8 Chicken Xiao Long Bao and Shrimp Fried Rice.
    Lorrie D.

I was told about this spot from a friend who works nearby. I was returning home from an appointment and since I was passing the area decided to try it. I was greeted by a very warm and pleasant young lady. Sharing I had never been there before, I asked what was the most popular entree's on the menu. She asked one of the chefs I presume. He mentioned a few items and I asked him to point them out on the menu since I didn't really understand what he was saying. I ended up trying the Wonton noodle soup, the Chicken Xiao Long Bao (dumplings ) and a shrimp fried rice. Shrimp fried rice is a staple to me and it was tasty as expected. But I also enjoyed the dumplings. Although they appeared to look dry, when you bit into them, you were rewarded with chicken and a juicy broth. I also enjoyed the noodles and vegetables in the wonton soup more than the wontons. I ordered mine to go and was told it would be about 15 minutes because they had just opened. The sweet young lady that greeted me, brought me a glass of water.

    Bad service

We got skip and they are not comunitive . I would not come to eat here again . They act like robots

Pork steamed dumplings. sorry we forgot to take a photo of the Xiao Long Bao, it was so delicious we finished it fast.

We ate here a couple weeks ago, I got so busy before posting and I read really good reviews that I said they didn't need my review. They deserve to be praised. Real authentic good food, I was tempted to keep coming back to find out what else is good here, it seems everything in the menu is good. I so love this place. Great service, one thing people always come back for, service, not just food. Comfortably compact seating. Definitely my go-to dumpling place.

Friendly family owned staff. Inside is nicely arranged. I love the cute designs on their chopstick holders or sauces. Solid food that was very reasonably priced. Wonton noodle soup: really enjoyed the broth which was very flavorful. Tasty chicken and shrimp pieces. Lots of celery which I'm not a huge fan of but didn't mind it here Pork XLB: solid, tasty, nice and soupy, amazingly priced Black gold molten lava buns: runny egg custard filling, aesthetically looks cool, I think overpriced relative to other items (and able to get elsewhere for probably cheaper) but still enjoyable Beef potstickers: my least favorite just because I felt they weren't as crispy as I wanted. I'll definitely come back in the future. Service was great. Foods solid and for a great price. I want to try the pan fried pork buns in the future but it takes 25 min so plan ahead if you're interested. Always enjoy supporting locally owned restaurants! Service: 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 5.5

Hidden gem truly, this place seriously had the best beef onion dumplings. it was so juicy and full of soup flavor. I've never had dumplings these good in my life. The xiao long baos were equally as good and had so much soup in it. The meat in both were so juicy and yummy. I couldn't believe it. Also the honey walnut shrimp were crispy and truly so flaky and buttery. It was so much better than anything I've had a panda express. The service was super good as well. They asked us multiple times if the food was good and gave us suggestions. The ambience is nice and it is super clean. They cleaned the tables right away and are kind.

First time here since they replaced Dumpling Village We ordered the XLB and spicy braised beef noodle soup. The XLB were so soupy and my mom really liked it. The noodle soup was bland, the beef was not tender and we didn't like their noodles. Prices were not too bad and the food was fresh. There was only 1 server but he was very quick and efficient

We came in craving jiajiang mian and left so happy with everything we ordered! The pork xiao long bao were perfectly cooked -- and you can see a woman in the kitchen making them fresh. It instantly reminded me of watching my mom make them when I was little. The sautéed green beans were super fresh with great flavor. The beef roll is one of my favorites -- so good. Fried rice was solid and satisfying. And the jiajiang mian? Loved that they add cucumber -- it gives it that refreshing crunch, just like my mom used to make. We love supporting small businesses, and this one definitely did not disappoint. We'll absolutely be back!

