Saturday night steak dinner was a mixed bag. The place was packed, with a 45-minute wait to be seated. Once at our table, our server was quick with menus and drink orders. Our group of four got appetizers--mozzarella sticks and cactus blossom onion--surprisingly fast. Both were hot, fresh, and delicious, pairing well with the included homemade rolls and cinnamon butter. Two of us ordered smothered chicken, and two got sirloin steak. The steaks were cooked perfectly and flavorful. The chicken was juicy but overloaded with onions, so we scraped some off. The loud music made it tough to chat across the table. Love me some Roadhouse. When we lived in North Texas, we'd go at least once every two weeks. Living in far Northern Michigan, it's rare that we can visit one. Since we were already in town, we made a point to come here. My only "gripe" is that their "Texas" Chili has beans. All the locations in Texas, along with those that we've visited in Colorado, Oklahoma, Utah, Arizona, and Florida, don't. Officially (Terlingua) forbids it. read more

Impressive for a chain steakhouse. Started with fresh baked rolls with honey butter and a green salad with house made salad dressing. Picked out our own well marbled rib-eyes from the display case, that turned out to be outstanding. Got a bonus of a free bloomin' onion and fried pickle basket! Service was great. The food is consistently decent. It's nothing to write a love song about... well maybe the rolls are spectacular. They do what they do well. I am so upset right now that my hands are literally shaking. You know me, I am not someone who complains often, but tonight was different. We went to Texas Roadhouse in Saginaw to celebrate my little cousin's graduation from Delta College. We had a big party, about thirteen of us, so we expected a bit of a wait. After about forty minutes, we finally got the text that our table was ready. Naturally, because we were such a large group, it took a moment for everyone to gather at the entrance. We had been sitting in our cars, so people were grabbing their things and making their way inside. The place was packed. We were standing near the door, all accounted for except my little cousin's dad. He is slightly handicapped and was taking a little extra time to make his way from the parking lot. Then the assistant manager, Hunter, calls me up to the podium. She tells me flat out, if every person is not inside and we cannot physically see them, we cannot seat you. I calmly explain he is coming, but it is just taking him a little longer. She nods like she understands, but then says they would need to seat someone else if we were not ready. So I ask her, if you give our table away, how long would the next wait be? She looks me dead in the face and says, I do not know. No explanation. No estimate. Just cold. At this point, it was clear she just did not want to deal with us. I told her it was fine if they had to move on, but I just needed a sense of what to expect. Again, she stares at me and says, I do not know. Whenever they get up. And that is when it shifted. Without warning, she screams at the top of her lungs. She looks me dead in the face and yells, get out. The whole restaurant heard it. I was stunned. Not raising my voice. Not causing a scene. Just trying to get clarity. Maybe she was overwhelmed because it was packed. Maybe she had a bad day before work even started. I do not know. But what I do know is how she treated me and my family was completely uncalled for. Tonight was supposed to be a celebration. Instead, I am left angry, disappointed, and honestly hurt. I can tell you now, I will never step foot in Texas Roadhouse again. read more

My steak had to be sent back three times because it was not cooked properly. I ordered medium and it came out as if it just came out of the fridge. All other food was great. I moseyed in for a quick pre-game meal before heading to the arena to watch the Saginaw Spirit. My server was super friendly and efficient. Steak was cooked as I ordered it (medium rare), and seasoned just right. A decent cut of meat for the price these days. And, the warm, fresh bread is always a treat. (Table of 2 ... hostess suggested bar, I asked if it was the entire bar area and she said yes... then made us move when we sat at a table in the bar area.) Took a set of silverware from a nearby table because we dropped a fork and a server came out with a new set and slammed it down (so hard that it unrolled itself LOL). Food itself was definitely better than the service/staff and was pretty good, but steaks were cooked at least one level above what they should be (medium rare was medium, medium was well done). Texas Roadhouse is one of our go-to places for a quick dinner, so we'll continue to eat there, but probably won't go back to this location. read more

My wife, daughter, son in law & myself stopped by Texas Roadhouse in Saginaw on May 31, 2025 about 2:00 pm. We first asked our waitress to please turn the music down. She took our order and brought us our drinks. The music was still loud. They hadn't turned it down at all. I mean it was so loud that the four of us could not carry on a conversation. When the waitress came back to our table she said nothing about the music. I asked her about it and I was informed that they can't turn the music down. I asked for our check because we were not going to eat listening to the loud music. The manager then got the energy to come to our table and asked if there was a problem as we were ready to leave. We never tried the food. But if you like loud music while you're eating and trying to visit a little bit, that's a place to try. We will never go back. read more

