Sometimes, all I'm craving is a simple piece of toast or a sandwich paired with a great cup of coffee--and Lucky Lucky Café nails it.   [[HIGHLIGHT]]Conveniently located near Union Square, Lucky Lucky Café is an art-themed café wi minimalist design. It is right next to a preschool, designed to be both kids and work friendly. The space is thoughtfully divided into laptop-friendly and laptop-free zones. And don't miss their unique bathroom--it's playfully designed to look like a swimming pool[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Their drink menu features many specialty Asian-inspired drinks, including dalgona coffee, blue banana milk, matcha and hojicha. Note that they don't charge extra for alternative milk. *Avocado BLT Sandwich $15.5 Simple ingredients, but very delectable and refreshing. The foccacia bread was soft and fluffy, which held the juicy toppings well. I can eat this for lunch every day.   *The Becca $16.5 The sourdough was toasted to perfection, topped with rosemary tomato sauce, prosciutto and ricotta cheese.   *Sea Salt Cloud Cold Brew $6.5 I was recommended to try their sea salt cloud series, and the creamy foam wow-ed me It was similar to cheese foam on boba meeting vanilla ice cream. The slight hint of savory note from the sea salt elevated the flavor. The bitterness of cold brew was balanced by the sweetness from the sweet foam.   *Sunrise Cosst Sparkling $6.5 A sparkling orange juice layered with strawberry jam - fruity and refreshing combo.   *Lemon Ripeno $12.5 The cutest fruit-shaped sorbet EVER, scooped into a real frozen lemon! Bright, fresh, and tangy, perfect as a summer treat. It was quite sour for me but my bf was happy to enjoy it all by himself.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little spot near Union Square -- super convenient for a dessert date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean and simple with a small menu of food, drinks, and sweets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I popped in on a quiet weeknight to try the lemon dessert (and use the bathroom). Just one staff member was there and no other customers. The lemon dessert was smaller than I thought, but tasty. Will come back to try other items.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe is nicely decorated and feels very artsy and modern.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The snow white pizza was good, as well as the Mediterranean salad that we paired with it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall I feel like this a nice cafe to sit and chat in, since it has lots of seats and is not typically crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]On a Friday night, this place was empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were waiting for tables at 2 restaurants which would take about 40 minutes and every place was packed and noisy. I thought we'd stop in here to grab a cup of coffee and sit and wait for our table to be ready at the other places when I noticed that they had actual food on the menu, not just desseets. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had soft jazz music playing in the cafe, and it was nice and quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sold......I'm having my dinner here! The woman at the register was very nice and helpful. We ended up ordering dinner as well as coffee and dessert here. Everything was surprisingly tasty. The dough on the pizza was nice and soft and the salad was huge. The desserta were great. The tiramisu was just the way I love it...tasted fresh and soft. The coconut dessert was YUMS! Not overly sweet and with bits of coconut, it was presented in a half coconut shell and I loved it. The regular drinks like my cappuccino were OK but some of the other drinks were iffy such as my strawberry lemonade which was just strawberry preserve jam mixed with lemonade and it was way too sweet. They had a drink called Orange Americano which was basically like orange juice and coffee....a sour coffee that wasn't very good at all.

Union Square just got even more charming with this new café [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe here is pure magic, from the beautifully designed decor to the artsy restroom that feels like you're under a swimming pool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But it doesn't stop there--the menu is packed with unique goodies! Think creative drinks, delicious pizzas, mouthwatering pastries, sandwiches, salads and many more. And the desserts? Simply gorgeous--they're almost too pretty to eat! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Whether you're grabbing a coffee or staying for a bite, this spot is an absolute gem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered: San daniele pizza tuna sandwich lemon ripieno dessert strawberry matcha latte 400 times dalgona coffee Follow @spinx17 for more NYC food recs!

3.5 STARS Love the decor and there is seating inside and outside. Drink menu looks good. The iced Hojicha latte was good, however I tasted more milk than Hojicha. Cashier was very nice. Will update review when I try additional things.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lucky Lucky Cafe has a really beautiful and clean interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Dalgona coffee, which was refreshing but had a very light coffee taste. The service was good overall. We were offered water at our table. I did not try any of the food but would be interested next time. I saw a lot of people ordering the lemon ripieno.

