A much needed coffee shop on wellborn by HEB. This shop is great to study and grab a coffee. I tried out the luckyccino which was a cold brew with vanilla, but i got the seasonal cold brew in mines (pumpkin spice for fall) and it was amazing. I loved that it tasted creamy and not bitter, which is usually why i stay away from cold brew drinks. Bonus, the cold brew is on tap! There is plenty of seating inside and a great patio space to enjoy the weather and catch up. I also had no issues w the wifi or finding chargers. I don't know why this place is so highly rated, maybe for the ambience. Anyway, the espresso drinks are just a little bit better than Starbucks, and nowhere near the excellent cafes in town like Harvest, What's The Buzz, Polite, Carport, Tavo, or even Gogh Gogh. It's a chain, and the coffee tastes like it is from a chain. The only saving grace is that there are actual human baristas pulling shots from a quality Slayer machine instead of just pressing buttons on a super-automatic Thermoplan machine. However, the coffee they use is extremely average (even though they claim it's freshly roasted) and the shots pulled are okay at best. Same for the food. We got a strawberry and a cream cheese kolache and they were chewy and doughy instead of being soft and pillowy like in most other places in town. Very disappointing. The service was excellent and the baristas were more than happy to indulge my questions about the coffee and equipment used. The atmosphere is also cool and hip (my guess as to why this place is so highly rated). I assume they have free WiFi too (not sure) which is bound to attract even more people. They actually have single-origin coffees which I wished they could use for espresso (I asked but they said those are for pour-overs only). Pardon me if this review seems snobbish, but the coffee culture in Bryan-College Station is shaping up quite nicely and this place doesn't keep up with the competition, unfortunately. read more

The place had a lot of seating both indoor and outdoor and a little playground for kids to play sooo cute. Wasn't busy so got our order taken quickly and I took a picture of the food (included below) and BAM our order was already done like woww so quick!! I got the toasted coconut Carmel iced with oat milk and MMMMM im big on not too much of a coffee taste and this was actually like the best thing ever. My boyfriend got the Hawaiian hazelnut with coconut cold foam iced and it was too much coffee taste for me but he loves that taste and he enjoyed it. Total was $16 read more

Such a cute coffee shop! So much seating to work or just hang out. The playground is great to bring the kids along! Great food & drink options! We tried the London Fog with lavender (YUM), hot chocolate, Goat Bomb & Latte. Would definitely order all again. Food wise tried the breakfast sandwich (wouldn't order again as it's mainly just a biscuit, very little egg/sausage) & Kolache (better than the sandwich!) Stopped in to Lucky Goat on opening day and had a great experience! Got to speak with one of the owner's who was so sweet and down-to-earth! I absolutely love that they have a playground as a remote working mom of 2! I tried the Strawberry Shortcake iced latte and it actually tasted like the name! Lucky Goat is my new favorite coffee/caffeine source in B/CS. They have a variety of drink options including single source brews, cold brew, nitro cold brew, espresso drinks, tea, and matcha. I haven't tried their tea or the light roasts in their single-source options, but everything else has been quite tasty. I highly recommend their Yuzu-Coconut Matcha Lemonade, which is an amazing flavor combination. Their medium & dark roast single-source brews are great and very full-bodied, and their espresso-based drinks are great too though when I ordered a "cappuccino" I got something closer to a flat white, and their "latte" was closer to a large cappuccino. They are a bit erratic when it comes to milk foam. I have gotten one velvety-smooth microfoam (on the "cappuccino"), one mid-sized bubble foam (on a cortado), and one small-bubble but not microfoam on the "latte". Their iced brown sugar latte was not too sweet, a very pleasant discovery. Service has always been pleasant and mostly been very quick. They can be somewhat busy, though not as bad as Carport. In particular there can be a morning crowd with lots of mothers and small children enjoying the playground, but even then I haven't had to wait too long. Unfortunately I'm not at all a fan of their food options. The only thing I've tried was a cinnamon roll but it was quite mid. Parking is great, with lots of parking spots. In fact, they have one of the most accessible locations of any cafe in the area. Lucky Goat is easily the best CS cafe south of University for me. The indoor seating area is a bit too industrial to sit & relax (ala Side Porch Coffee), but there is a patio with cushioned chairs and they have free wifi. read more

I ordered a honey lavender latte half sweet and unfortunately it was very very milky with no taste of espresso. I would consider going back to try something simpler like a cortado, but my latte was genuinely so milky I had to throw it out. The service was fine but not great, either. read more

The food and coffee are top notch. Just really excellent and far better than what I have come to expect from Starbucks. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I'm really looking forward to trying out the coffee beans.
