Went here for a company sponsored event on a Thursday night. The staff greeted our large party, went over everything, and began taking our drink orders right away. When the bartender is taking and making a large quantity of drinks you can't really expect the quality to be great. I didn't expect great drinks. I didn't get great drinks. The playlist was good. Our menu consisted of salad, sliders, veggie trays, some sort of chicken breast, short ribs, mushrooms, and a couple of other things. Everything tasted pretty good. read more

Just called to ask if they had happy hour because I swear I saw a sign at Cheeky Monkey saying the bowling lanes had discounted prices at certain times and the employee at the front desk literally laughed at me. So unnecessarily rude. To that employee: you literally work at a Lucky Strike bowling alley. Go get a life. I thought I'd reviewed this place years ago. I was here once or twice before the league, and then bowled two seasons (~12 meeting total) with Better Off Bowling. I have a separate review for them, as they are not run by Lucky Strike. I think this alley focuses too much on trying to be cool or hip then it does provide a good experience. They focus on it so much, trying to be hip sometimes gets in the way (tables and couches... to be explained) I can't speak accurately about crowds since when I was with the league, we didn't bowl at night, and our lanes were reserved. However, those few times I was here before ai recall substantial wait times. Back the "coolness" thing... lanes are in desperate need of some oil. It may be possible to get a little curve going, but nowhere near as much as on a properly maintained lane. Also, their house balls really need some love. I would say it's just a little resurfacing, but with the extent of wear, it may be even more. You can still roll the thing, it just won't be smooth or accurate. I also wish there were more mid-weight balls available. There are too few balls around 10lbs with a "large" drilling configuration. Also, it is quite dark in here, even on sunny days. They have a couple blacklights, and some light on the approach area... not much more. Not impossible, but seeing the arrows (used for aiming) is vastly underrated if you care even a bit about accuracy. While the scoring happens well, those keyboards used to enter the scores and names have outlived their useful life. I often have to fight with them to input a name. People having to push harder more times isn't adding any health to them either. Now, who thought up the layout of couches and tables? The distance between them is barely enough for one person. If you're here with some friends or say a league, you'll be climbing over people to get to the lane. Then there are the bathrooms... oh no. The one stall barely locks, and not standing in... some kind of liquid on the floor needs high-level acrobatics. Not nice smelling either. Is there anything good about this place? Well, if all these details are ignored, and you are looking for a different kind of cool and hip place to have a few too many with friends, it's fine. With a couple in you, you probably wouldn't care about these things (Please drink responsibly). I can't speak for the food or drinks, as I haven't had any. This place is liiiiit!! SO. MUCH. FUN. The time passed so quickly! My best friend celebrated her 23rd birthday here. There was a large group of us (around 10). We came after 11pm, and it was PACKED. That's how you know it's the place to be on a Saturday night! We couldn't believe it was 2am by the time we finished playing. SERVICE: We wanted to bowl first but the staff told us there were 10 groups in front of us. They took down our phone number and would contact us when and if a lane was ready. In the meantime, we went to the arcade, which was A BLAST. Awhile later, they notified us for bowling. ARCADE: My favorite part!! You have to buy a card (if you don't already have one) at one of the card vending machines for $2, and then load however many points you want to play. Most of the games you can play in groups of 2 or 4. There was table hockey, life-sized connect four, step-dancing station, freeze ball...lots of great games. There is a bar, and they were extremely busy. We had to wait a little bit before they could fulfill our drink orders. PRO TIP: If you don't end up using the game points on your card, you can bring it with you the next time you come and continue to use it! BOWLING: You could bring your own shoes or rent them. For each bowling lane, each group had their "own spot" (two couches, and a coffee table), which allows for a great cozy group setting. The thing recommendation I have is to check the distribution of bowling balls before you start playing! Most of the balls already at the station were 10lbs or heavier, and if you're like me and prefer something lighter, you might have to go to another station to grab it (like I did). Luckily some of the other lanes were empty when we started playing so we didn't disrupt the other groups. I wish I found out about this hang-out destination sooner! It's a perfect destination to hang out indoors and have a good time, especially for college students or young adults in the Boston area. read more

I love coming to this place for the arcade games. But the food and drink game needs a HUGE upgrade. The staff was very rude here. We had one staff member who was super helpful to us, helped us figure out how much we should have gotten charged for the drink we ordered (we were charged incorrectly and with the wrong vodka) which was great. The negative was they didn't give us a copper mug for the Moscow mules, which has never happened to me before! They didn't seem to care. Don't even bother trying to get food here. I ordered food three times and every time, the food took over 30 minutes to come. Presentation was off. I wouldn't recommend it, beyond burger was juicy though (which we expected). I would get this again, but I'm hoping next time the staff is more observant and present to deal with any issues that come about. Seriously need to step up their game. read more

You can eat, drink, play games, pool, bowl... ALL IN ONE PLACE. I absolutely love it here, you can easily spend many hours here with friends! This is a great place for friends to gather. Especially now that its the winter time, you probably just want to do indoor activities!! The food here is great too, lots of good snack options for when you're hungry and want to play at the same time with all good prices. There's usually a slight wait for bowling if you go on weekends, but in the meantime you can play pool, darts or go to the arcade! So the wait doesn't bother me too. Definitely a good spot for pre-gaming too if you plan on heading to the other bars later in the evening in Fenway! read more

