The inside has a modern feel to it with bar and nice slots. Their food selection is something I will have to try out and rate on this later.

When you think of wings at most bars, you expect something decent, maybe a little too breaded,…read moremaybe drowning in sauce, good enough with a drink but nothing unforgettable. Glen Flora is not that. These wings genuinely outclass the usual bar standard, and they do it without trying too hard. The first thing that stands out is the crisp. Not a thick, heavy crust, just a light coating that gives you that clean crunch when you bite in. A lot of places overdo it and hide the chicken under batter. Here, the texture actually works with the meat instead of covering it up. And once you get past that crisp exterior, the chicken is seriously juicy. Tender, flavorful, and cooked the way wings are supposed to be. The hot BBQ sauce tastes exactly how good barbecue should: smoky, a little sweet, familiar in the best way. But the heat is what makes it special. It doesn't overpower. It lifts everything. The spice sharpens the sweetness and makes the smokiness pop a little more. It feels balanced, like someone actually thought about the flavor What surprised me most? I was there with a few friends, and normally that's all laughs and conversation. But once those wings hit the table, I caught myself zoning out, focused on what was in front of me. I was in my own little world. And at $1 per wing, it almost feels unfair. I ordered 15... and honestly? I should've ordered more. These aren't just "good for bar wings." They're just good. Crisp, juicy, balanced, and way better than you expect walking in. Rating: 8.7/10

Checked out this local Waukegan sports bar. Glen Flora Tap & Grill is a great place for watching…read moreany games. It has plenty of TVs and good drinks as well as okay food to munch on. For sure it's nothing fancy. There's pretty slow ass service but there's also fun times. Bar had a few people in it but we found seats and got menus. It's got about what you expect with okay prices. There's nothing to eat really that good but it's not bad though. Bar has TVs so usually it's okay watching games awhile. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. The usual stuff like Jameson. It's about $8 for an appetizer. The Pretzel Bites were simple yet still took a long time. Basic things with cheese or mustard. They were slow again getting our bill so it was even more of a wait. Finally they brought it and we could leave. There weren't even many customers in there. Imagine what it's like when it's busy. This isn't the place to go if in a hurry. Has a pretty nondescript location by some auto garages. It's got a pretty basic menu with greasy things including pizza. This is located at the intersection of Glen Flora Avenue and Walnut.

I tried the Parched Pug for the first time today - a very unique and cool restaurant to check out!…read more They have American/Bar Food - burgers, wings etc., in a unique building that appears to be connected to an office building, with a patio with nice views of a pond and tons of pug decor inside the restaurant! I love pugs so this place was definitely on my bucket list. We tried the Turkey Burger and the Atomic Burger - both were pretty good, we tried the regular wedge fries and the sweet potato waffle fries - both also good, but I have to say the sweet potato fries were better than the regular ones. I only subtract one star because of the service - our server was not unfriendly, but he was very slow, didn't check up on us or ask how the food was, did not offer refills on my Coke Zero, and this was on a slower night here. I would come back for the food, decor and environment, there appears to be game nights here as well which sound fun, and self serve beer taps - will have to try both next time. I'd overall recommend if you're in the area and want a good burger/beer/ a cool place to hang out.!

They have endless board games and uniquely themed nights like trivia, chunky blanket making, name that tune, karaoke and Latin Nights and line dancing. The food is tasty and a cut above the usual fare. So delicious and well-made. The self-serve BEER WALL always has something for everyone, including cocktails and wines. The staff is friendly, helpful, and super-puggy... alking around sniffing butts and drooling Come here with a group or just when you have your first date with your soul-mate-super-love-of-your-life and you want to impress her by singing Hungry Like The Wolf by Duran Duran and happily aver after... I came here for an office happy hour and it was my first time hearing about it…read more I was blown away. The private room was perfect for our group. The bartender was kind and quick and took care of us sitting at the high tops when no one was at the bar. I had the Amber Ale and I would definitely recommend. I'm not a fan of the IPAs and I don't like the light beers much, so this ale is on my list as one of the best local beers around! The food that was catered was amazing. Great spinach dip, cheese bites, and the pizza was surprisingly delicious. It's rare that a bar pizza stands out, but I swear by this one. Loved the sausage and pepperoni and had my fair share before leaving. They even gave us take home containers so that I could take more home. All the employees here were kind and helpful. I definitely recommend you host an event here or come for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

A kind of limited amount to choose from but these are well crafted. The prices are okay if a bit higher. Came in and we got a table so we could drink and eat. It's only got beers but you can bring in stuff. There's plenty of places within a fast walk. As for the beers here, the selection is kind of limited. It's about $7 a pint. Best one we got was the Sour Belgian Monkey Strong Ale. It's 9% ABV and certainly strong. For food we went to The Otherdoor. It's about $11 for a few tacos. Also Maevery Public House is next to here. There's lots of close by restaurants and stores. Have a good time with beers and games. It's just beers on the menu but you can still bring in stuff. They're open every weekday and open longer on weekends.

Probably should have ordered something a little darker with a bit more punch (ABV) .... Next time. It was a hot summer afternoon so it wasn't a bad choice. Definitely a summer beer. It's really just a beer place but they had a few lonely bottles of whisky on a shelf behind the bar. Bartender was very nice. Knew their products well. He was nice enough to give me a taste of their beers as well. Will go back. The establishment is located just off Sheridan Road in "downtown" lake bluff. There's plenty of parking and it's a nice little area to walk around.
