Beware.. a weird thing happens when you map this address out with your phone using Apple Maps. If you map it out with this address... it may also get you lost. We learned the hard way. The weird thing is - I reported that address as bogus, got the real Luckys 2 miles north of this location. It might have something to do with Google and Apple maps not knowing which part of Gravenstein HW is which. I even pinpointed the location/ coordinates to Yelp and submitted a picture last Feb but it all still fell into this review. Long story short, if you do try to come to Luckys, make sure you know that if you cannot find it, travel north until you do... it is right by CVS and Fiesta supermarket. It is a big grocery with a shared lot, you cannot miss it. This Lucky is good, or has improved (probably) since 2011, based on earlier review. Just your average run-of-the-mill grocery. :)

As other posts have made note of, this is for the BBQ and not the actual market…read more Got a tri tip sandwich and pork rib plate. The tri tip tasted like it was cooked in the microwave - absolutely zero char and the meat was a pale gray color. If I didn't order tri-tip, I would have thought it was diced pork loin cooked in a strange tomato sauce, thrown onto a dry roll. The sandwich was slightly under room temp to the touch The plate was unfortunately not better. The pork ribs as described before me also had 0 char and were covered in a dry (?) rub with the consistency of damp bread crumbs. The taste was okay, but the execution just so not hitting the mark. Beans tasted like they were simmered in tomato paste, and the Mac n cheese had split and it was mostly grease on top of a strange cheese/macaroni conglomerate. The cornbread tasted like corn tortillas that had sat in a moist prep container for hours on end -bland, slightly musty, and also mushy. Andy's is an awesome market but boy oh boy is this BBQ stand not it. Maybe it was super good at one time but what I experienced is not something I would have eaten for free, yet alone the $40ish I spent to toss into the trash shorty after. The guy working the stand was nice and friendly at least. But please do better or don't at all, it's not fair to charge this much for food this low of quality.

It is dirty and there is profanity written all over the back of the door which is very upsetting when you have a child to take in there. It's also frustrating that it is the only bathroom in the store, so the line backs up quickly. Staff are pleasant. While the food selection is great, the prices are just ridiculous.

Extremely disappointed with the produce at Safeway. This has…read morebecome a consistent problem every time I shop here. The fruit is often overripe, soggy, sticky, leaking, and covered in mold. You can barely pick up a peach without it practically falling apart in your hands. And it's not just the peaches, other fruits and vegetables are showing the same signs of being old and spoiled. What's even worse is that the produce is leaking fluids all over the displays and contaminating the surrounding fruits and vegetables. I've seen mold on produce that is literally sitting next to other items that are being sold at full price. How is this acceptable? If the produce is visibly spoiled, moldy, leaking, and clearly going bad, why is it still on the shelves with a price tag on it? Customers should not have to dig through rotten produce just to find something fresh enough to buy. Safeway seriously needs to do better with checking, rotating, and maintaining its produce section. At this point, I'm hesitant to buy fresh produce here at all.

Today I went to Oliver's to buy something to take to eat while out at the beach…read more I wanted a teriyaki chicken bowl. I noticed that they started putting broccoli and carrots in the bowl. I started to ask the person who was making sushi about the added vegetables. I have been buying these chicken bowls for years without the vegetables being in the bowl. I dont like the vegetables in the bowls. I asked the lady who works in the sushi department when they started adding the vegetables ,because I know the last time I purchased them there were no vegetables. Thats when the guy making pizza dough butted in and rudely said that they have always put the vegetables in the chicken bowls . I latter learned his name is Armoni. I told him that I had been buying these chicken bowls for years and no vegetables. The sushi lady said about 6 month ago. Armani insisted it has been for 2 years even after the sushi making lady said 6 months. Armani acted like he knew more that the lady that makes these bowls for the hot food department and like he knows more than a regular customer who has been shopping there since the store opened in this location. He was very rude to me and his fellow worker. He should have minded his own business and stuck to making pizza. Normally the employees are very nice in the Oliver's Market. I do have to give a big thumbs up to I think his name was Trevor. He was the guy who was sweeping the floors. I watched him clean under and behind things with such detailed attention all while having a smile on his face. I hope I got his name correct. He was a thin guy with short blond hair a big smile .