I really wanted to like this place based on all the really good reviews and the packed dining room as I entered, but my to-go order just didn't fit my expectations. I placed a to-go order online and arrived in 20 minutes as stated when it would be ready. I did like that the prices are reasonable and they are not price gouging you like some other unmentioned restaurants in RC. At the counter, the very nice female cashier took my payment and packaged my order with the sauces, napkins, and utensils. One thing I did notice on walking into the restaurant was that it was very stuffy and hot, so not sure if their a/c was working, but it was very uncomfortable. I didn't want to delay my enjoyment of these 3 dishes that I ordered, so I stopped in a parking lot to taste the food while it was still fresh. Orange Chicken: I read so many reviews on how this was the most amazing orange chicken, but this was the least liked dish that I ordered. First of all, it was nicely packaged in a plastic to-go container, but it didn't have any way for the steam to escape, so what I received after a 5 minute drive from the restaurant was a soggy, lumpy mess of battered chicken. The chicken is made with the white/breast meat so it's very dry and the batter may have been good when first cooked, but by this time it was very soggy. The orange sauce was practically nonexistent at this point due to the batter steaming inside the container and soaking up all the sauce. I ate two bites and was done. I probably could have managed to eat it but the chicken was so dry. I'm sure it's much better when eaten in person. Green Beans: I really liked the green beans. I asked to add garlic since the menu description didn't specify if there was any, but they must have understood it as asking for extra garlic cuz there was a lot, but I was not mad about it. I love garlic. The green beans were slightly crunchy, maybe not as much as I would have liked but they were flavorful and delicious and I could eat them all day long. Vegetable Chow Mein: The chow mein was also really good. I wasn't expecting the Pad Thai/linguini shaped noodles, but there's something about them that just works better, in my opinion, than spaghetti noodles. There were a few vegetables, not as many as I would have liked as this was a vegetarian dish without meat. There were some broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and water chestnuts. The sauce was flavorful and the noodles were covered in sauce, no dry noodles here. I will update my review soon, because I think maybe ordering to-go is not the best way for this type of restaurant. Everything is made fresh and to order and is best consumed on premises. My next visit I will be dining in to experience what others have joyously experienced and update my review then.

we came back the in a week... as soon as the kids asked for dumplings. Today I tried the spicy beef noodle soup and the fried pork bao. And we had the usual must haves. Everything was really good... again. I've been to so many dumpling places around, like dumpling master, but this one beats it with the flavor, service and pricing. I made sure I took pictures this time. Enjoy it!

I've never had an issue with the wait or the service. Everything is tip notch and I just absolutely love this restaurant. Today I ordered, the green beans and it's simply the best I've ever had. Just the right amount of salt and garlic, and what a crunch. The hot and sour soup, authentic and better than Chinatown. It's salty, spicy, vinegary, bamboo shoots was crushy too. The roasted duck was spectacular, crunchy skin and flavorful meat. Perfect seasoning. The orange chicken is a must. Crunchy and so so tasty. Every chicken pieces were crunchy and no bad pieces in this batch. This is not your panda Express orange chicken or Panda Inn, this is your Mr Chows Beverly hills orange chicken. The quality is un-matched. I don't know what these noodles are but they are crunch and delicious. I am so satisfied, and I also love the prices too, very good for this quality. Chicken dumplings had a good filling to wrapper ratio, but the filling needed way more seasoning. It just tasted like wet, mushy stuff inside, and drowning the dumpling in chili oil barely helped. And the two fried dishes weren't flavorful either--they weren't dredged very well, so they just tasted like oil. This was especially disappointing for the scallion pancake, since it looked nice...but didn't taste of scallions at all. Overall, really disappointing. I might give it a try at a different location if the opportunity comes up, but with the menu being rather small, I'm not even sure it'd be worth the time.

This place can probably fit 40 people, it's so small. We tried a few items such as their beef roll, wonton with chili sauce, their seven grams xlb, , fried mini buns, noodle with scallion oil sauce, and potato string shrimp. Their seven grams xlb was disappointing, the broth and meat inside didn't have any flavor to it IMO. The mini buns were sweet and heavy, and we split one and didn't touch the rest. The noodle with scallion sauce was just okay...again, not much flavor. I didn't like the potato shrimp at all, too doughy and hard. The beef rolls were just okay to me, again kinda bland without dumping it in shoyu and vinegar). The best dish was their spicy wontons. It had a nice kick to it and we saved the sauce to dump everything else we ate in it lol.

