We took our dog to Love My Doggy Day Care, for a hair cut. He had a coat of flowing, wavy red hair…read moreof about three inches in length. We requested that they clean up the hair around his face, which had become overgrown and trim no more than a half inch from the rest of his hair. We showed them a photo of a similar dog to let them know what our goal was. In accordance with instructions from our veterinarian, we also told them not to pluck hair from his ears. When we picked him up he was unrecognizable. Instead of cutting only a half inch, they shaved all the hair on his body to half an inch. And, oh yes, they plucked his ears. We gave our instructions and showed the photo to the Grooming Salon Manager. Whether she failed to understand our instructions or failed to accurately communicate them, we can't tell. Perhaps she thought the picture we showed her was intended to illustrate what we didn't want him to look like. Regardless, we won't be back and suggest that others exercise caution before taking their dog there for grooming.

Got home and got a phone call from the daughter/niece. Stating that the colors are specified for my dog to have they were out of stock. Wait, wasn't I already on the phone for the last past two weeks getting colors situated with the owner/your mother? It's a whole back-and-forth thing that day. I just end up telling them cut my dogs here and I will be there to pick them up immediately. The third time I come here on with the Hicken Avenue there's a white lady who's cutting hair with purple hair I dropped my dogs off. Go to get my haircut with my son within 45 minutes. I'm getting a phone call saying both of my dogs are ready. I go pick up my dogs. My dog's nails were not clipped in my poodle's hair in the back on his butt was not cut. I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for them to clip Nails and cut the back of his butt mind you I was in an Uber so I had to cancel my Uber and re-order another one I still paid over $245 that day For Grooming Today I dropped my dogs off. Give them a call back and let them know the type of haircut I want on both of my dogs. I get all the way home 30 minutes away get a phone call from the daughter/niece again asking what type of haircut do I want for my dogs? I explain to her the type of cut and also told her about my past experiences. She told me the price that it would be for my dogs. I said oh wow I'm paying another 200 and something dollars again the attitude started well. You don't have to pay that price if you don't want to blah blah blah blah blah blah Blah. I agreed to pay the 200 and something dollars we hang up 10 minutes later I'll get a call back now. They don't want to do the haircut like wait what So I'm not allowed to say oh wow I'm being charged 200 and something dollars again like really or I'm not allowed to ask when I'm being charged for make it make sense Like I know, I don't have to pay that price, but I don't want to. I can gladly take my dogs to anywhere else but again I'm here supporting. But like most BLACK BUSINESSES, IT'S ALWAYS ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE ATTITUDE MIND YOU THEY WANT YOU TO PAY SALON PRICES, BUT THEY'RE WORKING OUT OF A BASEMENT MAKE IT MAKE SENSE NO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. The Puppy Butler came through and eased our fears of leaving our pup, Brody, in someone else's care when we were out of town. They are professional, respectful, kind, and clearly have a compassion for animals. Their price is also great after doing some of the others I was considering sending Brody. They sent us enjoyable pictures and videos of our dog, daily, making it easier for us to relax while on vacation. Brody was happy and worn out from being able to run in The Puppy Butler's big backyard for days by the time we picked him up. Yes - leaving an animal behind while away can be hard. But I highly, highly recommend The Puppy Butler if you're in need. We'll definitely be using them again.

I have been there for numerous (far too numerous, in my opinion) staffing and managerial changes ( at current count, 9 managers, and my current dogs have been there for 9.5 years). While I understand that people come and go, if this kind of turnover happened in a Pre-school or daycare situation, parents would be raising the roof. The loss of the current manager and her predecessor, so close together (within 2 seeks of each other) is setting alarm bells ringing. They were wonderful. The dogs were well cared for, they had ample play time, group play was longer than just a couple hours, the center was immaculate, and the staff was there long enough to learn names and faces. Now the management has changed yet again, trusted people are gone and staff is low, which means dogs will not get the exercise or care they need. Transparency is all but gone. Needless to say, this makes me very sad, and we will not be going back.

I recently adopted a 9-month old dog and wanted to jump into training right away. I retained…read moresomeone who lived very close to me and had great reviews, but after a few sessions I realized our schedules were not compatible; I was not getting consistency and reliability from her. It's important for me to make progress with my dog, so I Googled alternate options and stumbled upon Alex's page. I called him on a Friday and he picked up the phone right away. We spoke for a while about my needs and he came out the following Tuesday for what was supposed to be a 2-hour visit. I fell in love with him immediately, he is not only so personable and likable on his own, but he really takes the time to LISTEN to what you need and work on those things right away. I had mentioned my priorities to my previous trainer, but I found that she was teaching my dog commands that didn't actually accomplish what I was after. In our first meeting, Alex worked on SO MANY of my priorities. He got my dog to go into her crate on command, taught her to "stay," showed me how to "walk with" my dog better on her leash, and (using a 30' leash outdoors) started working on recall with her. We were so immersed in what was going on that Alex started to go a little bit over our time, but he didn't want to stop because we were making such great progress. I told him if he wanted to give me a third hour right then and there that I was prepared to pay for it, and he did!! I learned a lot of things from Alex myself during our first meeting, like how to employ the use of "deltas" (which my old trainer never once mentioned) and how non-verbal cues are arguably more important than verbal ones. Again, my old trainer actually discouraged me from using hand motions, but once incorporating them into my routine I noticed that my dog was much more compliant than she had been. Another positive difference between my old trainer and Alex is he really takes the time to teach you why he's doing what he's doing, and encourages you to participate. My old trainer just taught my dog a command and had me replicate/practice when she left. Alex really makes you feel like you are a part of the teaching process. After our private session Alex recommended some "Small Group Therapy" for my pup. He came at noon on a Thursday to pick up my dog and she proceeded to go on a several-hour outing with his two chihuahuas and a dog he was fostering. The entire time he was out with her he was recording and sharing videos on an iCloud album. It was INCREDIBLE to not only see everything that was happening, but to hear him narrate why he was doing the things he was doing. I could not get enough of his videos and felt like I was there during the session. On top of Alex's excellent communication, punctuality, reliability, friendliness, competency, and effectiveness, his rates are OUTRAGEOUS in the BEST way! I truly believe he is under-charging for his services. I can get three hours with Alex for less than I paid for one hour with my prior trainer, and I feel much better about the work that is done during that timeframe. I adore Alex, and most importantly, what he is doing works. He really gets into the mind of your dog, and has such a wonderful way of connecting with them and their needs. I am elated to keep our work going - my pup has lots more Small Group Therapy outings in her future and it's wonderful that I have the option to use him one-on-one to teach her even more commands in the house. One day I hope to move on from essential commands to more fun ones, like "roll over" or "go get X toy."

I was able to locate that same toy at this shop. The price was very reasonable! The order arrived sooner than expected. A staff member reached out to me to tell me of a delay in the shipping, but the item ended up arriving when expected. My cat is very happy with his replacement toy. I will be ordering from this shop again in the future. A nice touch to the item, was that it let me know who packaged the item, which to me, showed that it was packaged with care.
