I had worked with contractors before for an in-home renovation and this experience was so much better, efficient, and organized in comparison. To be honest, it really restored my faith in landscaping contractors. I submitted an online request for a quote and the next day Mike emailed me requesting pictures of what our project wanted to include. Originally we just wanted to pull out our front yard plants and redo just the front but there is a $5000 project minimum. After deciding to redo our turf and also include our backyard, Mike came out the next week for a free in person consultation and got me a detailed quote within 2 days. The turnaround time for everything was just amazing, I've never seen anything like it. Our lot is about 3615 sq ft to give a reference point. Our project included: all the labor to demolish/uproot all of our plants including a very large 20 year old tree in the backyard + all the roots (completed in 2-3 days), redid our front and backyard turf (completed in 2 days by Backyard Golf Company), added a veneer stone and cap on our retaining wall (1 week) and replanted all our plants/installed a drip sprinkler system/installed lighting front and backyard (1 week). We have an HOA and Mike had a complete detailed plan and diagram ready for us within 3-5 days. Once HOA got back to us, the project was started within a week and finished in the estimated time frame. Workers came promptly at 8 AM and they were actively working all day not just sitting around. Very respectful, even blowing all the dust at the end of the day to keep the area clean, no garbage left anywhere. The entire project was $30,000 and there weren't any surprise or unexpected costs. It is unusual for me to work with the highest bidder on any job i want done, as most of the time they are all similar enough that the middle bid works. Sea Breeze came highly recommended by someone who also had PAVERS INSTALLED IN HER FRONT PATIO. The first thing Michael did, that the other two bidders did not, was to check to make sure my patio would drain properly after a rain. This mattered, because the person who made the recommendation mentioned that she never got water pooling after a rain. The next thing was the offer to cut any curves I may want to add a touch of elegance to the finished product. The total job was to: .remove the dirt and bricks in the area that needed pavers .change my sprinkler system to a drip system (so the patio furniture would not get wet every other day). .install the pavers to align flush with the field stone that was remaining on the main walkway. We hired Mike to refinish our pool which he completed in June 2022. New concrete coping, tile, stone, and pebble. From the very beggining we noticed issues with the pebble color not being uniform and the concrete coping appearing blotchy. Over the past year and half it's gotten worse. Mike - this review is 8 months late, apologies! Mike and his team (Randy was our point person) were fantastic to work with. We had a small space that we were trying to maximize, and Mike was super helpful in providing guidance and input on how to make the space feel as big as possible for us, while adhering to the the requirements we had (i.e. Wooden Trellis, Fireplace, etc.). We first met and obtained a ballpark estimate, which was then followed up with renderings so that we could get a better feel for how our space would look when completed. The start date of our project was pushed back a little bit due to rain, but Mike and team made up the time and finished right on schedule. Randy was tremendously helpful, and we were very happy with the finished product. Please note that there are cheaper options out there, but Mike's pricing was competitive, and ultimately, you're paying for quality work from a team that will get things done when they say they will. I am beyond happy with the final outcome of my big backyard renovation. I knew it was going to be a budget heavy project considering the disaster of a back yard it was, and the amount of retaining walls that it was going to consist of. Please look at the before pictures to get an idea of this project. I contacted three landscaping companies, all with the same attributes being, great yelp reviews, licensing, insured and bonded company. I received three quotes for about all the same scope of work. There was a big discrepancy between the bids i received, and normally i go for the middle bid, but because of the size (and money) of the project, I took it a step further and broke down each estimate item by item to see where the difference was that was creating such different price points. When it came down to it, it seemed to be all labor cost. Sea Breeze happened to be the most budget friendly bid, but that wasn't the only reason why i went with Mike and company. Mike is who i worked with, and was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. I first contacted him via yelp/email, he was very responsive. Came out within the week for an estimate, and a couple of days later (if that-- i can't remember anymore) i receiving my full estimate for the project. Any "unforeseen" issues were in the estimate in the form of "if (blank) is found it will be $xx" - so basically clear as day, any extra expenses were already included to give you a heads up of what could happen. He answered any and all of my