He explained that each table has a QR Code where you can order a Pizza from the new pizza place downstairs that replaced the Robinson Coffee shop. This really came in handy as we got lost in the vibe, were hungry but didn't want to leave. The pizza was a super thin crust, quality pepperoni, and just overall really hit the spot. For drinks, they have a happy hour Thursday - Sunday from 7pm-10pm with half off all of their cocktails. My choice was the Tequila Mockingbird, a playful play on words for the book "To Kill A Mockingbird". It's Tequila, Aperol, Passionfruit, Lemon and Vanilla. Incredibly tasty and dangerous because it goes down so easy. We had an amazing evening with friends, talking, laughing and celebrating my husband for his birthday. The live Jazz starts at 10pm and they close at 1am, which is great because I don't want to be downtown when all of the other bars and venues are closing anyways. I love jazz, so when I found out they host a jazz jam once a month I knew I had to check it out. the venue itself is incredibly unique; a converted home transformed into an intimate concert hall. it creates an atmosphere you simply can't get at a traditional music venue. there really isn't a bad a seat in the house. no matter where you sit you feel close to the musicians and complete immersed in the performance. It is a BYOW. They have a bartender on hand along with the glassware so you can bring a favorite bottle, settle into your seat and enjoy the music. It takes the entire evening feel more like being invited to an amazing private jazz performance than going out to a typical concert. The jazz was wonderful, the atmosphere was wonderful, and even the owner of the home who still lives there was an absolute joy. there's something incredibly charming about the experience. it feels personal, welcoming, artistic, and completely different from the usual Orlando nightlife. Ive been to a lot of places around Orlando and this is easily one of the best hidden gems in the entire city. Ive brought multiple people with me to enjoy the jazz, and they all say the same thing every time. Where is this place? I'm lost in a neighborhood and can't find it... And my oh my, what a show it was and what a little local gem this truly is! On arrival, parking was a tad confusing as it is behind the school in the neighborhood it is located in. However, there is park parking - which is ultimately where we parked. It is in a residential neighborhood and can be a bit hard to catch if you are not paying attention to the building numbers. But we found our way nonetheless. Once parked, we walked down Timucua Arts and were immediately transported into this mini eclectic oasis. The pathway is adorned with beautiful plants and flowers decorated with little knick-knacks and garden decor. There's also a seating area with a table off to the right just before you enter. Once we entered, we were immediately greeted by the hosts, given our program, and directed into the main theatre space. We found our seats and waited for the show to start. The theatre has this awesome wooden pitched ceiling (roof) that carries the sound throughout the space very well. There is also a spiral staircase that climbs up two additional levels where additional seating can be found. After a quick wait time, the play/performance began, and we were fully engulfed in the wonders of "Into the Eye: A Sacred Storm." The performance was OUTSTANDING! Bravo to all! I am so happy we attended this performance because not only did we get to support local talent, but we also got to support a local business like Timucua! What a wonderful evening it turned out to be. I always forgot to ask her the name of the place, until a couple of months ago, when she remembered about it and told me it was the Hen House. The first time I went to the Hen House, of course I had to get the apple pie moonshine, and sure enough it was the best thing since sliced bread. The bar is very small, but that's what makes it so good. The decor is a sort of bordello style, with sparkly bras hanging around the place (which are custom made locally, ask the bartender if you want one), a couple of golden heels, and all around, a very pleasing atmosphere. They do allow smoking, but the place has some wide double doors that remain open during operations, so it doesn't get smoky in there. They also happen to have a unisex restroom in the back, which was quite a surprise due to the size of the place. I've been back to the Hen House since, it truly is my favorite place in Wall street, as it doesn't match the other places. Every time I get the apple pie moonshine, but I have also tried some of their beers and cocktails. They keep rotating the beers they get (craft and domestic), and have a pretty decent selection of bottles. The bartenders will also make you pretty much any cocktail you want, and are very good about suggesting drinks. Again, this place doesn't fit the general vibe of Wall street, and that is why I love it. No pretentiousness, no crazy kids, just a cool chill place to have some good drinks.

It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. After we all piled into the photobooth, someone walked up and asked for our IDs. He wanted us to exit the booth to get them. Eventually said ok because we had already paid and on a timer. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.
