8 Chicken Xiao Long Bao and Shrimp Fried Rice.

I was told about this spot from a friend who works nearby. I was returning home from an appointment and since I was passing the area decided to try it. I was greeted by a very warm and pleasant young lady. Sharing I had never been there before, I asked what was the most popular entree's on the menu. She asked one of the chefs I presume. He mentioned a few items and I asked him to point them out on the menu since I didn't really understand what he was saying. I ended up trying the Wonton noodle soup, the Chicken Xiao Long Bao (dumplings ) and a shrimp fried rice. Shrimp fried rice is a staple to me and it was tasty as expected. But I also enjoyed the dumplings. Although they appeared to look dry, when you bit into them, you were rewarded with chicken and a juicy broth. I also enjoyed the noodles and vegetables in the wonton soup more than the wontons. I ordered mine to go and was told it would be about 15 minutes because they had just opened. The sweet young lady that greeted me, brought me a glass of water.

We got skip and they are not comunitive . I would not come to eat here again . They act like robots

We ate here a couple weeks ago, I got so busy before posting and I read really good reviews that I said they didn't need my review. They deserve to be praised. Real authentic good food, I was tempted to keep coming back to find out what else is good here, it seems everything in the menu is good. I so love this place. Great service, one thing people always come back for, service, not just food. Comfortably compact seating. Definitely my go-to dumpling place.

Friendly family owned staff. Inside is nicely arranged. I love the cute designs on their chopstick holders or sauces. Solid food that was very reasonably priced. Wonton noodle soup: really enjoyed the broth which was very flavorful. Tasty chicken and shrimp pieces. Lots of celery which I'm not a huge fan of but didn't mind it here Pork XLB: solid, tasty, nice and soupy, amazingly priced Black gold molten lava buns: runny egg custard filling, aesthetically looks cool, I think overpriced relative to other items (and able to get elsewhere for probably cheaper) but still enjoyable Beef potstickers: my least favorite just because I felt they weren't as crispy as I wanted. I'll definitely come back in the future. Service was great. Foods solid and for a great price. I want to try the pan fried pork buns in the future but it takes 25 min so plan ahead if you're interested. Always enjoy supporting locally owned restaurants! Service: 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 5.5

Hidden gem truly, this place seriously had the best beef onion dumplings. it was so juicy and full of soup flavor. I've never had dumplings these good in my life. The xiao long baos were equally as good and had so much soup in it. The meat in both were so juicy and yummy. I couldn't believe it. Also the honey walnut shrimp were crispy and truly so flaky and buttery. It was so much better than anything I've had a panda express. The service was super good as well. They asked us multiple times if the food was good and gave us suggestions. The ambience is nice and it is super clean. They cleaned the tables right away and are kind.

First time here since they replaced Dumpling Village We ordered the XLB and spicy braised beef noodle soup. The XLB were so soupy and my mom really liked it. The noodle soup was bland, the beef was not tender and we didn't like their noodles. Prices were not too bad and the food was fresh. There was only 1 server but he was very quick and efficient

We came in craving jiajiang mian and left so happy with everything we ordered! The pork xiao long bao were perfectly cooked -- and you can see a woman in the kitchen making them fresh. It instantly reminded me of watching my mom make them when I was little. The sautéed green beans were super fresh with great flavor. The beef roll is one of my favorites -- so good. Fried rice was solid and satisfying. And the jiajiang mian? Loved that they add cucumber -- it gives it that refreshing crunch, just like my mom used to make. We love supporting small businesses, and this one definitely did not disappoint. We'll absolutely be back!

