He replaced my front yard turf with drought tolerant plants and a drip system. He also worked with me to get the rebates from the water district. He built a retaining wall and new concrete stairs leading from the street to the house, including new lighting for the landscape and stairs. Changes were made in the design but Ralph was very willing to work with us and really anything we wanted. His team is experienced and work very well together. Ralph provided clear estimates for the additional work and sub contracted out quickly and kept our project moving forward. Ralph is very easy to work with and his pricing was fair, in my opinion. We had a fairly large project, driveway, paver hardscape, elevated deck, retaining wall etc. and as is typical with these larger projects, there is going to be a lot of tinkering and changes made once things got going. Ralph was easy to communicate with re: all these changes and was able to find ways that made it work to our satisfaction. In the past, I've dealt with contractors who would use change orders as an opportunity to price gouge you since you are already committed to their services but Ralph was fair in his pricing and I really appreciated that. The quality of his team's work is fantastic and we really enjoy our new yard with a lot more usable space. We ran into permitting delays from the city and then covid-related supply chain issues for materials that slowed things down but to be fair to Ralph, the pandemic related supply chain issues and city permitting issues weren't his fault. Better planning with material orders may have mitigated some of the delays but hind sight is also 20/20. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ralph and his team for a job well done. read more

Ralph did amazing work and his customer service made all the difference! We found him on a whim after reviewing some local contractors and are so glad we found him. We were in a tough spot and needed someone to start immediately after our pool contractor suddenly told us they wouldn't be able to complete our hardscape work. Ralph took another designer's work and executed to a tee. He worked around the pool contractors and was consistently friendly and professional. It was a HUGE job and Ralph offered his experience and expertise every step of the way. He completed all our hardscape including the pool tiling and coping, lighting and plants. This was a large project, removing all cement around house, new stairs up hill to top seating area, new patio covers, plastered the chimney, pavers, stone veneer on front of house, redid fences, added a beautiful fountain, low voltage lighting along walkways and trees, new sprinklers, grass and landscaping. Ralph said 10- 12 weeks and it was done in 12 weeks, even with several days of rain delays. Ralph and his crew were referred to us initially through Andrew at Landscape Locators. When we called to check references; his were glowing. I'm now joining that list of happy clients. The project (entire backyard redo, with brand new pool, plus front yard update) took longer than we anticipated, however Ralph's pleasant demeanor and deep well of knowledge and experience made the process much less painful than it could have been. He checked in on an almost daily basis, and his crew became like extended family. Their work is top-notch and when decisions needed to be made (and there were hundreds), they were helpful and collaborative. We had a comprehensive set of plans from a landscape designer, complete with spec suggestions for materials and finishes, and Ralph helped us value engineer throughout the process, saving us money on materials and design choices. We ended up making a fairly significant change to the scope of work after bids for overhead louvers came in at more than 25% above initial estimates. Ralph did his best to help us find lower cost options and we ultimately landed on an appealing solution thanks to Ralph. His crew consisted of 3 people who worked on the project from start to finish. We felt comfortable and safe having them on the property, even when we weren't around.