ridiculous questions that i had any time of day, he was always an email or text away. I finally was able to put down my deposit and he gave me his estimate start date. He estimate my project would take about 12-14 weeks with a September/October start date. Prior to starting however we would need soil testing, and wall engineering for the 8ft. Retaining wall and 2.5ft retaining walls that had to be built. He had companies already lined up to get all this done, so when it was time to start the plans were already in his hands. He was actually able to start Aug. 31st. He had planned ahead and had been working with the city already for building permits, so there wouldn't be lag time. He easily obtained the permits. His Demo team was absolutely amazing, even my neighbors commented on how great they were working. They always arrived, a little before 7am, so they can start working right at 7am, every day. Left at around 3-4pm every day, and everything was always nicely cleaned up and put away after each day. They worked the entire time they were at my house, only taking a break really to eat lunch for about 45mins i think, then it was right back to work. They really were there to get the job done, and at the same time they were courteous and friendly as well. They said Hi, waved, and always smiled. Demolition was done with about a week or two, and then the construction crew came in. Again they were just as punctual, cleanly, and friendly as the Demo Crew. At one point because of the amount of work that had do be done, Mike even brought in some extra guys to make sure we stayed on track with the timeline. Every step of the way, Mike let me know what was going on, what to expect, and that inspections were happening, and easily passed. Whenever i had a new idea about what i wanted, he promptly took a look at it, and let me know if it was doable, or a good idea, and what the cost would be. He is always so honest and down to earth, which is what made working with him such a great experience. You can tell he wasn't in it just for the money, because some of the things i asked him about would have when $$$, and he was honest in saying when things would be worth it and not in the long run, which i what I appreciated the most. (And he was right every time haha). He coordinated everything, deliveries were always on time just as he said, even in the midst of the Pandemic. Sometimes his normal suppliers wouldn't have stock, or their delivery times would be way too long, he had other companies that he's worked with that were able to fulfill our orders for fencing, stone, grass etc. He brought by samples whenever i needed to make those decisions. Every city inspection we had, passed without difficulties. Everything done to code, nothing had to be changed. He finished my backyard by mid November, which was actually a couple of weeks ahead schedule! I am so in love with my backyard now! I had asked if he could do my front yard too, and at first he said he will try and come back around to it, as he's already booked. It was fine with me he had said possibly January. A few days later he let me know he could start next week and get it done, so i can just enjoy my Home already! He moved things around to accommodate my project and i couldn't be more grateful. Mike is one of the nicest people you'll ever work with. His crew is also delightful and extremely hard working. We had such an amazing experience and love the work they did creating an entirely new look for our front yard. Our first plan was to do a concrete driveway and walkway but when we changed our minds at the last minute to pavers Mike was extremely gracious and made the change for us no problem. We've gotten nothing but compliment after compliment from other neighbors about how the yard turned out and also for how nice the crew was to our neighbors. He also added a beautiful retaining wall with planter and vinyl fencing in our backyard (sorry - I don't have pictures -- but take my word for it -- it was transformative). Mike checked with the city and discovered we needed a permit for the vinyl fencing. It needed to be signed off by the neighbor. Unfortunately, our neighbor rents, so in true form to his work ethic Mike tracked down the owner the same day, drove to his house and got the permit signed so work could begin immediately. Whatever the wait time might be to have him do the work, it is worth the wait. I cannot recommend them highly enough and we look forward to working with him again in the near future! read more

Mike and Jim's team came on time and worked hard everyday to complete our small patio project. Finished in exactly 2 weeks. We are going to do planter boxes along the edge but decided to do those ourselves. We feel so lucky to have worked with Mike and his team. Communication, timeliness, quality of work are all such high priorities! After the crew finished the back yard, we immediately requested to get on the schedule in the front. The crew overhauled our entire lot. Our project took place during the height of covid, the level of professionalism was incredible. We had a pool put in, paver patio installed, outside kitchen area, fire pit, the accent stones on the front of the house replaced, retaining walls (both stucco and stone) and full drainage redone, turf installed and landscaping in both the front and back yard.