    Yuzu Strawberry lemonade. Super refreshing!

Had a few minutes to kill while waiting to get my eyebrows threaded. Walked by this beautifully designed, well lit shop and felt compelled to go in. Lucky Lucky Café is stunning! All white with pops of greenery and yellow sunflowers on the tables. The architectural features of angled glass and white waves make you feel like you're in quiet peaceful place and not the heart of Manhattan. Not hungry, I opted for a lemonade. The employee was kind enough to combine the Yuzu and strawberry together to create an excellent thirst quencher with chunks of citrus and berry. Felt really good to sit in this calming environment while NY was Doing NY right outside. There are pastries and pizzas, so I'll have to come back and try something edible the next time I get my eyebrows done.

Tried the banana milk drink and it was really yummy. The interior is pretty. There seemed to be quite a few food options but we just tried a croissant that was good as well. Cashier was friendly and knowledgeable of drinks. There's a few seats outside as well.

look at how watered down this coffee is

I was really excited to try this place and wanted to like it, but unfortunately, it was honestly so terrible. The drinks are just NOT IT & are a complete miss. The Hojicha latte tasted SOOO WATERY, it was not good at all. The strawberry Matcha latte was the worst I've had in my life. First of all the quality of Matcha they use is probably D-grade, the color of the macho was extremely dark green (as opposed to how vibranr good quality matcha it should be). The "strawberry" part of the drink, tasted like jarred strawberry jam from the supermarket. I told the worker the Hojicha latte was not good and he was nice enough to remake me a regular latte, but unfortunately that also tasted terrible and water down. Honestly it was such a waste of money because my boyfriend and I just ended up throwing out our drinks. I've literally had better Matcha and coffee at a Starbucks/Dunkin. This place just opened up, but they have a long way to go.

    Elysze R.

Coffee is great quality and reasonably priced for new york! Not often that you get latte art for this price.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely place for breakfast/brunch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the margerita pizza and prosciutto sandwich which were both delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't too crowded on a Friday afternoon - will come back to try their drinks next time![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

They've kept this place in good condition. Lots of seating and menus everywhere. It once was an Art Deco bank, you can kind of get the feel of that just from looking around. If you look at the mural behind the cash out point it gives you a little touch of history what once happened within these walls. I ordered the salmon toast. It was a little hard but I like the cream cheese was thinly spread not just thrown in like many places. The salmon was good and the mint tasted fresh. The capers were like slightly toasted and crispy, i've never had them like that before and I loved it. I think the toast was just missing a little drizzle of olive oil on top. To be honest, I think the capers were my favorite part. They were just this unique texture. I've never experienced before. I also got an iced lavender chai latte to go. It was so light and delightful, with the perfect blend of lavender. I really enjoyed this place and would totally come back again.

When you enter there is a bar you can sit at and two large high top tables next to it. As you walk further in there is a lounge with couches and various sizes tables. The whole space is surrounded by books! Heaven! We ordered a chai, matcha and a ginger cookie. Shout out to the woman taking my order for comping me my drink for my birthday! Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. I went there at 3pm and hunted for a table and my friend got there by 330pm. By the time we ordered and started drinking our coffees - we were informed the lounge area will be closed at 4pm to prepare for the evening wine bar. Oh right this cafe turns into a wine bar in the evenings! How cool! At 4pm we thankfully grabbed one of the high tables - sharing it with another couple but it was large enough for the 4 of us. The lights dimmed and the atmosphere changed to more intimate. We unfortunately had to leave at 5pm, but I imagined picking up a James Baldwin book, ordering some white wine and enjoying both.... Thankfully the dining area was cooler than the waiting area. For food I got The Smash and added a poached egg. My bf got the breakfast burrito (he would have gotten the eggs Benedict, but it didn't look like they had Cholula). I had read reviews that this was the best avocado toast in NY, but it was maybe my least favorite of the few I tried! Could just be me, but it had more of an acidic flavor than I like. My last bite was also a mouthful of feta which I had thought was egg lol, it was honestly hard for me to get down. My bf's breakfast burrito was maybe the smallest he's ever had, but it tasted decent. 5/5 for service, and the ambiance (though hot) was cute. I'd be tempted to give them another try because of how good the reviews are, but I wouldn't get their avocado toast again.

The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more.