It just has soy, soy mixed sauce, chili oil, and black vinegar. I ordered the Wide Hand Pulled Noodles, Green and Onion Pot Stickers, and the Beef Rolls. Wide Hand Pulled noodles were ok. Honestly not much to brag about. I thought the noodles were cooked well but the flavor didn't really stand out to me. I believe it's served with chili oil, a mound of minced garlic and some vegetables. Outside of those ingredients I thought it needed more flavor or substance. The beef rolls were ok to me as well. I liked how crispy the roll was and size. Good portions of sliced beef served with cilantro. It was refreshing but the meat was generally cold with some warmness provided by the roll. But that quickly faded. Would prefer it to be warmer. The highlight was the pot stickers. Beef and onion were good. Really enjoyed the presentation of the dish. The edges of the pot sticker were really thick. Almost chip like. I enjoyed it as much as the dish itself. Would get it again. Overall I thought the food was ok. I'm sure there are better highlight dishes than what I ordered but they weren't selected this go around. Also the prices are a little higher than most dumpling spots so I just expected more.

Food-wise, it was good, but the refill timing was inconsistent. A few items like meat and fruit ran out faster than expected, and we had to wait a while, sometimes close to 30 minutes for refills to come back out. Service was okay overall, just a bit slow during peak rush. Still, for the price point and AYCE format, it's a good deal. I'd come back, just with lower expectations on speed and pacing. 4 stars mainly for value.

Lowlights: they don't offer bbq - just hot pot. They only have 2 levels - $20 or $45. The basic meat is self-serve, but the premium meats came out all at once. There's a penalty for food waste. We got the premium option for hot pot dinner, all the meats came out at once already portioned for our group of 4. As nice as it is to not have to wait, it doesnt take into account that we would've wanted to pick and choose what to order and maybe abstained from some options to get refills of the options we did like. When the meats all come out at once, it's hard to know which is which. The only obvious distinguished proteins were the seafood, which is presented really nicely. The veggies/noodles/sauce bar weeds well stocked and had the typical toppings you want for your soup. For dinner, the restaurant seemed lean staffed, which was fine since it wasn't busy and we got seated in an obvious spot.

Came in a few days ago and I must say we just found our new spot in Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga area…read more Green beans, dry bean curd with chives, mapo tofu, chili chicken cube, everything was phenomenal. Absolutely coming back every other week. Super nice lady. Chef killed it.

Ordered Spicy Szechuan Crispy Chilli Chicken Mixed Beef…read moreSlices in hot Sauce Local Hunan Flavored Lamb And Szechuan Cold Noodles I always thought this place in the past was an offshoot of the Red Chilli Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga / Upland by the 99 Ranch Supermarket, but I guess it deviates way far from both the Red Chilli Restaurants in Redlands and Upland from 8-15 years ago. I cant justify any of these dishes making me want to consume bowls upon bowls of rice. That's what spicy Szechuan and Hunan food is supposed to do....it should make you awaken your taste buds, with the power of their chilli peppers, Szechuan green & red peppercorns, and the umamis derived from MSG. Nope, I didn't crave the Lazi Chicken...nor the Hot Oil Beef Mix... Not the Cold Noodles, and I left with a $122 receipt in hand for 2 more takeout items on top of the 4 main dishes I've shared.....and I felt pretty empty. Empty in a sense, I could DO BETTER at home mixing my own Szechuan Cold Noodles, with Home Made Chili Oil, Sesame Paste, Sugar. Chicken Bullion, Minced Garlic, Vinegar, and Cilantro. I almost felt robbed here.....either every dish was lacking peppercorns and numbness, or it was missing Umami, Alot of it...so I leave anyone who wants to challenge my opinion otherwise and prove me wrong that the food here indeed belongs in a long list of top notch Szechuan Hunan Restaurants in Los Angeles. Even if this place opened up in Phoenix, I'm sorry, it's going to rank in the lower end of the bell curve. It was a hot day. I felt the service lady doesn't know how to tell "Customers Need Ice Water" and I had to vocally tell her ice and water please. I don't know, been a long week, haven't gone home for 10 days and just been bouncing on and off my rig all across the US....I just wanted some food I could really enjoy today, and Chili Bistro failed to deliver.
