Most of the food here is really good. We typically get pizza or a calzone. We avoid the Alfredo here. It's not very good. Service is good and I think the pricing is fair. read more

I placed a order for pick up in hopes of getting home fast to start schoolwork. When I placed the order on DoorDash apparently the shrimp scampi appetizer doesn't come with noodles. Why am I paying $14 for sauce and shrimp? I had to make the trip back for just noodles then I was charged again. I also didn't know it comes with rolls cause it's not labeled in DoorDash. I got myself sum just to find out they do. I spent an extra $15 just getting noodles and rolls. They're lucky I actually enjoy their food or I wouldn't be coming back. read more

I've eaten here since I was a kid, and it has always been amazing. I grew up when they still played a piano during dinner service, but the quality has always remained fantastic. I usually hate Italian food, but not Luigi's. Their lobster ravioli and calamari is insanely good! read more

I was treated to supper at Luigi's while on a business trip and our party of four was so glad we stopped by. We each ordered different items on the menu, and everyone was ooohing and ahhhing over them. I had a little Margarita pizza and it was perfect. We brought our own wine with us. Nice Italian restaurant. Went for dinner with the family while staying a night in Atlanta. First and foremost, Luigi's is BYOB! Just make sure you remember that about 5 miles outside the city since the area is dry. Fresh bread, reminiscent of garlic knots, is served on the house. The works spaghetti and eggplant parmigiana were pretty good. My sister's dish was a chicken and pasta plate cooked in white wine and lemon. Not very good, but it was the only food I didn't like. She didn't like it a whole lot either, but enjoyed rubbing it in my face that she managed to get some wine and I didn't. The decor is a comfortable setting for large groups, families and couples alike. Service was good and the waiter had a great attitude. There was one downside that is attached to the front door. But if I don't tell you about it, maybe you won't notice (although, that's unlikely, haha) and won't become super annoyed upon...blah blah. :) Ciao! read more

Took a chance and was very disappointed. The waitress/server had a mouth full of food when she came to seat us and then took three tries to sit us at a clean table in a restaurant full of empty tables. After explaining very clearly my dietary needs and they have gluten free pasta and options, it became very clear that gluten free is a joke here. The waitress was dismissive and nearly hostile when I asked questions about how the food was prepared, what was in the sauce, etc. The food that came out for me had battered and fried eggplant on it. I sent the dish back and then immediately went back to the kitchen and stopped the remake. The "chef" came out and commenced trying to intimidate me into eating the food. After a discussion I made it clear to him the waitresses attitude, his first mistake, and my unwillingness to become sick. If you have celiac disease or other food issues stay very clear of this place. It is abundantly clear that they are not educated when it comes to keeping their customers wellness a priority. read more

Visiting for the weekend and met up with a former coworker, we both brought in bottles of wine which our waitress cheerfully opened, corked and returned to our table along with wine glasses. There was a young guy playing the piano, nice touch. Place wasn't busy so we were able to visit until we closed the place down. Garlic knots that come to the table were very good. I had the mamocotti which is the best I've ever had. Been wanting it ever since we moved 6 years ago. My friend had the bruschetta which looked amazing and the calamari, she took these home for lunch today. Wonderful experience, my one and only complaint is that soup or salad do not come with your meal, you have to order separate but that's ok cause I was able to eat all of my pasta. The waitress (not hostess) greets us with a mouth full of food. She tries to seat us at two different tables that are dirty. I pick one that is clean and we are seated. My wife asked if one of the sauces is gluten free (they have a sign when you walk in advertising gluten free pasta) and the waitress gives us attitude. We all order and before we can finish our salads our entrees come. My wife has ordered her entree with the waitress and has been VERY specific. She wants the chicken and eggplant with marinara but without pasta and to make sure it's 100% gluten free. What showed up was a breaded eggplant that as been deep fried. But the marinara is gluten free. My wife sends the food back but something tells us this is not going to turn out well and she immediately goes to the kitchen entrance and asks to cancel the order completely. To add insult to what would have been injury, the "chef" comes out and asks us what he should do with the second meal "should I throw it in the trash"? There is no way they have had time to recook the chicken and we know they have simply dumped the eggplant off and re-plated the food. This place has no concept of customer service and cross contamination of food for someone with Celiacs and who is also grain free is obviously too much trouble for the waitress or the "chef" to deal with. read more

Finally, an edible place to eat in Atlanta. Prior to our discovering Luigi's this past weekend, we had to trek to either Texarkana or Shreveport, neither city we relished driving back from after drinking with dinner (the Bring Your Own Wine policy at Luigi's is a great accommodation) We started out with the fried calamari in their diavolo sauce - it was seriously excellent - the calamari wasn't at all "chewy" and it was perfectly fried. (the sauce had the perfect amount of spice that it was enjoyable, but not too hot). Next, we moved on to an order of cheese ravioli (very simple, but also very good - the ravioli was perfectly cooked, not at all soggy), and the shrimp diavolo - we were very pleased with both. Finally, we had a cannoli for desert - was a very good ending to a very satisfying dinner. The only thing I couldn't understand is why it wasn't busier at 8pm on a Saturday night (we were one of only three tables there). The prices are incredibly reasonable and the food is excellent. I would hope that Atlanta-folk stay in town and support this establishment. Why people would go to a formulaic Carino's or Olive Garden when there's a better option in town, is mind-boggling to me. read more

Walked in today the place smelled old and dusty. Didn't see anyone no customers or employees. Rang the bell on the front desk man comes out of the back and sits at the bar. We stand in the front with my 3 year old who is obviously making noise for 5 minutes waiting and nothing . No wonder not one customer was there. read more

We took all 4 of our daughters here for a dinner and we were blown away. It was very busy but the service was great, the food came out all together and totally correct. Everything was hot and tasty. The only thing we did not like was the water and highly recommend them toe get a quality filter. It is a big deal to go out to eat with 6 people and so often we spend the 60 to 120 bucks and are disappointed, NOT HERE! We have eaten lunch here a couple of times and again great. If you want real authentic Italian food and anywhere near Atlanta TX... ya gotta go. We will be back. read more

I've eaten here twice now, and the food amazed me each time. I've had the chicken Marsala and the lobster ravioli, and both were delicious. My husband has had the veal parmigiana and declared it to be very good. The prices are fantastic and it's only about 20 minutes from home, which is quite a bit closer than heading to Shreveport or to Texarkana. So glad to have a good Italian restaurant so close and can't wait to take my mom to lunch here one day soon. read more

The atmosphere was nice. Went with my wife and her family in June and the restaurant was empty and we initially thought it was closed. Everyone was very nice though our waitress seemed a bit aloof. There was no one else in the restaurant but it still took a while to get our drinks. The food was not very good. The veal was pre-breaded and frozen. It tasted freezer burnt and was chewy. The sauce was decent and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It would be more stars if the veal hadn't been so bad. read more
