I really do hate giving out one Stars.. but here we are giving out one star reviews... I was short on time so I didn't go to my usual nail salon and boy do I wish I just waited to go to my actual nail salon. What are the worst manicures I've ever received in my life even after the guy put the lotion on my hands I broke out in a rash... and just a quality of his nail work I could have actually done a better job cutting down my nails and filing them. They weren't even shaped they were just cut down and filed which my other place actually does a nice round shape to my natural nail. My pedicure was very rushed and my skin on my feet and legs felt actually more dry then when I walked in there. The one good thing was is a staff was very polite and very friendly I noticed the guy that did my nails do everybody that was walking in there which was a nice nothing to see but the quality of the work was just awful. I will now have to wait for my nails to grow out to go to my other place to get them reshaped. read more

I had gone here for many years and have always had a good experience. The ladies have always given me beautiful manicures and pedicures, and I always enjoyed going there to get pampered. However, the last 2 times I have gone there to get a pedicure left a bad taste in my mouth. I have a friend that had opened up her own nail salon and have gone to her lately for manis and pedis. She only goes by appointment and there were times where I wasn't able to wait for one. I would go to Lucky Nails instead for a pedicure, and my friend uses a different type of gel nail polish on my toes that this salon isn't used to. When I last went for a pedicure, I had the same guy both times who also runs the front of the salon. When attempting to remove the old polish, he shook his head and basically told me not to go to my friend anymore for services and to only go to his salon. Both times he told me this! Even outside of the salon, if I were to see him, he would again tell me to only go to Lucky Nails. I did not appreciate how he belittled my friend and telling me where to go from now on. This isn't how you keep customers, it's how you push them away. I will never return to Lucky Nails. read more

Tried a couple of times over the years. Not bad. When getting a pedicure, most places are usually relaxing and quiet. It can get pretty loud with the talking and laughing going back and forth from the pedicure area to the nail station area. Nothing wrong with that, but sometimes it is too much. Waiting to get nails done, other patrons were complaining about a job not well done. Gel fills come out pretty thick. Very nice people, just not my cup of tea. read more

Just loved my experience here! I walked in and was still able to be seen quickly. The basic pedicure was wonderful. It was so relaxing, I actually plan to boost up to one of their other packages because the foot massage was so incredible. The owner, "Tinman" I believe is his name... was just wonderful. You can tell he really cares about his business and his customers. My favorite part of the experience was the vibe of the entire place. The atmosphere was what you would want during a relaxing spa experience. They had beautiful, calm music playing and a giant tv that featured colorful animals and birds. What an UPGRADE from other salons that play the news, or keep the salon quiet. The workers were all in great moods, cracking jokes and smiling. Vibe is PARAMOUNT to me... and this place delivered. I was having a stressful day, and after I left... I felt calm and relaxed. I don't get my nails done often because it typically feels like a rushed, assembly line experience at some places but this spot had all I needed! I will be going back for my nail needs! read more

We took my granddaughter to get her nails professionally done for the first time, for her 13th birthday. The person who did her nails was exceptionally rude, did a terribly sloppy job and was even ruder when I left a tip. I shouldn't have left the tip, I will never go there again and I've already told all of my friends who get their nails done about the treatment we experienced. We feel this was discriminatory treatment as no one else in the place was being treated the same way. We have no idea what the problem was with us. read more

