After watching FIVE other tables who came in after us receive their food and the people at the bar who all came in after us , we finally gave up and got up to leave. Highly recommend. They serve breakfast all day, so it's a great place to stop by if you like breakfast food. Everything is very reasonably priced. I ordered the veggie omelet which was about $8. The omelet was huge, filled with veggies and cheese. It also came with a large side of hasbrowns (they specifically ask if you wan them crispy!), grits, and toast or a biscuit with gravy. I was also told the chicken fried steak was delicious. The waitresses were very busy when I dined there, but they were still fairly quick with everything and apologetic when things took more time than expected. Us girls went out for lunch today here, I picked here because I have been here many times in the past and had breakfast late at night or in the middle of the night or early in the morning lol yep breakfast any time, always good. Well, I haven't been here in a long time because that virus messed up my eating schedule lol like I had a schedule, but I'm blaming that! First, the lady waiting on us was great, super friendly and they both seemed to be that were in there. So, ok the food, well there was a lot, when I say a lot I mean I could eat on it for three days!! Yep I brought it all home with me. Ok the food taste, sorry this is why it only got the 4 stars instead of 3. I had meatloaf, mashed taters, and fried okra. The meatloaf was super dry, but there was tons of ketchup on it, which I'm not a big ketchup fan and tons and tons of bell peppers, very strong pepper taste. So yeah sorry was not impressed with that but hey I'm very picky. The fried okra was pretty good, crunchy like its suppose to be but a little to much cornmeal on them, they were grainy from all the cornmeal. Like I said im very picky, and probably won't try any of that again, but I will be back for breakfast again soon. Try it out if your in the area, great for big eaters!!! Oh oh, fried green maters, yep they have them. We had some but the makers were not cooked long enough, dang I'm so picky lol I will sti k to frying my own. On Sunday, July 22nd we arrived to Lucy's Diner around 8:30 pm. Although the food was excellent there were some other circumstances that made this a three star review. The lady that took our order was new. She had my son repeat his order numerous times and when it came out all of the toppings he requested were not on his burger--he did get a bunch of toppings he didn't want. I ordered hamburger steak and the cook came out of the kitchen asking if I wanted ham steak or hamburger steak because he wasn't sure and wanted to get the order right. He then corrected the new waitress numerous times and anytime she asked him a question he barked at her. Very uncomfortable atmosphere........ Food was hot and delicious but the other nonsense was something we could have done without. read more

Visited Lucy's 3 times: Went for breakfast. Restaurant was packed which was a good sign. Food was delicious. Portions were large. Bill was very reasonable. Went to lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the Turkey Dinner. Food was not very hot. A little disappointed but decided to give it another shot. Went to lunch on a Monday. Ordered breakfast. Ham in omlette was burned; Hashbrowns were off. Biscuit was not fresh. Originally had Lucy's rated at 5 stars but had to downgrade to 3 stars based on last 2 visits. Food open past 10 P.M. is scarce aside from your typical pizza and "chain-diner" (you know which diner I am speaking of.....[if you are still unsure which, it rhymes with taffle bouse]). Lucy's diner is original which means the portions are big and filled with love. The staff are nice and helpful and the food is delicious. I love Lucy's! It's a typical diner with good food and good prices. They serve breakfast all day so my favorite time to go is for brunch. It does get busy on the weekends so be prepared for a wait. The food has never disappointed, and the breakfast portions are large enough to share. All of them come with grits plus your choice of toast or biscuit and gravy. All homemade and excellent. Keep in mind this is in addition to your meal... so lots of food. Also, if you've never had fried green tomatoes, get them and try them! We visited on New Year's Day, and I was so disappointed. I wanted to go somewhere that had "beans and greens" on their menu, and Lucy's did. The first thing I noticed upon walking in was how dirty it was. There was food all over the floor, and almost every empty table had trash and food on it. We found a table and hoped for the best. To sum up the rest of the experience, the waitress forgot about us- after taking over five minutes to come to the table initially to get drunk orders. When we had finally ordered, we waited a while only for our food to be delivered to the wrong table. Folks at that table actually touched my husband's food before the waitress brought it to us. The food was lukewarm and just not good. I'm hoping maybe this was just an off day for them, but I won't be back to find out. read more

This place isn't the cleanest restaurant we've been to. Also our food was very oily and the grits had no flavor like they came out of a box. New diner in the former Hi-D-Ho location near downtown Rogers. It's open 24hrs. The menu is full of daily specials, home cooking, lots of sandwiches, an entire burger section and you can get breakfast at any time. I decided on a weekday special of roast beef with three sides, cornbread and a drink for under $7. Great value and very tasty. The mashed potatoes were yummy lumpy and the mac and cheese tasted homemade. I will definitely go back and try other items including breakfast. My only complaint is how crowded it is. They left the old seating set up so unless you are a table or two or four, you won't really fit and won't be able to sit together. The waitresses were super friendly and stayed on top of keeping my drink filled. While Wesners might be the town fav, the food here is ten times better. read more

Anyone who knows me knows that lucys is my all-time favorite restaurant. I have been going there for years. But due to the covid restrictions, I have not been in a couple of years. And I finally got to go this morning, and I was shocked when I walked through the door. First, we tried to find a table, and there was food on a few, so we found one, and the waitresses finally came and cleaned tables that I mean, they just wiped the food on the floor so people could sit down and eat. When the waitress came to our table and gave me the menu, my face gave it away. I am used to the whole menu all day long, and now yall serve only breakfast until 1130 then lunch and dinner. Well, I finally chose what I wanted even though I had been looking to eat a BLT and fries. It took over 20 minutes to get our food, and the ham had no taste. The pancakes were rubbery. When I came here, I always bragged that you guys were not stingy with your portions and the size of the pancakes was legendary. OK it is old school breakfast but very good; my brothers had the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. I had the ham and it was the best breakfast ham I have had in years; real ham-not deli ham. I had over easy eggs and both my brothers liked the potatoes extra crispy on the grill. The only thing that was no great were the grits; I use almost no salt in my cooking but in this case I don't think any salt was in them and they weren't nice and creamy.
