(There were two or three other people who arrived right after my spouse seeking services.) My spouse said that the staff there were quite rude and seemed put out that she arrived 30 minutes before closing. My spouse again asked during s she need to come back but they said they would take her. My spouse gets routine pedicures so it's not like her feet were in bad shape and needed a lot of work, and went there to give another shop a try out and support a small local business. $100 later with a tip, my spouse came home saying she felt that she was an inconvenience to them. They didn't do a very good job, so she has already scheduled another appointment elsewhere to get a better pedicure in a more welcoming shop. To the staff and store owner: you can change the name, but without improving your attitude and customer care you will soon find that you have no repeat customers. A small business in a small town cannot afford to burn through local clients to send them looking for services elsewhere.

Today was an unsavory experience in the only salon I like in this city…read more Mind you I brought in a very simple inspo pic of what I wanted.. a base solid color with a clear based glitter ombré. I picked a regular polish off the wall as my base color. Showed my inspo pic and was told can be done. Everything is going fine until it comes time to put the glitter ombré. I was maybe 10min from being done. When it comes time to put the glitter ombré on I get told they can't put gel over regular polish. Okay, understood. I tried to reason and find a solution to the issue... like finding the glitter in a regular polish or sit and have them put gel on my toes after I was already polished. I spoke to my tech (who was shaking the whole time and yanking my legs and feet around) and he assured me that just needed to wait for the polish to dry to get the gel on my toes. Then another tech comes over and tells me it can't be done. All the while the manager was standing and listening to my issue and compromising with the techs and did NOT intervene to find out what was wrong. I didn't want to sit any longer for anything they wanted to do bc I didn't get what I wanted done to my toes. I went to pay and the manager showed no concern about being unhappy with my toes being half done and not what I wanted... he said NOTHING! On to the next issue, I took my daughter with me. I'm trying to explain what she wanted.. again a very simple design with an inspo pic shown.. base color and a paw print design on the toes.. she was burned by the water after being asked if it was too hot. I had to ask for the paw prints to be done 4x before someone came over to her and did the design. The irritation of the techs when working on kids is absolutely rude. The salon offers kid services, they are customers too.. treat them as such. As a paying customer, I should get exactly what I ask for and if not, at least compromise with me before my service evens starts.

As I walked out of that shop, unhappy, I saw this place and grabbed the phone number. When I called the new owner, Jessy/ Jessica, was super sweet and easy to make an appointment with. A few weeks later, I was in her chair hoping for a savior. She understood a man's "permanent" haircut, as she and her Lubbock friends called it.
