Our project involved a new driveway, several retaining walls, flag stone, leveling the yard, drainage, irrigation and planting. We had a general idea of what we were looking for, but Roland made the process easy to take our ideas and turn them into a finished product. Given his years of doing this he was also a good one to enhance what we we wanted to do, or alternatively tell us "that is not a good idea". We were on a timeline to get the job done and he was able to deliver. One thing that is really helpful with Newland Landscape is that he has multiple crews working. This allows him to shift resources around as needed. I think we had people at the house working every day, and some Saturdays. In our experience this is a rariety with many contractors. We had to do our work as well, staying ahead of him picking out materials, plants, etc. but with that he was able to stay on track with our need. He did a couple of computerized renderings of our front yard, and we compared his ideas to my drawings, and wow, almost identical. The entire project took a mere 5 days. Even the neighbors were impressed especially with the high quality work. We had the entire front yard revamped and the driveway went from 2 car parking to 3 car parking with the walkways going from 3' to 6' with a new 6' walkway going from the house to the sidewalk. We reused all the existing plants we had, which saved us a bundle and look awesome in their new homes. Stephen had the crew run electrical conduit in case we changed our minds on path lighting. Good call! We changed our minds! So after the project was finished Stephen himself came out and put in the path lighting himself. After all said and done, I noticed that we had a problem with the sprinkler line under the side walk missing dirt. I texted Stephen and he immediately jumped into action to get the issue fix. Chris did arrive on Friday as promised, but a week has now passed and I have received neither a bid nor any follow-up communication from anyone at the company. While I can't say why, the timing was odd, as it prevented me from leaving a review on the platform where we originally connected. We were not sure of doing the project until our project manager contacted us and offered to send us digital renderings of the job. After seeing the rendering we contracted with them. It took them a few weeks to start the job but once they started it happened very quickly. They replaced our concrete walkway with Angelus pavers and it turned out very nice. It took them a week to pick up the unused the pavers, which was a bit long in my opinion. We have a couple of other areas that we will redo in the near future and I would consider using them again.

After deciding to redo our turf and also include our backyard, Mike came out the next week for a free in person consultation and got me a detailed quote within 2 days. Our project included: all the labor to demolish/uproot all of our plants including a very large 20 year old tree in the backyard + all the roots (completed in 2-3 days), redid our front and backyard turf (completed in 2 days by Backyard Golf Company), added a veneer stone and cap on our retaining wall (1 week) and replanted all our plants/installed a drip sprinkler system/installed lighting front and backyard (1 week). We have an HOA and Mike had a complete detailed plan and diagram ready for us within 3-5 days. Once HOA got back to us, the project was started within a week and finished in the estimated time frame. Workers came promptly at 8 AM and they were actively working all day not just sitting around. Very respectful, even blowing all the dust at the end of the day to keep the area clean, no garbage left anywhere. The entire project was $30,000 and there weren't any surprise or unexpected costs. Invoices are sent every week on a reasonable schedule and I just loved our experience. I'd recommend Seabreeze to anyone wanting to do their hardscape landscaping in a heartbeat!