I really wanted to like this place based on all the really good reviews and the packed dining room as I entered, but my to-go order just didn't fit my expectations. I placed a to-go order online and arrived in 20 minutes as stated when it would be ready. I did like that the prices are reasonable and they are not price gouging you like some other unmentioned restaurants in RC. At the counter, the very nice female cashier took my payment and packaged my order with the sauces, napkins, and utensils. One thing I did notice on walking into the restaurant was that it was very stuffy and hot, so not sure if their a/c was working, but it was very uncomfortable. I didn't want to delay my enjoyment of these 3 dishes that I ordered, so I stopped in a parking lot to taste the food while it was still fresh. Orange Chicken: I read so many reviews on how this was the most amazing orange chicken, but this was the least liked dish that I ordered. First of all, it was nicely packaged in a plastic to-go container, but it didn't have any way for the steam to escape, so what I received after a 5 minute drive from the restaurant was a soggy, lumpy mess of battered chicken. The chicken is made with the white/breast meat so it's very dry and the batter may have been good when first cooked, but by this time it was very soggy. The orange sauce was practically nonexistent at this point due to the batter steaming inside the container and soaking up all the sauce. I ate two bites and was done. I probably could have managed to eat it but the chicken was so dry. I'm sure it's much better when eaten in person. Green Beans: I really liked the green beans. I asked to add garlic since the menu description didn't specify if there was any, but they must have understood it as asking for extra garlic cuz there was a lot, but I was not mad about it. I love garlic. The green beans were slightly crunchy, maybe not as much as I would have liked but they were flavorful and delicious and I could eat them all day long. Vegetable Chow Mein: The chow mein was also really good. I wasn't expecting the Pad Thai/linguini shaped noodles, but there's something about them that just works better, in my opinion, than spaghetti noodles. There were a few vegetables, not as many as I would have liked as this was a vegetarian dish without meat. There were some broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and water chestnuts. The sauce was flavorful and the noodles were covered in sauce, no dry noodles here. I will update my review soon, because I think maybe ordering to-go is not the best way for this type of restaurant. Everything is made fresh and to order and is best consumed on premises. My next visit I will be dining in to experience what others have joyously experienced and update my review then.

we came back the in a week... as soon as the kids asked for dumplings. Today I tried the spicy beef noodle soup and the fried pork bao. And we had the usual must haves. Everything was really good... again. I've been to so many dumpling places around, like dumpling master, but this one beats it with the flavor, service and pricing. They just opened a couple of months ago. My family and I went there after reading some reviews. The food was excellent and the dumplings appear to all be hand made, which was a nice surprise. I would say the soup dumplings are just a little bit below Seven Gram but the flavor and price point was good. Their pan fried pork dumplings were very good (6 per order - menu says 4). Great homey Chinese food. Interior of the restaurant looks like the typical Chinese mom-and-pop restaurant so I knew the food was gonna taste authentic. Glad that my expectations were not disappointed. Ordered chicken fried rice, spicy beef noodle soup, pork xiaolongbao, and a beef roll. The fried rice looked plain and simple, but in my opinion the best fried rice is cooked with the basic and simple ingredients, came out smelling super appetizing too. Bonus points for it including a fair portion of chicken. Came out on a decent sized plate and tasted great. Spicy beef noodle soup was actually so fire. Soup had a great depth of flavor and the noodles were super chewy which I enjoyed. My spice tolerance is GARBAGE but I was able to enjoy some of this still, so don't be afraid to order this if you also have a low spice tolerance. Pork XLB arrived in a metal steamer and were juicy and had a flavorful soup filling. Delicious. Beef roll came in four pieces, two rolls, each cut in half. Dish was savory and the beef was tender with a bit of fat, cilantro, and crunchy cucumbers. The outside was nicely pan fried. Overall, food is good and reminds me of authentic home-cooked meals by my parents and grandma, portions are great, staff is super friendly and attentive. The place offers great food at an excellent price for portion. Shoutout the guy at the register at the time, he was super polite. 5/5 all around. read more

