Fathers Day 2025, a few items from Lucky's in Pinole, CA were purchased and put together for a wonderful feast this evening. Thank you so very much !!

Everyone was so polite in there! I'm usually a Costco girl!!! I stopped just to look around. Walked in I was greeted so nicely. I was looking at the signs to go down the correct isle. 4 workers asked did I need assistance!!!! Wow!!! This was so nice. Very helpful customer service. Luckys is where I shopped with my grandparents. I'm now 54 1/2.! Brought back so many great memories. The store was very well stocked. The employees were cleaning cleaning cleaning!!!! You could eat off their floor. I will vegan shopping at Luckys again! Thank You employees!!!

My receipt (that Sue scribbled on) "produce" $3.99 added to my bill by cashier at self checkout, without my knowledge. Scandalous ~

Self Check Out folks BEWARE! Yesterday I selfed checked my groceries. As usual, I needed the cashier to fix my computer from her register to continue scanning. Then when I went to leave I saw the Cashier smerk at me. Sue, should never play poker. I stopped in my tracks to find she added $3.99 to my bill. WTH, yes I had 9 items, 10 items were on my receipt. I stood right next to her, counted my items in cart & on receipt. She thought she could pull a fast one from her register & assuming I would not notice, because I had some high priced items. She tried to avoid me, when I was checking how many items I had vs how many on my receipt. As a customer, I don't have the ability to put "produce" as a line item. She finally admitted she did it! OMG, B@$!%! Watch out for Sue! Watch out in self check!

It's Friday, 3:00 PM. It is like the world is ending. Each checkout line extends beyond the middle aisle. Same with the self checkout line. You would think all hands on deck? There are three check out lanes open. This in insane! I will stick to my normal Lucky in Hercules.

Overall not a bad store to shop for all your groceries at. Usually avoid luckys all together because of how the workers treat you at all locations not just this one... They have a big bakery/ deli & two workers ( when I was in there ) powering through customers pretty quick. In and out transactions when they aren't busy at night time at least. Multiple self checkouts were open and multiple workers were at cash registers. Got in and out all I could ask for. They have a mens & woman's bathroom as well. Would recommend you shop at this luckys. Staff wasn't rude just not too friendly. Thanks for reading hope this helps!

Thanks to Cody, my tree is perfect N I am so happy LOL

This family owned and operated bakery has been serving the community for over 60 years, carrying on baking traditions that date back more than a century. Their famous buttermilk coffee cake recipe has been passed down through generations and is still made the old-fashioned way today. From what I've learned, they're the last bakery in the Bay Area still making this incredible family recipe. The baked goods are amazing, but what makes this place truly special is the family behind it. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their customers. You can feel the history, passion, and pride the moment you walk through the door. In a world of chain coffee shops and cookie cutter bakeries, this place is something rare. The history alone is worth a visit, but meeting the wonderful family who keeps this tradition alive is the cherry on top. A local treasure that deserves all the love and support it can get! Ps- I got the iced coconut chai, a FAMOUS buttermilk coffee cake and the hot chick panini. I also got a dozen assorted pastries/donuts for my staff to try. Incredible is an understatement. You're welcome in advance!!!

Anyway, I've lived in Pinole for many years now. Unfortunately with my schedule, it is very difficult for me to make it to Bear Claw Bakery And Cafe. The small handful of times I've visited I have always felt welcomed and enjoyed delicious coffee and pastries, and sometimes a cookie or two. I thank Bear Claw Bakery And Cafe for being a wonderful establishment. I just hope there is adequate room for my Service Horse to sit down next to me on the floor the next time I go. Don't worry Mike and Terry, I'll have my paperwork avaliable for you to review. If things become mob like or hostile feeling no worries either, I'll be wearing my big boy pants that day.

Every bite is hearty and it's truly a "healthy" packed portion sandwich - they do not skimp on ingredients, it's well worth the price and you will be satisfied after you consume it! To see how much Michelle has upgraded and transformed the Buisness over the years is inspiring! It's like night and day seeing how it used to look inside compared to now. The remodel and constant upgrades that have been made show that the owner reinvests heavily in the customers experience and that alone deserves a 5 star review. I reached out to Eric to cater mini mochi donuts for my wedding in March and his customer service was superb. He was so personable and friendly that I just wanted to order just because of that! I ended up ordering 5 dozen minis and everyone at my wedding LOVED them. So much that I didn't even get to have any myself during reception. What stands out the most about Mochata's donuts is that the flavor is actually IN the donut itself. Not just the icing that we're all used to. And the texture? Exactly the way a mochi should taste. Flavors? ON POINT!! The toppings are very generous, especially the Cookies N Cream and Mint Oreo. My absolute favorites are Coconut Pandan, Ube and Strawberries N Cream and my husband always goes for the Mint Oreo. I haven't tried all the flavors yet but I have no doubt that they all taste delicious. I also got myself a Thai Horchata drink. I never thought about combining the two flavors together and it was super good! Now I feel like I need to try every flavor of that as well. The ordering form was easy to understand and fill out, along with payment options. They delivered all the way out to San Leandro for a small fee. The donuts were good! The right amount of chewiness that I like in my mochi! The donuts have flavor infused into the dough as well as the glaze-- unlike other places where the glaze is the only part with flavor. I ordered strawberry, Thai tea and Ube. My kids loved them and so did the adults. I do wish the Thai tea and Ube tasted a little bit more like the flavor, but they were still yummy! Next time I'll have to try the horchata to go with it!
