S-4 Dearest Crab Dinner (2)
Francis D.

I have been to this place several times for years but never got to review it. My family wanted Thai food so we went to this place. We ordered the Thai fried rice, dearest crab meal, and the chicken pad Thai. My two favorites were the dearest crab and the Thai fried rice. The rice was seasoned well although a little greasy. Big pieces of chicken made this a meal. The dearest crab was delightful with the 2 generous crispy fried ball. It didn't come with a sauce but I asked for the sweet chili and some of the bbq sauce they use for the spare ribs and that competence the dish well. Price wise, it is at par with other places close by. Service was quick and friendly. The place itself might need a little updating since it's a little dated but the food is worth it.

Service was great! We went on a weekend night, the food were served about 15 mins after ordered. Parking was not a problem for us as there're too many stores in the plaza. Pad Thai: 4.5/5. Tofu, pork, shrimp, and chicken included in the base price, beef and seafood option charges more. I'd say it's comparable to other popular Thai stores in Thai town DTLA. Good balance between noodles, peanuts, tofu, and veggies! Pork Jerky: 4/5. It's deep fried sliced pork, dip with the house special sauce. Very crispy. The sauce was good! It balances perfectly between sweet, sour, and savory. Wish the pork could be a little bit more tender. Papaya Salad: 5/5. You will love it if you love fish sauce, which I do! Recommended!

This is the best Thai place in Rancho Cucamonga! I have been coming here since I was a kid and the taste has been consistent for years. Love this place!

#7 for 2025 The overall service is generally good. The girls working the tables are polite and nice. Are attentive too making sure our drinks are filled. Parking is easy in this strip mall shared with NY Pizza. This Sunday evening was exceptionally busier than normal with most tables occupied when we entered. We were told to choose our table and settled into the last booth by a window. The menus were brought over but the water was not until after we ordered. I think they skipped a rhythm in their service. As busy as it was, and I saw a larger party submit their order before ours, the dishes came out quick. It was just my wife and I tonight. She was a bit under the weather so tonight's dinner was catered to her. TOM YUM CHICKEN $13 An excellent starter for a chilly evening to warm up our appetite. Loved the spicy lemon grass and lime flavor with the chicken and mushroom. Really helps the throat feel better too. BEEF SALAD $14 The Sliced beef marinated with lime juice, fresh chili, onion, tomatoes, and cucumber on a bed of lettuce is quite good on its own. I enjoy it better poured over my rice not to waste any of that good flavor from all the juices. SPICY CRISPY CHICKEN $13 This was a new dish for me. As many items I've had over the decades with Thai food it did not disappoint. The crispy chicken skin, bell peppers, beans with the spicy Thai curry sauce was nice and crunchy. On previous visits we've had other dishes and were also good. PAD SEE EW $14 I always get this with chicken to go with the flat rice noodles stir-fried with broccoli and egg. Place this over your rice then drizzle with soy and chili for added flavor. Could use a little more meat. GARLIC SHORT RIBS $13 Can't go wrong with ribs cooked with black pepper and garlic. That's a winning combination all day long. PAD PED CATFISH $16 This deep fried catfish stir-fried in spicy chili paste sauce is another of my favorites. Just thinking about that spicy taste makes my mouth drool. The Spicy Fish is about the same but uses tilapia instead of catfish. I feel the catfish comes off better in this cooking method than the tilapia. RED CURRY $13 All the curries are good but our go to is the red curry. Love the basil in there and wish there was a little more. Try their pineapple and pumpkin curries too. Those are not seen at other Thai restaurants so it's a bit of a treat to have them here. MANGO W/STICKY RICE (SEASONAL)12 If you're new to the Thai cuisine a must to try is the Mango Sticky Rice. Fresh sweet Mango served with sweet sticky rice and coconut milk topped with dried mung bean. That's a nice treat especially on those hot summer nights. What I like about Thai Diamond is their $12 lunch specials, Monday to Friday, from 11am to 3pm. They have a larger selection than most that includes garlic pork ribs, sweet & sour chicken, Thai bbq chicken, Thai bbq spare ribs, chicken pad thai and several more options to choose from. Now that i'm finish with this review I have a sudden urge to go back tonight.

