Two of us dropped in for lunch. We have been to the Chicago location and liked the food. We ordered the caesar, burnt ends pork belly, and fish and chips. The Salad was a decent size with good dressing shaved parm and a few croutons. The PB was really good. Freshly cooked a most were melt in your mouth they were dusted with a nice spicy seasoning. The sauce was wrong for the dish though. It needed something sweet to balance the spice. The fF&C was generous portion. nice moist fish with a non-crispy batter. The fries were good and plenty. More often than not we dine in, but this particular review is for a carry out order we did for dinner. Three words, birria grilled cheese - it sounds interesting but it was delicious. We had to order it for carry out but it was still just as good getting to us. The consume could've had a bigger kick but honestly still so good either way! We also got a Cesar salad with salmon, and the portions were decent for the price. When I find a product, service or food that is 100% completely worth my dime I tend to stick to it. Called in an order and I really wanted to try the "Dublin smash burger" but was informed no longer offered. The lovely lady that took my call said they have a new burger. It's obvious that the waitress had more tables that she could handle ordering just appetizers and a side salad didn't seem too complex that we'd give the artichoke cards to try all I can say is do not order absolutely horrible. This is your classic let's-go-watch-the-game-at-the-bar type of vibe bar. Wide beer selection, variety of bar food, and tons of TVs. There's also a burger challenge if you're feeling dangerous. For food, we started off with the nachos and pretzel bites. Pretty classic except the pretzel bites were fried and the sauces took you to flavor town. We also split the Derby Burger and the Ribs Basket (with upgraded garlic parm fries of course). The burger was scrumptious! The combo of sweet from the jam, saltiness fattiness of the bacon, and creamy texture of the Brie worked perfectly. My suggestion, go for the burgers when you go - there's tons of options. The garlic parm fries were good, but for me next time, I wouldn't spend the extra $3 for the upgrade. Our server rocked it! The meal was a messy one for sure. When our server saw us licking our fingers, she brought a ton of napkins. So thoughtful! Keep in mind that each Timmys I've been to has a slightly different vibe. After an exciting day over at Six Flags, we needed a place to unwind and grab a bite and Timothy O'Toole's was just the place. We were seated right away and presented with a nice variety of items on the menu, but had our eye on the giant Bavarian pretzel to start with and some drinks. I opted for the Black and Tan variation with Guinness and Modelo, which was amazing. As for our mains, I went with the French Dip, with a side of horseradish sauce, and my daughter went with the fish tacos. She seemed to enjoy hers quite a bit and the French Dip was outstanding, and the addition of the horseradish was a pleasant surprise. Yes, this establishment is a sports bar with TVs placed strategically throughout, but it is listed as being family friendly, which was helpful. Even with some bobbles (they didn't have the giant pretzel, but replaced it with a similar item and took it off our bill), the service was wonderful and accommodating. Came in for dinner tonight and was really disappointed with about everything. The Brussels chips were way over salted and the deviled eggs were warm and the filling was runny. The corned beef on my Ruben was dry, stiff and tasteless. I was also charged $3.50 for soda WATER.... That's always what I order to drink and I've never been charged $3.50 for WATER......... The table was also sticky and didn't appear to have ever been wiped before. The only good thing was our server, she was very kind and attentive. We were seated right away, but sat there for 15 minutes without anyone coming to our table. A couple of tables opened up and others were seated and attended to, but still we saw no one. After this, we got up and left. The waitress was training a new waitress and I thought she did a great job and it made the experience enjoyable with them both. Started with the French onion soup, the broth had a bold taste with lots of flavor, a good balance of onions, and the cheese was nice and golden brown. The Michigan salad had a good balance of each ingredient. The flavors paired great together, and it did not even have a protein choice on the salad. The fish was very crunchy, and lots of meat inside. Very light and flaky, not over cooked. Both the regular fries and truffle fries were delicious. Both very flavorful, crunchy, and not dried out inside. The burger was spicy, with Irish ghost sauce and at first glance I thought it would be franks red sauce that I am not a fan of. Great food, good portions. I had a burger and part of a chicken wrap. Not picky on how cooked my burger is but I told them I wanted it medium but it ended up quite pink on the inside. Regardless, I'd excuse it because it was a massive 1/2 lb burger and it tasted great. The chicken wrap on the other hand I would not recommend. I hardly got any chicken, mostly just the fried batter. Nice pub by Great Wolf Lodge. It is a clean pub with friendly service. We were a party of four and tried their thirty wing platter and the wings were good,even the ghost pepper sauce. A great place to stop after Great America, but don't wait until Great America closes. They get busy. My wife and I enjoyed the Bacon Jam burger thoroughly. One of our favorite burgers anywhere. My daughter also split the Shepherds Pie which was phenomenal, with big hunks of beef. Corned beef sandwich was good. Cheese curds and fried pickles to start fit the bill. And of course the beer was on point. Oh and our cheese curds came with a couple pieces of fish mixed in by mistake.
