I've been here twice. This coffee shop is a great place for you if you like studying/working in a quiet place. And I like they way they use paper straws rather than plastic straws. The reason I give it 4 but not 5 is because they don't have bakery stuffs and last time I was waiting for my drink for more than 15 mins. My favorite coffee so far is secret handshake. I was interested in trying the Secret Handshake but I let him know I don't like my coffee really sweet. He suggested cutting the syrups in half and I can't say how amazing this coffee was! I also love the lids they use which require no straws! There is plenty of room for hanging out or working if that's your thing. Out of all the coffee shops I've been to in College Station, this is definitely one of my new favorites! There's a lot of parking and it's connected (no pun intended) to Connecting Point Church! Because of COVID, all the tables are really spaced out and they have plenty of room to study or just hang out. I got the Iced Secret Handshake and it reminds me a lot of Summer Moon's Winter Moon drink. It has a really smooth flavor and it's not too sweet in my opinion. I LOVE the Brew! It has been my all-time favorite coffee shop throughout college. I came so often that one of the baristas ended up knowing my usual. I always get an iced mocha latte with oat milk. However, they have a lot of great drinks on the menu like the caddy shack or other classics. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff is super friendly. Since they are connected to the church, they have a ton of study spaces for students. I'll definitely miss this place once I graduate. read more

Very dark which I don't mind. Employees are friendly. Green tea is delicious. However, their WiFi is absolutely horrible which I feel defeats the purpose of being a coffeehouse in a college town as a large sum of clients would be individuals who need to study and access the internet. read more

The Brew is a great coffee shop! They have a variety of unique drinks and the taste of the coffee is delicious! The staff are friendly and do a great job. There's also a ton of inside seating and they're open until 9 PM, so it's a good location to gather friends and study together. However, the WiFi can be kind of spotty, so don't be surprised if you run into some issues. The only think I would really change is the addition of pastries or some food options; I feel that it could really enhance the coffee experience. read more

Good place to study since there's a lot of seats and tables. I got a mocha. It tasted like watered down hot chocolate. Can't tell if they actually put expresso in it? Tastes like water. Sad. The cafe extended into the church next to it, which was nice since there's more room, but there's no outlets to charge ur laptop. The place is nice with good music that's not too loud. Will probably wanna give it a 5 at some point, but I've only been there once so gotta go a few more times to truly rate it (will inform of an update) Anyways, the concept of open space coffee shops never really existed in our modern day society. We build things to be cluttered, compact, and difficult to move through with our backpacks lagging beneath our shoulder blades; all while keeping an aesthetic that's pleasing. Then we have Brew, a very nice, open, calming coffee shop with all the ambiance of some of the best and unique coffee shops of society, while being extremely relaxed. Go if you just want to sit and meditate or have a group meeting, it's perfect for anything. The actual coffee: I was recommended by the barista to get the "secret handshake". Fantastic, go try it please, (same with the frozen hot chocolate) CPC, I will be back, maybe even for Sunday service! read more

I like the drip coffee-- it's cheap and refills are free. The staff is always friendly. There are lots of tables for studying and a nice amount of outlets. They don't mind if you bring in dinner too. I've heard lots of people like the Secret Handshake, but I've never gotten it. They changed their menu recently, so know that if you haven't been in a while. I also appreciate that they don't close until midnight on most days. Overall, this is my go-to coffee shop to study at in College Station. read more

If you like both lattes and cappuccinos then I recommend getting the cappuccino here. It's got a good coffee flavor and a good head of foam. It's not perfect because it's not actually a cappuccino...it's really a latte. In fact, I can't tell the difference between their large cappuccino and their large latte. Both are two shots, filled to the same level in the cup with the same proportions of hot milk, and foam. The latte does not have microfoam, and the cappuccino has way too much milk. With that out of the way, if you do like lattes and can get over the lackluster mouthfeel caused by no microfoam (which I at least don't expect in a cappuccino) and you like cappuccinos and can get over the fact that it is "watered down" with excess milk like a latte, then you can enjoy the good coffee flavor and nice head of foam that this drink provides. So I recommend the cappuccino (or the latte since I find them indistinguishable), and relaxed expectations. After this week they will start opening at 8am, making it much more likely that I could be a regular here. So now there's Harvest in Bryan slightly edging out Gogh Gogh, and The Brew, with 1541 just slightly behind the pack. read more

Had a great experience here. I was pleasantly surprised right when I walked in the door, as this coffee shop is in the same building as Connecting Point Church, right next door. I was expecting a pretty cramped space, but this place is huge! Typical coffeeshop décor, wood palettes, Edison bulbs and all. Barista Dylan was great. Not the most extensive coffee selection, mostly standard mixed drinks. However, it was a hot day and my dirty iced Chai latte (as recommended by Dylan) was delicious. Will be coming back for sure to try some of their standard coffee offerings. 5/5 stars. read more

My favorite coffee shop in College Station. Coffee tastes better than the chains. Friendly staff. Great place to visit or catch up on work. Wifi works very well. I need good wifi when I'm working here. I live the fact that you can add free flavors to your drink. What a deal. They use Independence Coffee (local) which I love. Love the warm ambience. Many tables are handmade by the manager. Afternoons are usually packed with students. If you don't see a spot, look to your right as you walk in. They section part of the church foyer with more seating. Stop by on Sundays and visit CPC. Safe place to go for church, even if church isn't your thing. read more
