So tried this place out for the first time. People at the host stand not friendly. Not many people there yet the waitress was inattentive. After we tried the bread we noticed a gnat on the piece yet on the table. Gross! Noticed them buzzing around our table the rest of the dinner. The Ceaser salad was flavorless. Can I give a big fat "0" star rating!?! This place is literally the worst food I've ever seen. My son and I went here and the service deserved nothing. We waited for 10 minutes with an empty water glass before they finally came and filled it. I'm still waiting for them to refill my Diet Coke and that's after even the manager came and talked to us. I ordered chicken Marsala and it says in the menu that it comes with a side of fettuccini Alfredo. It came with no fettuccini and no Alfredo. The broccoli that the waitress convinced me to order was apparently substituted for the fettuccini Alfredo. When I got my meal it looked like 3 greasy chunks of chicken in a plate full of burnt meat grease. I tasted what they called creamy Marsala sauce and it was just grease. When I asked my waitress to take it she wouldn't take it and had the manager come over and talk to me. The manager asked if she could get me anything else and my only thought was "yes, a Big Mac and a Fillet o fish!" She tried to convince me that what they had in front of me was Marsala sauce and so I stirred it with my fork and pulled my fork up and it was clear grease NOT creamy Marsala sauce like it says in the menu. Then if that wasn't bad enough....they made me pay for it too!!! $30.18 for what I wouldn't feed my cat because it would mess all over my house. Nothing can eat that much grease and not spend the rest of the night in a restroom. Sorry but this place needs to go away!! Save your money and go eat at McDonald's!! Or even better yet Midland Brew Pub!! Way better food!! Way better service!! And you won't need to go to the doctor on Monday for high cholesterol and blocked arteries from their "creamy Marsala" sauce!! read more

We brought 4 adults, 2 children, and a baby, after they gave us the pager thing, we sat down and waited 15 minutes, still nothing while they were seating others.. then we asked what the wait will be and it was 30 minutes. It would've been nice if they told us it would be a 45 minute wait from the beginning. Anyone with kids knows that isn't practical. read more

Really packed so you better go in an off time otherwise be prepared to hear other conversations and meet other diners as you try to move around. Even the servers have trouble getting to you ! The last time we were there we got dirty silverware, which reading the reviews is not unusual. The food is just OK but there are not many other places to go in Midland. I suggest the fish because it is usually better than the steaks. The waiters/waitresses do not know the food very well or how it is prepared so you should not bother asking. If you get the fish tacos, which are pretty good, don't get an entree because they are more than enough, although they don't always know what kind of fish is in there. read more

Wish I could give it 0 stars honestly. Came here the first time to see how the food was as I've heard good things about this restaurant. Turns out the experience wasn't what it lived up to. Waiter was a little rude and manager didn't do anything for us other then one out of the three foods we ordered off our bill which was the cheapest meal. When out of our three meals we had lettuce on the verge of rotten. A lot of our salads and lettuce on burgers had dark spots on it. We were not pleased and our appetite was lost. Ate at Lucky's Steakhouse in Midland on 12/15/17, a busy Friday night, while in town visiting family. The restaurant was packed, but we were seated within 5 minutes. Ordered filet mignon and ribeye steaks, both cooked perfectly. Wedge salads were straight ahead but tasty, the crumbled bacon on top was great. Service was attentive, prices very reasonable. Food arrived quickly. Looking forward to visiting again during our next trip to Midland! read more

I have no idea why this place is popular. It's okay, but certainly no better than that. The service is fine, but the quality and taste of the food is mediocre at best. Prices are high for the quality. Worst of all, many dishes are way too greasy. We don't plan to go back. Biggest strength of this place is probably the drink menu at the bar. read more

Ate at the Imlay City location on Friday after attending the local Lavender festival. That location is run down and our food was marginal. Silverware was dirty as well. Pointed this out to the waitress and she replaced it with no apologies. Now as to the Midland location...visited that location today as we are from that area and normally the food and experience is good (not excellent). After ordering a grilled chicken sandwich and trying a few bites, I found a large chicken bone in the sandwich. When I pointed it out to the waitress she reported it to the Manager. The Manager didn't even bother to come over to our table. He told the waitress to tell us that they buy their chicken from an outside vendor and that they cannot control things like that. Wow...not exactly the response we were hoping for. So apparently Lucky's isn't responsible for the food they serve unless they grew it or raised it themselves. We would have been happy to just have the Manager come to our table and tell us "sorry that's not acceptable to us either." We tipped the waitress well as this wasn't her fault but the Manager could use a few lessons in customer service. read more

I want to say that this was for us a very clean restaurant. I also want to say that the help at the hostess station was leaps and bounds better than the ones at Bay City. Our waitress, Krystan, was very good. The food was also very good. Midland needed a good steak house because they haven't had one since the Ole Hickory House and this is a good one. read more

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here this evening. From the time we entered the restaurant until the time we left, the wait staff was very friendly and efficient. The beer was cold, the white wine was chilled, and the soup (chicken tortilla) was very good. As for our entrees, my wife loved the chardonnay chicken, and my steak was cooked perfectly, although it was a little tough on one end, which is not uncommon for a large sirloin. I have no idea why some of the other reviews were so harsh, but I certainly would return and recommend Lucky's to my friends. I have no idea why there are so many reviews that are not recommended, but they more accurately reflect our experience than the current reviews. read more

so after the first visit our entire party of 11 were disappointed to say the least. but I myself thought I would give it another chance and took some family. I would love to say it was better, but it was no different. Tables are PACKED in so tight and it's sooooooooo loud. but the food was just this side of terrible. the first visit all that had steak agreed they were not cooked properly but worse they were either chewy and/or so full of grizsle (sp). My husband and I had prime rib and neither of us took more than a few bites as his was way under done, chewy and had some grizsle, and mine was cold, extremely chewy and had two veins of grizsle running the entire length that I literally could not cut through. the second visit I steered away from any of the entrees and just had stuffed mushrooms which we fantastic. but again my son had a ribeye that was not seasoned at all and was very chewy, my daughter had the biggest bowl of chicken and shrimp pasta you could imagine only it had zero chicken. they clearly have issues with their supplier of meats as well as their cooks. I would not recommend this place to anyone, in fact I would have to say I rarely write a review but this place I would tell everyone stay clear of if they want steak and or a quite dinner. read more

August 4, 2017 This was the first time to Lucky's of Midland, Mi. with a party of 14 adults. The restaurant was moderately full for 1:00 PM and you had to endure the wait staff going from the kitchen to the dinning room. One wondered when a wait staff was going to dump a tray on your head. Poorly laid out floor plan. Four of our party ordered soup which was sent back three times as it would always come back cool or at best, warm. We finally gave up on the soup. The meal I received I did not order. One of our party finally received her meal (some sort of hamburger dish) after the rest of the party was 3/4's done eating. I finally received my meal, spinach salad plate that included unripen tomatoes. Most of the cooked meals were luke warm at best. Something should be done regarding the insect problem (fruit fly's and regular house fly's) as this does not add to a meals flavor when you are constantly batting at them. To top it off, no suggestion was ever made to furnish any replacement of the food.... read more