food soup was addicting i couldn't get enough, if u come here u have to try the sweet and sour soup , i got mild (it comes with shrimp and mushroom, and it has the perfect amount of sour) crab fried rice - not my fav only bc i couldn't taste or see the crab , i would have liked more crab but fried rice paired very nicely with the soup service not bad but was very hot when i first came in i was sweating and got even hotter just sitting there , and this was before i had the soup my water was refilled before it got empty so that's always nice not awful service, not out of this world service it was just normal ambiance family friendly very standard thai restaurant nothing fancy but could use a little update since its looked exactly the same since for the past 15 years parking is always good prices are also really good i spent $32 before tip for the soup and rice and that was more than enough for two adults, we had leftovers to take home

Thai Diamond Bar.B.Q. is undoubtedly the best Thai restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga. This place is always nicely decorated, clean, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing meal. The staff is friendly and the food is always on point. Their lunch specials offer great value. The price is still affordable even with the recent price increase. Their service is consistently great and the restaurant is always very clean and well-maintained. Delicious food and outstanding service, all at a great price! If you live in Rancho Cucamonga/Ontario and love Thai food, then you should give this place a try. You'll not be disappointed!

Our first time trying this Thai spot in Rancho Cucamonga and we loved it! The fried tofu was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the peanut sauce was so yummy. The staff was super friendly and even surprised us with heart-shaped fried rice for the month of love. Definitely a must-try!

Nice restaurant and environment. I ordered the spicy crispy chicken, and I would not reccomend it. It came I took a bite the flavor wasn't there and it wasn't crispy. I asked to send it back and they said no. I ordered the chicken pad see ew and they used traditional broccoli instead of the broccolini. The spicy mint leaves with beef was average for flavor. Vegetable egg roll was good. Chicken "Saw Te" skewer was better than the beef. The noodles were bland but the shrimp inside was good size. Thai tea was good. I personally probably won't come back here. Average for flarlvors. Nothing was like wow that's really good.

It was only 10min before I was seated and the place looked pretty packed. Once seated the server came by and checked in with us and asked for drinks. They then brought bread for us. The bread was okay, didn't seem too fresh but it was nice to hold us off while we waited for our food. I ordered the outlaw ribeye and my Dad ordered a regular ribeye medium rare. The outlaw was about $40. I also ordered a side of salad and a baked potato which came with the steak. The food arrived fairly quickly amd we dug in. It was very tasty. The streak was cooked perfectly but the baked potato could have used more toppings. I ordered an extra side of sour cream. The steak was bomb. It was well seasoned and delicious. It was a nice spot and the service was very fast as well.

To my seated, 5'2" tall, self he towered over me. The intention to intimidate was palpable! I will never go back there! I do not go out to spend my money to be treated like that! Our waitress was wonderful; friendly, efficient, and helpful. The food was originally served cold and my T-bone bone was shaped like "--" (no "t"). The mashed potatoes were okay (but cold). The rest of the tables food was hot so not the fault of the waitress. She was so great to replace it. I would have never left a bad review if the manager were not so ... ick! Had I not been worried about embarrassing my dinner company, I would have walked out right then and there!

The restaurant is trendy, kind of dark, reminds of pub or club in a way. Service is friendly and they are super busy. I waited around 5-10 minutes for my order. The food is 4 meats and 3 sides. Basically they bbq the meat of your choices and put them in a to go box with rice and japchae (stir fry glass noodles). Rice is okay, japchae is savory and good. Dishes are greasy, flavorful, and sweet. I love the calamari steak. Good to order when you want more protein and noise and good BBQ dinner at home without getting the smells of BBQ on your clothes.

When we walked in, there was only one table of customers in the entire restaurant. The server saw us, completely ignored us, and looked at us with a very cold and unfriendly attitude. Fine. We stood there for about five minutes before a woman finally came over. I told her we had four people. She asked if everyone had arrived. I asked her, "So you can't seat us unless everyone is here?" She said, "Yes." Honestly, what the hell kind of service is this? So before my other friends arrive, I'm not even qualified to sit down? This is supposed to be a service business, yet they can't even provide the most basic level of service or respect. We turned around and left immediately. I came here to spend money, not to beg for a seat. If you can't give customers even the most basic respect, maybe it's no surprise your restaurant is completely empty. Do better -- or just close down already.
