Gogh Gogh holds a special place in my heart. It's kind of a complete circle story for me. When I came to college station for my sister's graduation, I was in search of a coffee place. I stumbled upon gogh-gogh and ordered my standard iced lavender latte. The coffee and espresso were both up to my standards and I thought it was a very cute and good coffee shop in the city. Fast forward a few months, I ended up studying for my medical school board exam in college station, and Gogh Gogh ended up becoming one of my safe havens and go-to study spots. I spent many 10 hour study days here and the coffee shop has seen me go through all 5 stages of grief from studying (honestly, not being dramatic). I believe the coffee shop is owned by Christian owners because they play a lot of christian music that helped to keep me grounded throughout my study days. The owners and baristas are all extremely nice as well! Regarding the coffee, all of their drinks and decent with overall good espresso taste. I ordered the raspberry white chocolate and the lavender latte many times and they were all solid drinks to order. Overall, love this place. The iced vanilla latte and blueberry muffin were very good. I love the ambiance of the place and I like that they play christian music. My only issue with the place is that the staff working on the day that I was there were not only cussing very loudly in their conversations with eachother but talking about inappropriate things even when a customer was nearby. I came into town from Houston for a quick coffee stop. The ambiance is great and I can definitely recommend this place to read a book or do some homework since it has lots of space with many seats. The barista was friendly, but unfortunately, I will have to toss this cold brew out, which breaks my heart. I don't taste the coffee, I taste only syrup and milk. Best Coffee House in College Station, hands down. There is now a matched pair of stellar coffee houses in BCS - Polite Coffee Roasters in Bryan and the Gogh Gogh on Route 6 in far South College Station. Number 3 is the Gogh Gogh on Texas Ave . The Gogh Gogh corporation ought to be feeling pretty good about themselves. Never mind the fact that the coffee is outstanding and the food is outstanding. Drop out of the top 3 in BCS and both the coffee and the food take a deep dive - quality wise. What makes the Route 6 Gogh Gogh a unique institution is the architecture. It is in a two story modern atrium building - that is all atrium. There are several offices and commercial establishments that use the building. You enter all of them by passing through Gogh Gogh. Imagine going to your Doctor's office by passing through a Starbucks. Some are on the top floor. Some are on the bottom floor. The outside of both top and bottom are Gogh Gogh. As you probably have already figured - the Gogh Gogh is huge. It is long ... the entire length of a strip mall. There is both upstairs and downstairs seating. There are two additional kickers. a) The interior decorating is stylish and beautiful. There is a large double-circle globe sculpture hanging from the ceiling in the center of the coffee shop, with electric lights subtly worked into the sculpture itself. Charming in and of itself. Everything else is mostly tasteful woods. b) The coffee shop has a Western exposure that is all glass. The glass appears to be glare protected - which is kind of a big deal given the harshness of Texas light. The result is in the late afternoon, this huge giant open space fills up with a warm golden comforting sunlight. Nothing interferes with you reading your computer screen. But everything is warm, cozy and secure - while being massively spacious and open and naturally lit. I really know of no other coffee space in the world like this. * * * There is a real estate office in the building - Re/Max. I suspect they are the developers for the project. I think this is an outstanding real estate concept. This is one of the few buildings in College Station not on the Texas A and M campus that would qualify as being architecturally interesting. From the outside it looks like a strip mall box. On the inside, it is anything but. (For a related phenomenon of plain on the outside, massively sophisticated on the inside, see the Main Recreational Sports building on West Campus. The architectural logic of the gym isn't apparent until you go on to the running track. Do a couple of laps and then everything will become clear. The architect absolutely knew what he was doing.) But even if I have the history of the Gogh Gogh building wrong ... It is by far the most unique and interesting place to work in the Bryan College Area. The coffee is good. The food is good. The space is massive with many good work tables. The crowd is fun to watch. (Polite Roasters in Bryan gets a graduate student academic crowd. Gogh Gogh Far South gets more of a church crowd. Interesting but with a very different dynamic.) An utterly fascinating place - and ideal place to get some work done and drink some coffee. Make the most of that golden magical late afternoon light. read more