Great place to visit if you're in the Fenway area or even Boston in general! They have both bowling and games. The games room is comparable with a Dave & Buster's size, perhaps a tad smaller- but that does mean less of a selection to an extent. They have many more gimmicky and genetic games like the football fires one, piano keys, and fruit ninja (except Kung-Fu Panda version I believe). At the same time they also have classics like Mario Kart, Ski-Ball, Hoops, and more. All in all pretty good selection for games. They have tickets and prizes which, like most other places, you need to hit the jackpot to get any of the valuable prizes- so no difference from most prize kiosks there. Oh and they have bowling. Haven't tried it, but definitely worth mentioning! Definitely looking forward to going back when I return home to Mass! read more

This place is awesome!! We came here after the Fenway Park tour to kill a few hours and it was great. It was a blast to the past for us 23/24 year olds. We bowled for a bit and ordered a miler high life that definitely hit the spot. This is a place for families and couples alike -- we bowled next to a super cute group of kids and their mom. It was an enjoyable afternoon. After we tired of pool, we went downstairs to the arcade. This place is like Chuck E. Cheese for adults. It had Mario Kart, Sonic, basketball, skee ball, connect 4, and all the other games one could think of. A SUPER fun place to spend the afternoon for adults and kids alike. We came on a Thursday afternoon to play some pool and, place was empty which was nice. This is one of the only places in Boston that has an open pool table for a decent price ($15 per hour) so it was nice to take advantage of this. You'll have to go to the third (top) floor for the pool table, which also shared the bowling alley. There are four pool tables, but two were blocked off, I'm guessing for social distancing. Overall, the game was fun, the ambiance was good, and we played a number of good rounds. We however had a few issues with the service here. I don't know if the guy who was taking our order was new but he just hovered... so many times... in a very creepy way. We asked if we could get a few minutes to look at the menu and played maybe a minute into the game until he came back and started hovering again. We ended up just ordering some classic beers (bud lite and blue moon) just to get him out of our hair. He then came back telling us we needed to order food and again, hovered a good five minutes while we were scanning the menu. When my beer was about 2/3 empty, he proceeded to pick it up and take it away - I walked over and told him that I wasn't done, but he had already put his fingers inside of my drink...??? So no point in drinking it after that. Also we were only halfway done with our fries when he cleaned off our table while we had our backs turned and were still playing pool... (note, we still had a good 30 minutes until our time was up). Also, I was shocked at how expensive the drinks were here - $25 plus tax for two beers and small fries, which were taken away from us before we could even finish them! On top of an additional $23 to play the actual game for 90 minutes. Honestly, more than anything, I just didn't like how the people who worked there just hovered around - making it really uncomfortable. The inside itself is pretty new and spacious, but it was freaking HOT inside (minimal ac) on a hot day, so I was sweating bricks by the end of the game too. All in all, a good intermediate place to play pool and go bowling - and it's not too crazy expensive for the game (food however will cost you a bit). But if other pool halls were open right now, wouldn't go out of my way to come back here again. read more

We had a team outing, and after dinner we decided to come here. We researched on the website to see what they had and all of that before hand. It's really unfortunate that when we got there that it was 8:03, And the person at the door told us that it's only 21+ and one of our team members was 20 years old. As we waited for her to get her a ride we realize that this was happening to many people that were coming in after us. It would be great if that information could be easily accessible on the website, I'm sure, or would hope it's on there somewhere but it should be upfront and center because it really wasn't fortunate that she had to miss out on the rest of the evening. The bouncer also let people walk out with beers and they were drinking beers on the sidewalk while they were smoking cigarettes. I don't think he actually saw them walking out with them I think they were holding them low but still. The venue and side is really fun and big a lot of games not big section for bowling, but we had a fun night aside from the fact that her team member couldn't be part of it. read more

Terrible experience. Bowling was $90 for 1 hour for two people. They placed us in a lane next to a large group despite being many lanes open. The table was a mess with lots of dirty plates and cups which the large group said had been there since they arrived. I asked to move us to another lane, which they did. The table there also had lots of dirty glasses. There was also a dirty glass on the floor in the bowling area that we stepped on before we noticed. Would not recommend to anyone, find another bowling spot. To top it all off, there were no strike or spare animations on the screen. read more

I had a horrible time here. It cost over $55 for 2 people to bowl for 1 hour, and the entire time our couch was facing a group of around 10 frat guys who were incredibly rude. They were standing on our side and making derogatory and offensive comments. The bartender was also extremely rude. I typically enjoy this place, for fun with friends... Bowling is my fav, it's not too expensive to play. They offer pool and an arcade as well. There's tons of seating areas and televisions to watch sports which is what they are usually playing. This place can be a really good time. I had never tried their food before and did for the first time, not bad. Pretty much the same American bar food as any other place. Our waiter was definitely not the best... Jeremiah. He was inattentive, distracted, and not very personable which is disappointing. He honestly didn't seem like he wanted to be at work that day and it wasn't even super busy. I came here last night (on a random Tuesday) because a group of us thought that it would be fun to go bowling. The place was pretty empty. The bowling was standard but overpriced ($6.50 per person per game plus a $4 shoe rental). I think this price goes up if you are trying to bowl on a Friday or weekend night (to around $7 per person). Given that a game probably lasts about 15-20 minutes, it was a quick way to burn through some cash. The couches around the bowling alley didn't seem to be very clean, and the bowling balls looked like they had been there forever. I was also hoping that there would also be an arcade section. They have a very small section with a couple of standard arcade games, a lot of pool tables, and two table tennis tables. I was pretty disappointed by the selection. We left after we found out that it would cost $9 to play table tennis. read more
