The variety and quality of dishes served is outstanding! You are able to alter the ingredients in any dish to suit your taste or dietary needs/preferences. I had the Veal Jerusalem which was amazing! Such flavor and depth of sauce!,!!! The veal was so tender ! The tiramisu was the best I've ever eaten. The owner made a point to talk to us. I ordered their "supreme" pizza. It was delicious. Perfect crust, fresh veggies, generous amount of cheese that was toasted perfectly. Even though I had pizza, some tables in my area ordered other Italian cuisine that looked and smelled delicious. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Full Disclosure: If your idea of great Italian food is the fare they serve at Pizza Hut, or if your favorite family restaurant has always been the Olive Garden, this restaurant may disappoint your expectations. But not because Luigi's is disappointing; it'll be because your expectations are. Luigi's serves homey, Little Italy-style dishes that cover the full range of classic Italian-American cuisine. The food is simple, earthy, and satisfying. Everything is cooked to order, so component substitutions are welcome. Any pasta dish, for example, can be served over sauteed or grilled vegetables instead of pasta on request. Alcohol is not served by the restaurant, but patrons are invited to bring their own adult beverages in with them, and the staff is happy to open your wine or Champaign and offers appropriate glassware for each free of charge. Honestly I consider this more of a benefit than a disadvantage, as picking up your own bottle on the way to the restaurant instead of ordering wine by the glass once you get there saves you a small fortune on your dinner bill. I've been visiting Luigi's regularly for three years now, and the service has always, without exception, been wonderful. Luigi's may provide the best dining service in the Southeast Texas region, I kid you not. The staff is friendly and professional. They are also all knowledgeable about the variety of traditional entrees on the menu you may not be familiar with - don't be afraid to ask! Don't be surprised if Luigi's proprietor, Armand, wanders over to your table to personally make sure everything is to your liking. Observing the familiarity he has with so many of his patrons as he flits from table to table has given me the impression that most of Luigi's diners are regular customers. I've come to believe that once people eat at Luigi's once, people will eat at Luigi's often. The menu price points are reasonable for this style of cuisine. It's not a "cheap" restaurant, but the pricing is comparable and competitive with most every other family dining restaurant in the area. Honestly I recommend this restaurant to anybody. Luigi's is probably my favorite restaurant in Orange, if not the whole Golden Triangle. When I was younger, me and my family would come to this restaraunt, and MAN!! the food was AMAZING I would get the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and the cream was so creamy!! Anyways, on today 12/3/23 we came here to eat since we wanted to try this place again and the waiter was so so nice and the owner was very nice too! I got the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and the pizza for me and my lil bro and my parents got the chicken mozzarella and another plate I forgot... the food was DELICIOUS and filling! I've driven by this place many times but never thought about dining here, as the building is an old Pizza Hut and doesn't look very attractive. But today I decided to stop into Luigi's Italian Grill and give it a try. The interior decor is perhaps even more garish than the outside, with plastic vines and fake grapes adorning the entire ceiling in an unsuccessful attempt to create a pergola-like atmosphere. Despite the cheesy atmospherics, the service was excellent, the wait staff attentive, and the manager made his rounds to greet all patrons and ensured everyone was satisfied. I ordered the lasagna which came with a house salad. Rolls are complementary and they serve Pepsi products here. The Italian style here is heavily tomato-based but it is done right, with the flavors well balanced. The house dressing on the salad is also tomato-based with a nice zest to it. The lasagna came out hot and has a good balance between the sauce, cheese, and meat. I ordered the tiramisu for dessert which is excellent. The prices are very reasonable here. Overall, the adage "you can't judge a book by it's cover" really applies to Luigi's Italian Grill! The excellent food and service really atones for the decor, and I will likely return! read more

My family came to Orange so my daughter could take a dance class. When she was done we were starving and Italian was on the menu. There were a couple of restaurants to chose from, but Luigi's has the best reviews (4.5 stars) when we looked. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was very nice and attentive throughout the service. Our girls shared fried cheese and cheese pizza (of course), while my husband and I shared a Fettuccine Alfredo and Spinach Alfredo pizza. All of the food came out piping hot, which is how I think food should be served. The girls loved the fried cheese and cheese pizza. My oldest raved about it saying, "This is the best cheese pizza!" The Spinach Alfredo Pizza was amazing. I can't think of a pizza I've had recently that was this good, and we eat pizza regularly. The Fettuccine Alfredo was only ok, it was my least favorite item we ordered. It was really under seasoned when it was served, and regardless of how much Parmesan we out on it it remained under seasoned. We also got complimentary rolls, which were also very good. Since we had a long drive home a visit to the restroom was in order. They keep the restrooms very clean, cleaner than a lot of places, so there's a plus. The hall leading to the restroom was very hot, several degrees warmer than the rest of the restaurant. The pizza alone is reason to visit Luigi's. We don't come this way often, but I'm sure the next time we're in the area we'll stop by here for some pizza. I highly recommend anyone passing through Orange stop here for the pizza! read more

What a pleasure to meet great people who love what they do. Fully customizable dinner. European management and staff did everything they could to make me feel at home. Got Luigi's to-go and really enjoyed it. I got the Tour of Sicily which consisted of mini-portions of three classic US-Italian dishes: chicken parmigiana, lasagna, and fettuccine alfredo. Even with the mini-portions, I'll have enough for lunch tomorrow! I thought all three dishes were great and flavorful. They were also very saucy, which I love for bread dipping. The meal also came with a small side salad. I opted for the house dressing which was some type of tomato-based vinaigrette. I should've known better than to have ordered this dressing as my hatred for tomatoes trumps my love for vinaigrette. I'm glad I didn't pour it over my salad, which I can enjoy tomorrow with another dressing. (The gal who took my order did explain what the house dressing was. It's my fault for ordering something I was at risk of not liking.) Everyone from the restaurant that I made contact with was friendly and helpful. I'm glad I came in and am looking forward not only to my leftover lunch tomorrow, but revisiting when I come back to Orange next. Oh, and I loved the grapevine lined ceiling! read more

What a great find! If you like Italian food, this is a must try place. Their bread is served warm and soft. The seafood pasta serving is big and has a variety of seafood. Just be careful of the chipped off muscle shell. I found a few small pieces in the pasta. The lasagna serving is small but the price is only around $8 so can't beat that. I stopped in here for an early dinner with 2 friends on a Sunday evening before a Lutcher show. I ordered the Luigi's Combo and one of my friends ordered the Pasta Sampler which is exactly the same thing except the Combo comes with pink (mixed 1/2 marinara and 1/2 alfredo) sauce and the Sampler comes with red (marinara) sauce. I wouldn't order it again. Overall, there was too much ricotta and not enough beef and the 3 items were swimming in the sauce. I followed my friend's example and scooped it out of the "boat" it was served in, onto the plate underneath so I could scoop some of the sauce away and that made it a little better, but definitely not worth ordering again. My other friend ordered the Veal Marsala and it was loaded with Veal so she let me have a taste and it was tender and delicious, but it was also over loaded with mushrooms. It looked like a lot of food and she had to get a to-go box. I would go again, but consider trying a Veal dish instead. Also, when it was time to pay, there was only 1 register and the waitress could not take the payment for us so we had to wait in a long line to pay. I recommend getting your ticket early so you can strategically decide when to go pay. In addition, there was only one toilet provided for women to share in the entire restaurant, so be strategic about bathroom breaks too. read more