This salon is absolutely wonderful! I called about getting my nasty nail situation resolved, and I really feel as if they bent over backwards to help me get what I wanted at a price that made everybody happy. My tech was Nancy, and she was so considerate and careful. She took off my old set, and gave me a fresh new set with a beautiful design all done freehand. She kept her station impeccably clean, and took the time to keep my hands clean as well. The acrylic was beautifully applied and I couldn't be happier. The whole salon is bright, airy and clean. U cannot wait to get a pedicure. Their chairs look fabulous, with iPads attached. They also have adorable chairs for girls to get pedicures as well, which I know my daughter will love. Both Nancy and the male receptionist (I wish I had asked his name!) took the time to ask me my name, and engage me in conversation. It was a bit more than I'm used to paying, but the experience was well worth it and I will happily be back in two weeks for a fill and possibly a pedicure. Five stars. Go and bring your friends!!! I called Lucky Nails today after a referral don a woman at a Drs office. I was greeted very politely and respectfully by a man in the phone. I needed a mani and pedi & they said they had availability. I drove from Enfield to Ellington but the yelp address led me to some rural street. I called again and the man recognized my phone and called me be my 1st name. He told me it was by the Big y. So I googled the big y and it was about 10 more mins away. I went in and was pleasantly surprised how clean and tidy everything was. A slight smell of incense was in the room but nothing strong (I don't like the smell of incense) The door bell sounds like a doorbell and has a pleasant sound. I was greeted by the American man who I spoke to on the phone. He greeted me again by my 1st babe. A woman approached the reception desk "Vina" Nguyen completed my mani and pedi with a pleasant attitude. The chairs are very comfortable and I observed then cleaning the Browns very carefully and placed plastics around the bowls as well during the pedicures. I enjoyed my visit and they were very good to get me to relax. It has been awhile so this was a definite lay needed pedi and mani. I would definitely return. A small detail - I recommend that they clean or dust off their electronic polishers that had dust on them. read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon, and I've been getting my nails done forever. Not only is your staff the rudest I have ever experienced, but my nails came out atrocious. I am horrified I brought my daughter in for her first experience at your salon. Do not offer kids service if you cannot be patient enough to work with them or even simply dry their nails. Or maybe even say Hi and talk to them. Thank you to the one man in this salon that even acknowledged her. My experience was so bad, I walked out without a pedicure. Terrible experience! Had gotten a gift card for Christmas so decided to try it out for a pedicure . I made an appt and had to wait 45 min past that time to get seated. Entire pedicure was 23 minutes, including painting. Employee cut my nails wayyyy too short and didn't even file/shape them. I have NEVER had this bad of a pedicure in my life. I will be wearing sneakers to cover them up until I have new growth and can get them fixed. It was so rushed and not relaxing which is half the reason I enjoy getting pedicures. This was the first time I went here and it was great. I could feel the positive vibe as soon as I walked in. Staff was very friendly and they had happy, upbeat music going. I got a gel full set manicure and Tree did my nails and he was friendly and personable. He offered a free nail design since we were interrupted a few times by him answering the phone or ringing out customers. I didn't have a problem with it or think it was excessive and appreciated the design. I liked the outcome of my nails, but could have done with one less layer of nail polish. I tried Lucky Nail today for the first time. I get regular pedicures and wanted to try a more local place. I won't be back. I was so rushed. I love getting pedicures mainly to relax. I was not asked which type of pedicure I wanted. Being new to the salon, I wasn't sure when they asked. I ended up with the basic pedicure. My toenails were cut too short and he left me before he even finished my pedicure. He said he would be back to put top coat on and went on to start someone else's manicure. After the top coat he told me to wait 10 minutes and never came back. Another worker saw me struggling to get my flip flops on without wrecking the polish and helped me out. They do a great job on my nails and are great with the designs too. I had gone to a salon prior to switching to then that told me they couldn't do this design because it was "clearly" a sticker (which it wasn't!). When I showed it to the ladies at Luckys they said "oh, that's easy!" Customer service was great. I was greeted and welcomed as soon as I walked into the salon. The salon is very clean, and has separate manicure/pedicure areas with a lot of chairs. TV's and Ipads around make the place very inviting. I would give the salon a 5, however, they did not have enough technicians working for the amount of appointments they had at the same time. The shellac manicure and pedicure were a bit pricey, and there was no discount if you got them both at the same time, only if you got a regular manicure/pedicure. read more
