkshake was incredibly rich, but delicious. The C-T-C CB was my favorite dessert overall. This features a sugar cookie, cinnamon ice cream, and cinnamon toast crunch cereal. I highly recommend the C-T-C, or a CB in general. Cookieee Boys may be trendy, but the quality of its desserts does not take a backseat. It is on the pricier side, but I'd much rather support a family-owned establishment over a rival chain.

The cookies are clearly frozen. No question. They taste like bulk frozen cookies you'd get from somewhere like GFS, then reheated and dressed up with store-bought toppings (cereal, marshmallow, etc.) to try to mask the lack of quality--but it doesn't work. At the end of the day, you're paying $5 per cookie for what is basically a dressed-up frozen cookie. If that's what you want, just go to Costco and save yourself the drive and the wait. At least Crumbl--while not amazing--makes their dough fresh daily, and you can respect the effort. This just feels lazy and overpriced. Really disappointing that the owners seem to think customers won't notice the difference and created a flashy concept built on laziness.

OK...now that you all know where it's located (corner of Rochester Road/Big Beaver - S/W corner) on to the good stuff. It's a cute little shop, definitely Instagram-worthy. When you walk in, do not walk up to the counter to order, you MUST use the kiosk. Therein lies my gripe. Sometimes, hard to believe, I only want 1, ONE, donut. Here, you can only order 3, 6 or 9. It's not like, I can't eat 3 donuts but diet-wise, maybe I only want one. In any case, there is no flexibility in ordering. Once you complete the kiosk order, they call your name and you go up to the counter to order. There are regular flavors and special flavors. I went for a mix and limited myself to three because since this was my first time, I wanted to the whole experience. I ordered the taro-ube, strawberry shortcake, and tiramisu. If you've never had a mochi donut, they are made from glutinous rice flour so they are chewier then the average cake or yeast donut. These donuts are topped with frosting which gives each donut their unique flavor. They are definitely a 10 on the sugar overload scale. My favorite was the strawberry shortcake because it reminded me of the Good Humor strawberry shortcake ice cream bar I used to eat as a kid. It also gave me the sugar buzz I got as a kid from eating too much sugar. There is also a laundry list of different types of drinks but I was short on time and my AC1 couldn't handle more sugar. I'll have to come back another time just for a drink. If you've never had a mochi donut, I recommend stopping by with a friend and splitting a few.
