    Cumin lamb

Stopped by for a quick meal (6/3) & it took awhile for food to come out. It was busy & they seemed understaffed as only one server who did amazing but seemed overworked. Food was alright- cumin lamb was mostly onions & bell peppers / beef noodle soup tasted a sort of bland with eggy doughy noodles. It wasn't the best or the worst but props to the waitress there today who was friendly & inviting to everyone regardless of how much she was handling.

Even though the front of the outdoor strip mall is currently under construction, it's absolutely worth the visit. The food is outstanding and service top notch. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. They also offer Dim Sum, which was a pleasant surprise and definitely a highlight, delicious, and well prepared. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcomed despite the construction. Don't let the renovation deter you, this place delivers great Szechuan Chinese food, excellent service, and quality Dim Dum. We'll definitely be back!!

The whole place is going under construction which could be good but your have to navigate the steel structures. You can't walk on the sidewalk. Today we did what most Asians do on Christmas and are at a Chinese Restaurant. They were busy around noon. The place is pretty small for a big group. We had a party of 15. They had 2 large round tables. I asked for the tables to be pushed together. She accomodated which was so nice of her. It was still very tight to maneuver around. Good was much better as well as service today. Poor lady had to wait on the entire restaurant but she did well. My favorites were the fish fillet, beef roll 10/10, green beans, spicy beef in a large bowl. I'm just thankful they were open on Christmas Day!

The food was hot and fresh. I asked for low salt in the eggplant but I should've asked for low salt on everything. The chow mien and the pineapple rice was too salty for me. I was really disappointed as I was hoping to eat the chow mien and rice the next couple of days. My wife enjoyed the eggplant and the vegetables. She said the eggplant was delicious.

8/22/25 Cozy little Chinese food restaurant in the plaza where 99 Ranch is located, quick, easy, friendly service, Ordered the shrimp pad see ewe, Mongolian beef & eggplant with chili garlic oil & it was ready in no time. When your total is $40 or more, you have the option for complimentary item, I opted for dessert-sesame balls. My eggplant & pad see ewe were pretty good, not better than most but still tasty. Hubby's Mongolian Beef, on the other hand, was not up to par. The beef was a bit tough to chew. Plus, the menu said it comes with vegetables and all there was-- lotsa onions (it should've just mentioned that, not "vegetables" as if there were 2-3 more kinds cooked with it). Portions were average for the price/value. Would we return? Perhaps, but not for the Mongolian beef.

The food was sooo delicious and not expensive. We had the orange chicken, beef soup and fried dumplings. Yummy!

Came to check out this place after all the reviews but did not hit the spot. The dumplings were bland and lacked flavor even though they were juicy pork. The fried cheese wonton were delicious and cheesy. The beef in the stir fry was chewy and not cooked to perfection. Service was great but the place lacked in taste.

Love this place! The dishes are great and prices are amazing for all the food you get. It's a small restaurant with a few tables for big parties. They are pretty quick with taking orders and bringing out the food so it's a good place to come with family and share the dishes. They also give you a free appetizer if you spend a certain amount so that's awesome for them for this! My favorite dish is the xiao long bao, and it's a must every time I go. I also love the cucumber salad and orange chicken.

The Fried Cheese Wontons were so good i ate them very quickly, and the orange chicken serving was huge easily enough for 2 people. I will be coming back forsure!

It's hot, tasty, and the same portion all the time. The store itself is in the same plaza as 99 ranch. It's a cute little cafe looking shop. Sometimes there's a wait to get in, but the turnover is mostly quick. You can order through Uber Eats or online through their website. My favorite is how numbing and actually spicy the dishes are. I love being in pain, and when you ask for spicy, you will get spicy. My go to is the chongqing zajiang or the yibin burning noodles. I've also tried chengdu zajiang and the sour pickled mustard with shredded pork, the stir fried potatoes, and the chicken with chili sauce. All dishes were excellent. They were very filling and delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable because they give you a good amount of food and the quality is great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I cant justify any of these dishes making me want to consume bowls upon bowls of rice. That's what spicy Szechuan and Hunan food is supposed to do....it should make you awaken your taste buds, with the power of their chilli peppers, Szechuan green & red peppercorns, and the umamis derived from MSG. Nope, I didn't crave the Lazi Chicken...nor the Hot Oil Beef Mix... Not the Cold Noodles, and I left with a $122 receipt in hand for 2 more takeout items on top of the 4 main dishes I've shared.....and I felt pretty empty. Empty in a sense, I could DO BETTER at home mixing my own Szechuan Cold Noodles, with Home Made Chili Oil, Sesame Paste, Sugar. Chicken Bullion, Minced Garlic, Vinegar, and Cilantro. I almost felt robbed here.....either every dish was lacking peppercorns and numbness, or it was missing Umami, Alot of it...so I leave anyone who wants to challenge my opinion otherwise and prove me wrong that the food here indeed belongs in a long list of top notch Szechuan Hunan Restaurants in Los Angeles. Even if this place opened up in Phoenix, I'm sorry, it's going to rank in the lower end of the bell curve. It was a hot day. I felt the service lady doesn't know how to tell "Customers Need Ice Water" and I had to vocally tell her ice and water please. I don't know, been a long week, haven't gone home for 10 days and just been bouncing on and off my rig all across the US....I just wanted some food I could really enjoy today, and Chili Bistro failed to deliver.