Food was very delicious and filling and price point was very fair. We even got a 10% discount with their promotional discount right now. We got the braised beef noodle soup, pork soup dumplings, pan fried pork buns (it's the small kind with soup in it), chives and egg pocket, and wontons in spicy chili oil. I really enjoyed the noodle soup especially in this rainy weather. The soup dumplings had plenty of juice and the dumpling wrapper was not too thick which was very nice. The pan fried pork buns was nice and crispy at the bottom and was juicy inside. Chives and egg pockets are a classic and if you like a good spice, the wontons in spicy chili oil were spicy. If you don't eat spicy though, I suggest asking them to make it less spicy if they can because it was a little bit too spicy for me. Overall, I am looking forward to coming back to try everything else! read more

My first time here and my experience at Lucky Dumpling exceeded my expectations! The service was wonderful, very attentive servers. The servers made sure to refill my drink before it hit empty, they were able to give us delicious recommendations on the food! We ended up getting the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, Pork Xiao Long Bao, Wonton in Spicy Chili Sauce, and the Jing Dong Pork Meat Pie. My personal favorite was the Jing Dong Pork Meat Pie, if you visit the Lucky Dumpling, definitely try the pork meat pie! The restaurants atmosphere was very hospitable, I felt very welcomed and comfortable! We will definitely visit again! read more

This place is amazing! Everything came out super yummy. It is impossible to find a decent AUTHENTIC chinese restaurant in Rancho so I'm so glad these guys are here. Everything is nice and flavorful without being too salty or tasting too much like western/american style chinese food. So good!! They hand make their noodles for their beef noodle soup and it is just delicious. Egg flower soup and tomato & egg stir fry are my personal favorites. All their dumplings and pan fried dishes are also so amazing. Will definitely be coming back read more

My wife and I have been to a few dumpling restaurants including the over hyped din tai fung and this place is the best we have had. Everything is fresh and full of flavor, we tried about 10 different things in our 2 trips there and it was all amazing. This food is so delicious here the service is absolutely incredible. My daughter and I decided to try something new and coming to this restaurant was not a disappointment. Everything tasted authentic and made with love absolutely amazing. I will definitely be coming back my daughter and I both agree that this is a new favorite worth a 45 minute drive. read more

The standout dish was definitely the chicken fried rice -- hands down the best I've ever had. We did have to wait quite a while, and the AC was down today, so it was a bit warm inside. This is one of those hidden gem spots that honestly compares to Din Tai Fung in quality, but without the crazy prices or month long waitlist. This place is the real deal. That's decorum. Service is welcoming and friendly, and efficient in the safest way possible with the scorching hot plates. Seating can get limited due to the nature of the meal, but I've never had an issues the times I chose to eat here. Ambiance can be relaxed and chill when the Haven City Market isn't busy, but during weekends or rush hour, it can get a bit hectic and there may be a bit of a wait. A staple that you can never go wrong with is the hot plate beef and if you're a carnivore or if you're sharing, you have to upsize and upgrade it. The slices of beef here are just slightly thicker than what I'm used to at Pepper Lunch, but that just means it'll shrink less and get less stuck on the hot plate as well. You get a hearty serving of rice with some corn on top, pepper, and green onions. Like other sizzling plate places, you can always get pasta or udon instead of rice, if you're feeling a bit more adventurous. Super hot, filling meal that's easy to eat. Not the most flavorful sometimes, at least with what I order, and in comparison to other competitors, but hits the spot when need be.

The posters on the wall only show images of the food. Sneakily, they only list price tags for the small, cheap side items--the actual price for the House Special is completely missing from the posters. You don't find out the real cost until the transaction is complete and it's already too late. The real kicker is that my card statement showed the charge under "DoorDash." They are running their walk-up register through a DoorDash POS system and forcing in-person customers to pay inflated app-delivery prices without warning. They need to put a tag on the register letting people know. If they were transparent, I could have placed a pickup order through my own DoorDash account to use a discount, or just ordered their $6.25 mini bowls separately to save nearly $9. Don't get me wrong, the Taiwanese sausage is actually good, but the popcorn chicken is way too dry and the rice is not good at all. To make matters worse, I paid $21 just to get half an egg! Most places give you a whole egg, and other restaurants would even provide a free drink with a combo at this price point. Getting a half-egg and no drink for a premium price is ridiculous.
