This is possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. The crab Rangoon were very thick shelled. The hot and sour soup had no flavor, like they forget all the bouillon and seasonings. The Pepper chicken was just pieces of white meant sprinkled with black pepper and raw onions and freshly cut/raw green peppers. It was horrendous. I go to this place about once a year and every year I tell myself it is the last time.....this time I think I have finally had enough. As someone who grew up in Washington, MO, China King is a staple in the community. This the place to order if it's a holiday and everywhere else is closed. For me, the food has always tasted good, but I am also set in my ways. I always gets either Sweet & Sour Chicken (or Shrimp on occasion), General Tso's Chicken or Orange Chicken. I love their shrimp or pork fried rice. I love their egg rolls, crab rangoon and potstickers too. The food is always good in my opinion, and they have a very extensive menu. As for the restaurant itself, I can't speak much to the atmosphere or ambiance. I think it has quite a few places to sit down if you want, but a majority of people will just get carry out or delivery tbh. I've only sat down to eat there a couple of times when I was a kid. As for the service, I've never personally thought any of the employees were rude. I have never gotten anything ordered incorrectly or missing items. The food was never cold or bad quality. It's going to continue to be a go-to for me as long as I'm in Washington. read more

I received my food. i called them and told the problem. The gentleman who I talked to told me it was my fault and just hung up. He could have said, I am sorry but it was ordered wrong the fried rice was greasy and spring rolls cold. Good customer service skills could have resolved this much easier. Don't hang up! Even though it looks like a sit down restaurant it is really just a take out Chinese place. You walk up to the counter, place your order and wait. You can get bottled drinks out of a glass refrigerator you the counter. When ready, the food is packaged in plastic containers and bagged. If you want to eat in just help yourself to one of the many tables. Get your own plastic ware out of the baskets from under the counter by the front door. And when you finish you deposit your trash in the big can on your way out. So what's different about this place? It's the guy in the kitchen working the wok. The food is really good! I ordered the chicken and broccoli. It was a big portion and completely filled the plastic container. The chunks of chicken were perfectly tenderized and the broccoli came out hot and crunchy and delicious as well. The chicken and broccoli were mixed in a tasty brown sauce that enhanced the overall flavor of the dish. A plate of rice was served alongside. I'm not the only one who believes this. During my time in the restaurant, there was a steady stream of customers of all types coming in to make their order or pickup a phone in. The cook definitely wasn't idle. I think that says more good about the food! I want to go back someday. Highly recommended. Just remember you're getting takeout but you can dine in with your order if you like. read more

This is the best Chinese food in this area. They have the best crab rangoons I have ever had. They are extra crispy and very tasty, highly recommended. They don't have everything on the menu that I am used to finding on the east coast such as young chow fried rice, shrimp toast, and few other things. There are no chef's specialties such as Lake Tung Ting Shrimp or Seven Stars Around The Moon either. The service is fast. It's a clean typical Chinese takeout atmosphere. By far the best Chinese Food around with their consistency for quality & flavorful food served quickly. Some chains are now building in the Franklin County, MO area & I won't even try them since I won't get the same quality food there. When I eat here I know it won't make me feel funny either like other ethnic places who use MSG's in their food. read more

I called in a order today for myself and my 3 cousins as they have delivery(Praise the Lord),the guy who answered the phone was VERY rude and wasn't friendly at all. He kept trying to hang up on me while I was trying to place my order still. He said my order back to me and forgot 3 of the things I had said*due to him trying to hang up on me more than once*. Also the guy who delivered my food phone number was based in New York and most people don't answer phone calls outta state,yet alone from New York. The food was hot and seemed fresh. Super duper waste of money. We ordered two main courses, crab Rangoon, egg rolls, and fried dumplings. The dumplings had 90% dough which was thick and chewy, not good. The crab rangoon was fried dough and cream cheese with no flavor. The worst was the beef and broccoli. It tasted like a dirty pan with burnt oil. Very very disappointed. I ate here for years before moving out of the area. I love their crab Rangoon. All the food I ordered was already cooked properly, not burned or under cooked. Lots of flavor and an awesome 'bang for your buck' If you're in the area, give it a shot. I went there to pick up an order my husband called in. They tried to give me someone else., order even after I repeated my phone number 3 or 4 times. I got charged the $76.00 for the other order. Luckily the person it was for showed up. Instead of refunding the charge to my card he gave me cash for the difference. My order was not ready & I had to wait another 20 min. To get the order my husband called in. Is there another good sushi place in town. This place is good but when you call an order in it should be ready when you drive over to get it. Yeah, this place is amazing. The crab rangoon are out of this world. Everything is always HOT and will stay HOT for a surprisingly long time. They have NEVER gotten my food wrong in all the years I've been going.
