I love the salad bar and hot food selection. It's such a fun store with great pre-made foods. However, I had the rudest cashier and bagger today. I put my $100 worth of items in the basket on the belt. The cashierJuanita started checking my items in. The bagger girl said, "I thought we weren't supposed to take groceries out of their baskets." To which the cashier said, "We aren't. But I don't have the patience to ask them to do it." THEM was standing right there in the middle of them like I was invisible. I offered to take my items out and put them on the cart. SO RUDE. IF i go back, I will be sure to avoid that rude cashier. Get your customer service together or lose another customer. read more

My husband and I got food poisoning from tamales that they were selling in their deli... I know for a fact, because that was the only same item we ate that day ... after taking a few bites opened it up and the chicken inside was a horrible color and smelled... they do a lot of hot bar food and it seems they want to use every last bit even if it's time to toss it out... so disappointed... read more

I absolutely love the store! Everyone is very friendly and the food is outstanding! My daughters and I go here as often as we can. They have everything and more, you would want in a deli. Best sandwiches in all Sonoma County. I go on Tuesdays when I remember. The produce and hot food bar as well as sandwich bar and cheese departments are my favorites. The best sandwiches in all Sonoma County in my opinion. I especially love their gluten free bread for sandwiches. The Analy is what an old friend always orders. I had a try at the deli. It looked great and I was hungry. Got a box and loaded it with orange chicken, rice and egg rolls. Ended up being 20$ worth. First bite of chicken was like I ate charcoal. There was something burnt underneath all that breading. The rice and veg were bland. Not even salted. And the lumpia egg roll was nothing. Just crunchy texture. I should have gone to Panda Express. Cheaper and more flavors. And I hate Panda Express! Do yourself a favor: buy a frozen dinner and eat that still in the box. It'd be more economical and taste better. Never again read more

I have no idea what happened to this place. Just a few years ago this was one of the best grocery stores in Sebastopol. The store just feels depressing now. 50/50 on the cashiers, some are nice others can be rude or dismissive. The selection is still up to par in my eyes. We have always loved Pacific Market, back to when it was known as Fiesta. But, we noticed after the Covid Infection, when so much changed, that hamburger just didn't taste the same. We always buy most of our meat from Pacifica, except for hamburger we would buy it on sale at Safeway. Well, we haven't really liked the taste of their meat, especially when paying such a high price for 80% lean -- it's really greasy & the flavor is off putting. So, today my hubby bought both ground sirloin & grass fed hamburger at Pacific Market. The price of their ground sirloin was cheaper than Safeways, & tonight we tasted what we haven't in years.... The delicious taste of how hamburger used to taste. Imagine getting so excited over hamburger, but we both thought we found " gold ". It's so versatile , & used in so many dishes that if it's not 100% it will ruin your meal. We love everything about Pacific Market, but today we really had to mention them for their great meat department. We are very lucky to have such a great little store nearby. read more

Sad to see the store having a low rating and when I scanned, bad reviews seem mostly centered on the deli and hot-table offerings :( Our experience with the hot table has been much better than the other posters, but the deli really does seem to need some re-organization. The general speed of filling an order is ridiculously slow :( That said, aside from otherwise great, friendly, knowledgeable service elsewhere throughout the store, and a solid (if not stellar) produce department, THE REAL STANDOUT HERE IS THE MEAT/FISH COUNTER!! Just outstanding quality and selection and again, extremely knowledgeable and TOP NOTCH SERVICE!!! They get you what you want/what you ask for and they KNOW what they are doing!!! I personally love, love, love Pacific Market. I get food from the hot bar for 3-4 meals a week. Everything I have ever had has been delicious!! I kid you not... the premade salads of every kind are so superior to any I've found at any other store, I only buy them @Pacific. They make fresh pasta dishes. There are several types to choose from all the time. I have Chowmein with prawns waiting for me right now. They barbecue on Friday and Saturday, ribs, chicken, beef and more. Yum!! Deli , Meat and seafood (all fresh). Yes I could still go on and on. Don't even get me started on desserts, bakery, (fresh bread)!! I will continue to shop here until I either move away or die. Pacific Market has always been a 5 star market. Until today. The produce department was a huge disappointment. They had all of the usual produce they usually have (a great selection) but it was clearly OLD. The green beans were limp with black spots and dried ends and I went through container after container of boxed lettuce that was all brown. They still have their friendly helpful staff but something was way off. So off I'm wondering if it has changed hands? Luckily there is still Whole Foods and Andy's Market in town for fresh produce but I'm really hoping this was just an off weekend. I've always loved Pacific Market. read more