Texas Roadhouse is our go-to restaurant for take out dinners when we want something better than fast food. TR is perfect for that. I love the outside window we can walk up to, for picking up the order. I've only had 1 time when it wasn't ready at the online pickup time, and even then, it was only 8 minutes late. We have never had a missing item. The dinner rolls and honey cinnamon butter are fantastic. Side salads are BIG. The food is delicious, I've never had a bad dinner, and most times, the portions are bigger than expected. We end up with a Cactus Blossom every time. It's a Don't Miss. The staff at the takeout window is very friendly, and the app works very efficiently for placing an order. The one time we ate inside, it was also a great experience. Try this next time you just want to grab a meal to take home. You won't be disappointed. read more

I usually sit at the bar when I'm traveling on business. James was the bartender tonight. The rolls were huge! Line double the size of normal Roadhouses. I had the chicken fingers tonight. Yes, they have great what they call "Chicken Critters". I also like the pork chops. The Caesar salad side was great and the sweet potato was good. The tap beer selection at this one is very weak. The ambience is fun, the food is incredible and the service is outstanding! Every time we've been there, our servers are so friendly and warm; it really adds to the whole enjoyment of a night out. Warning: might want to starve yourself for the day ahead of time because their portions are HUUUUUGE. The ribs are to die for, the chicken is delish, and the side salads are the size of most restaurants' entree salads. Each server I've talked to seems to genuinely enjoy working there and it shows. Their customer service is top-notch as well! I've never been there when it isn't busy, and I've also never had an empty drink or a rumbly tumbly waiting for our server to take care of us. I'll be honest, we didn't have the most pleasant lunch. Which is a shame, as it was a birthday lunch for my daughter. First, the restaurant is kept very cold. At least not arctic, but vey very chilly. The music was not just loud, but you have to yell across the table for the other person to maybe hear you loud. My mother left with her ears ringing. The service is great, the steaks are great. But everything else we had, not so great. We started with salad. These cheese sheds they use, zero taste. The croutons were very soggy. On to the steaks....like butter, very good. I got fries with mine, not many a quite burnt, not to mention loaded with seasoning. I only ate a few. All three of us had stomach upset after the lunch. Brought my family here for dinner on Friday. Had an hour wait, but thats a good indicator. Order apps, entree's and drinks. Our server Hunter was on point and all around great server. First time at this location. I ordered an 11oz sirloin medium rare and my fiancée ordered a burger. My steak was cooked well done and my fiancées burger was rendered inedible from being charred to black. Our waitress was very accommodating and offered to have my steak remade to which I agreed and said she would send the manager over as well- Which itself took about 20 minutes for him to arrive. By this this time we had already been at the restaurant for an hour and with 3 kids getting antsy my fiancé declined all together to have her burger remade and starved. The manager comped her burger on the bill but did not at least take a small percentage off the price of my dinner for the inconvenience. I did not expect them to fully remove my steak from the bill but a percentage off for being there for an hour and a half and having to rush to finish my new steak was somewhat irritating. I will say the new steak I received was very good. Maybe it was an off night for them but I don't think we will be coming back. Side choices are pretty boring as well read more

I am a resident of Houston, Texas, and decided to visit this establishment. Unfortunately, I found the Cactus Blooms dish to be quite unsatisfactory. Despite giving it a second chance, the taste was consistently disappointing. During one of my visits, I encountered a server named Dawn who displayed rude behavior. She abruptly placed the bill on my table before I had finished my meal. Despite her discourteous attitude, I still requested a cheesecake for dessert. When it was brought to me, I politely asked Dawn for a plastic fork since the one I was using had been taken with my dinner plate. In response, she sarcastically remarked that I couldn't eat the cheesecake with a spoon. I calmly explained that I prefer to use a fork for cheesecake. Dawn walked away in a huff, and I had to wait for another staff member to bring me a fork. During this time, I noticed that the cheesecake served to me was frozen. Funny way of celebrating a birthday, not mine though, the first thing I had was bread. The bread in question was mediocre at worst or ok at best, it tasted like sweet heat. The Pulled pork sandwich was good for a Texas, but the fries were perfectly seasoned, over all I give Texas Roadhouse a 5/10, because I don't like country music |:( read more
