I'm writing this to help others make an informed decision, because I wish I had known what I was getting into. 1 Safety Issues During Routine Care During a standard cleaning, a hygienist accidentally disconnected a drill bit inside my mouth and it dropped near my throat. Their only instruction was "Do not swallow." I had to sit up slowly and hope nothing caused internal injury. You shouldn't have to fear for your life during a routine cleaning. 2 Extremely High Staff Turnover & Lack of Continuity In just two years I have had four different dentists. Each time I had to re-explain my treatment plan because there was no handoff or follow through. One dentist even told me he was frustrated with the management here, and he left shortly after. It does not feel like anyone is accountable for a long term patient relationship. 3 A Costly Mismanaged Aligner Treatment I was sold a $3,000 orthodontic aligner treatment that a later dentist questioned as unnecessary. I started on a monthly payment plan but was pressured to pay the entire remaining balance halfway through. Once a third dentist reviewed the case, he expressed confusion about the treatment choice and pointed out that the previous dentist may not have even placed the attachment buttons correctly. The practice then switched to a different aligner company because the first system was not working. At that point it became clear the entire treatment had been poorly planned from the beginning. The new aligners didn't fit, so the treatment stopped entirely. I've now been waiting over four months for a refund on services they did not complete. I've only received vague, dismissive updates like "We'll look into it." Meanwhile, they have no problem repeatedly contacting you if you owe even a few dollars due to insurance adjustments. Bottom Line If you value: Consistent care Clear communication Professional management Respect for your time and financial investment ...then I recommend considering other dental practices in the area. I genuinely hope Station Dental improves, but based on my experience, I would not trust them with further care.

After checking every recommendation I could find, I made an appoint to see Dr. Goodman. It took me over a year to decide which dentist I should see. Pretty quick I felt Dr. Goodman was the best dentist I've been to! He's very kind, listens (!), explains, is gentle, calming, never judgmental. He keeps his office and staff up to date on all the technology, quite often he has attended conferences for the latest info and equipment available. Dr. Goodman will explain all the options for a procedure, usually there are more than one and I've never felt pushed to do anything I didn't want. The entire staff is helpful and kind from the front desk receptionist, to billing (she really knows her stuff with insurance!), to the hygienist. Everyone is professional, helpful and up to date. I was just at Prairie Hawk Dental office for a cleaning & the young lady was a temp who goes to different offices as needed. She told me that she has probably worked at 50 dental offices and that Prairie Hawk Dental office was the best of all of them, with all their up to date equipment and how the office is run. That says so much! This office can do implants, laser procedures, crowns, and many other dental procedures. I had a crown made after a root canal one time and the crown was done in an hour! No waiting a couple weeks with a temp crown, for it to arrive from another company! Because Dr. Goodman has all the equipment right there! Their appointments had come and went and the next time I saw her she said that they would never go back. Prior to my teeth cleaning, on several different occasions I had tried sharing some of my concerns with the dentist about an ongoing issue in my mouth that was only getting worse.