I'm new to the area. I went shopping at this cute little market. It was a neat experience because you don't see too many stores like this anymore. It's a little over priced but you do get the best service and good quality food. The only disappointment was at the check stand . There was a bit of a line and there was an older lady working who I saw talking too much to people she knew which may have caused the line to be as long as it was. It looked like gossip. To top it off she was completely rude to her coworkers. The blonde haired lady who was helping me was the sweetest thing and she was treated terribly. I won't shop here again if this continues. I just want to give a shout out to the meat department. I should have a long time ago. I've been shopping here for years, and there is only a couple of places in town, one is Pacific market, that I would ever consider buying meat from. There are a couple of chain stores in town here in Sebastopol that I wouldn't even touch their meat department with a 10 foot pole. Once in a while, I really love their stuffed pork chops, and it wasn't long ago that I went in there to buy one and they didn't have any, and I asked about it and they were like no problem, Give us a few minutes and we will make one for you. When we first moved to Sebastopol, Pacific Market was our "go to" grocery store. We really enjoyed its friendly service and community feel. I would have given it 5 stars then. But unfortunately, no more! Something has dramatically changed in the last 3 months or so. The prices have gone sky high. We saw $8 for a head of broccoli (what?) and corn priced at $2/ear over the Fourth of July weekend. Such price gouging. We went to Safeway, and got 5 ears of corn for $1.00. This is a review not for the sweet, amazing woman who made my sandwiches. But, her co workers who were rude to her. I ordered 6 sandwiches and it took 45mins to get them. There were 4 people behind the counter total and only one sweet woman was working. The other 3 were doing busy work when they could have helped make a sandwich. All I got was a "we're working on them" yet only one person was working on them. Honestly, an absolute disappointment in watching the one woman of color behind the counter working hard. Finally one woman came back from being called away and helped. Pretty upset about the whole situation. Three people making sandwiches and only to stop to answer the phone, ignoring all customers standing at counter. After over 10 minutes of waiting and being totally ignored, I left and left all my other groceries in my basket and walked out. Why can't one person greet and work the counter? really poor service. I just moved here and have been searching for THE market. I must recommend, Pacific market.It is clean, well stocked and the customer service is a 6! I always come away from the market feeling like the philosophy of excellent customer service started in this store. Here are 2 examples; I asked about an item they didn't carry and the manager took down my number. He called me 5 days later and told me they had ordered it and it was on the shelf. I was so surprised at the follow up. The second, I needed ancho chiles to make mole sauce and they had chilies with no names. This clerk went down aisles, trying to find info for me and reported back to me twice. It's nice to see that this market prides itself in excellence! read more

The person bagging spoke to me this time and being so surprised by this , I thanked him as I teared up with gratitude. Nice items in this store, though, but if the prices were based on curtesy, food would be free. What happened to those chatty, friendly people I used to see working there all the time? I don't recognize the people working checkout anymore. They act like they're in a hurry to get off work first thing in the morning! Suggestion: management, pay them more and treat 'em real nice...so they'll talk to us boogie customers who can afford to pay those prices! Love shopping at this upscale Sebastopol market. Deli counter never disappoints me. Meat and fish department know their stuff. I am not a cook and they helped me to make choices of main course and how to prepare and cook the fish or meat. They also suggested wines!!! Never had they steered me wrong. There are some good prices on things we eat and we appreciate the senior discount on Tuesdays. However, the customer service could be a lot better. Several times now when there are long check-out lines, a man has opened up a new register and taken the last shopper in line over to the new register to check out immediately, while others who have been waiting longer are still in line. That's just rude. It doesn't take a lot of intelligence to realize that this behavior is unfair and eventually customers will go elsewhere. read more

I have known this store a long time as a child and an adult because I've lived here for 30 + years. It's a cute family run market. They have a lot of specialty items that are too numerous to name. The location of the store is in the Fiesta center. I have known this store to carry a lot of specialty spices. The deli gave me a sandwich today. Everything was fresh and the lettuce crispy.