We are used to California prices for coffee so $5.75 for an iced latte wasn't a shock, though it was more on the pricey side compared to other local coffee shops. Latte: I ordered the Starry Night-- the flavor was good, though a tad on the sweet side. The flavoring overpowered the espresso for the most part; so, though my drink tasted delicious, it was more of a slightly coffee-flavored chocolate milk. Food: My husband ordered the chocolate croissant and said he would give it a 2/5. It tasted like it was made with milk chocolate as opposed to semi-sweet which made it really sweet. If you like milk chocolate you would probably enjoy this pastry; however, my husband prefers semi-sweet and I prefer dark chocolate. On the flip side, I ordered the Blueberry Lemon Parfait Muffin and I would definitely order it again. The muffin wasn't dry and the lemon flavor really came through. What makes it different from a regular muffin is the creamy filling in the middle. Overall, I would recommend Gogh Gogh Coffee, but be aware that the lattes are very sweet. read more

I got a cup of coffee with some dairy type thing in it, can't remember what. It was weak and unremarkable, and Ihop's and Starbucks's coffee are stronger and more flavorful. Same deal with what I make at home. Service was fine, ambiance was a little strange. Kind of dingy, there were some safety hazards with the seating, and it was a bit too hot in there. The location was right next to the fitness club (Planet Fitness) I worked out at this morning, there was ample parking, good location in College Station (Texas A&M country!), the outside of the place was interesting & simple, catchy name, I was welcomed upon entering, the employee who took my order was friendly and polite, the coffee & egg, sausage, and cheese croissant were delicious and reasonably priced, plenty of seating (social distanced, a good vibe in the place, clean dining room, many beverage and food choices, many available power sockets, bright because of many windows, two big rooms, and very good WiFi. Gogh Gogh did NOT have iced coffee, so I settled for a medium cold brew (16oz) with cream and vanilla syrup. Unfortunately, my drink was $5 even, which I thought was a bit pricy for a 16oz drink. The man who took my order was very friendly and I was served in a timely manner. Due to COVID-19, I did not get to see the inside of the coffee shop. The kids working the shop could not find anything to put the beans in, asked us after 5 minutes if we were ok with a ziplock, not really suitable storage for beans. We wanted to add sugar to our drinks, not artificial sweetener (Splenda, Sweetandlow, Equal) and asked the kids since there was none in their basket on the counter and they couldn't find any and said they must be out!? Nice place for coffee! However their hot teas often lack flavor, which is probably due to the quality of the tea bags itself and not the baristas. Besides that the coffee itself is great and the names for the orders are playful. This is definitely one of the better coffee shops in the BCS area. The staff is very friendly and makes a solid latte. The coffee bar is tucked into the lobby of a business complex and really has a unique atmosphere. For breakfast they serve a few different breakfast sandwiches, but I typically get the donuts which are brought in daily from Babe's. If you're looking for a new place to try, I highly recommend giving Gogh Gogh a shot. You can't go wrong here! Update to my original review: Gogh Gogh has stepped up their game in recent months so I've changed my rating for them from 4 stars to 5. They are using a different espresso bean and it is great! Definitely one of my favorite places to study in BCS. Spacious, with plenty of natural lighting and reasonable amount of seating for students. The baristas were friendly enough, and whipped up a nice strong cold brew for me to enjoy as I pored over anatomy before finals. The menu was creative as well, and I hope to be back to try some of their more complicated drinks. The plain coffee is good by itself though, so with a foundation like that I don't see Gogh Gogh messing up anything else. There's a drive through as well. So if you need your coffee on the go, there's a way to Gogh. I'd say the only downside is that it closes pretty early so don't plan on being a night owl here. Great drip coffee. While it's not super bold, it's not weak, rather smooth and calming. My cousin got an iced white chocolate and lavender latte. WOW that's a drink. Tasty. BUT. The BEST part about this place? BULLET PROOF COFFEE. Not many coffee shops make it. I tried their drip coffee just to see if their basic brew was stray, and it was. Next time I'm coming for some bullet proof. :) The atmosphere is really neat. It's more of an industrial, modern business feel as opposed to a warm, cozy atmosphere where you want to grab a book and hunker down in a little corner. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. You will notice that the coffee shop is inside a business building and seating moves towards the "lobby" area. There is plenty of tables and seating to study so I always see students there. I've tried their latte's which are good. Since the weather has gotten cold recently, I decided to try their hot chocolate. I really wasn't sure how it would turn out but I gave it a shot anyway. It was actually pretty good! It was pretty cheap too, under $3. This coffee shop has a drive-thru as well! I have never had to wait in line either- so much better than Starbucks! I have previously been to Gogh Gogh and love the vibe and beverages! They take care to deliver quality coffee, and they arent a chain! I went there today and was EXTREMELY disappointed to find they were closed. They had a sign up indicating they were closed for Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but they would be open on Saturday with normal hours. At noon, they STILL WERENT OPEN. I don't visit often (since I'm from Dallas), but the fact I went out of my way to drive to South College Station to get a coffee from them, only to find they were closed really stunk.
