In these COVID times there's no inside dining at Lucky China. Tables and chairs have been piled on top of each other to provide floor space for random blue 'Xs' that show customers where to stand for social distancing. A ceiling-to-counter, semi see-through curtain partly divides the public space from the kitchen. A children's plastic bucket with the bottom cut out serves as a pass-through to provide your payment. We have been ordering delivery from Lucky China at least once a month sometimes twice for over a year. Usually the food is really good, hot, and quick delivery. Last night per usual I ordered Orange Chicken, and the orange peels in with sauce had mold on them. What kind of cook either doesn't recognize or doesn't care that half of the orange peels put in the sauce were moldy? They would not be receiving this review if they would have had the courtesy to speak to my husband about this ( he placed the order, and tried to contact them, finally sending a text which was ignored). I hear the restaurants are having a hard time keeping customers, I guess losing our business is no big deal. If you get food from them, check it carefully before eating it. read more

We have been ordering from Lucky China for years and always been happy. Lately when we order for delivery it comes and the order is missing items. I have never complained because they have always been great. On Sunday we ordered for delivery and the driver only had the customer copy of the receipt which was not normal. My husband signed with the total and gave a cash tip. They processed the bill for $10 over what my husband signed for AND our food was awful! Chicken was so bad you couldn't eat it and the Mei Fun had absolutely no flavor. Very disappointed! I will be calling today to get a $10 refund as well for the overcharge to my card. read more

Unbelievable rude service I have ever seen. First of all, I was a regular customer since they opened. Ordered a combo dinner plate without veggies. The lady took the order and acknowledged. Went home and found veggies in my dish. Little disappointing but no big deal, call them and the same lady yelled and argued with me that they did not put broccoli in my dish but however the onions and veggies came with the fried rice!!!! Really? I said no veggies. She refused to re-make the dish and yelled at me some more before she hung up on me! We used to frequent this restaurant any time we were in the mood for Chinese. Unfortunately we've notice the cleanliness go downhill the past few times we went. We questioned the kitchen and hygiene habits after noticing the front area had tables with no veneer, ripped chairs, and a floor that looks like it never gets swept or mopped. While I have had better, and that can be said about everything, I am always pleased with the quality I receive at reasonable prices. Wow, very good food at a reasonable price. I had never tried hot braised chicken before but it was delicious. The tasted pretty similar to general tso's chicken so I'm not sure what the differences are. We had the general tso tofu as well which was just as tasty. Got hot braised pork and white rice. Was really good. I also got wonton soup and really enjoyed it. Had 4 wontons in it and the flavor was just right.the braised pork was juicy and had just the right amount of sauce on it. Today I ordered a shrimp St. Paul sandwich, crab Rangoon, and a whole order of chicken fried rice to go. The sandwich can on a hamburger bun which is very unusual,and the lettuce was soggy. I still ate it Bc I was obviously hungry. Crab Rangoon was decent, but the rice was hard and barley fried. Called them after the first bite to see if it could be replaced and maybe fried longer only to be told it would make the rice harder. Well harder rice is not what I wanted but actual cooked fried rice is what I wanted. I was told to bring it back for a refund. Granted this was my late lunch/ early dinner I brought the rice back a few hours later only to get a nasty attitude from a very rude oriental lady working the counter. .... long story short there are plenty of other Chinese restaurants to choose from in the area with better customer service and actual COOKED rice.
