The ordering is confusing at first but asking questions got us moving along. All the food we requested (all you can eat but you order as you want throughout the meal) arrived frsh and hot/cold. Orders took forever to come out or never did at all, depsite multiple inquiries and reordering. The fastest orders come in 8 minutes. Nigiri, sashimi, and rolls were tiny - and also took the longest to come out. And it sucked, because we could only order "1pc per person per order". So it took about 30 minuted for one order of 5 tiny sashimi pieces to get to the table. For someone that can't eat anything else with mayo or sauce in it due to GI issues, it was agonizing waiting for my meager pieces to arrive. There was so little raw fish in each order, I couldn't even confidently gauge the quality. I'd say around grocery store quality. Desserts came out way before before earlier sushi orders. This AYCE was my favorite one that I've been to. It's very spacious and had a lit up ceiling which was cute. They also have a happy hour with drinks. They had many options and the quality seemed pretty good over other AYCE places I've had. The offered sauces on the side-eel and spicy mayo. This is a good value for AYCE. The crab Rangoon was not it though. It was really crunchy which is good but the inside lacked the cream cheese filling. It was like eating basically the shell. I tried the dragon roll, snow crunchy roll, red snapper roll, and rainbow roll. My favorite was the dragon roll and snow crunchy roll. They were full of flavor and their rolls aren't too overly stuffed they were small and came with 8 pieces.. I liked that they were easy to eat. The service was ok I wish there was an easier way to get the servers attention. There were times where I wanted to order more but the server was elsewhere. My sisters and I went here for AYCE dinner and this was definitely one of my favorite places to go to for sushi. The inside was well decorated and the lightning added to the ambience. The server was incredibly helpful and considerate! The variety was truly amazing and I only got a couple pics of what we ordered because it looked too good. Some of our favorites had to been the texas roll, nasa roll and the mango roll! All of the desserts were amazing as well, we had the green tea ice cream, tempura cheesecake, tempura oreo, and tempura banana. I definitely recommend having any of the ice creams with any of the tempura desserts (you will not be disappointed)! I am very excited to go back when we are in the area again!! read more

I wasn't a fan of this place. This is the first time I have ever been to an all you can eat sushi spot. The thought of it in the beginning just didn't settle correctly in my mind, but upon arrival it was pretty packed so I thought okay let's give it a try. Outside the ramen I was pretty disappointed with all my dishes, either presentation, tasteless or didn't taste good at all. Like the seaweed salad which I typically love, took one bite and immediately pushed it away from me. They give you a 2 hour window to eat, but if your server only stops by a handful of time and takes 20 minutes for anything, even water, to come out then you really can't order as much. They also have a cap on how much you can order at one time and what you don't finish you have to pay extra for to take home. If you go here make sure you figure out what you want to try beforehand. Though for me I would pay a little extra and just go to a regular sushi restaurant and go home full and satisfied. read more

I have frequented the neighboring all you can eat sushi spot ohayo for the past few years, and was super excited to check out sushi Moshi when they finally opened. I finally got around to it this past week and only wish I went sooner! Their lunch price is around $20, very reasonable for all the food you can get! The fish was really fresh and I enjoyed the white tuna. The sushi portions are smaller, but there is also less rice as well so you don't fill up on empty carbs as quickly. I really loved the bear roll that I ordered, which was very protein heavy! my favorite order has to be the salmon tartar though; I ordered at least 10 times! There is ample seating inside during lunch hour on weekdays and service was attentive. The booths were spacious and private. I left feeling incredibly full! read more

If you've been to Ohayo Sushi on Bay Area, this is their sister restaurant, so the menu and quality is nearly identical. This location has a cozier space theme and a few extra options such as their tonkotsu ramen. I only ever go here for the AYCE, and for the 20$ lunch price, it's a steal. Service has always been great, and they have a good selection of non-sushi options included in the AYCE too. The food itself I'd give a 3.5. Pretty good and generously filled rolls, but not as tasty as the fancier sushi restaurants. The value more than makes up for it though, I can plow through 5 rolls plus soups and appetizers by myself, so that would probably run me almost 100 bucks at a non-AYCE restaurant. read more

Came here Friday with coworkers. They were pretty short staffed and the staff seemed pretty frustrated and annoyed. Our waiter was stretched pretty thin but light hearted enough to trade wisecracks with us - which is the ONLY reason they got 2 stars instead of 1. This place was legitimately the worst sushi I've ever had crab puffs were off like the oil was too hot so it had that burnt taste but the wrap was not cooked enough so it was like raw and crispy with the burnt oil taste. Fried rice was so dry, the roll I had had more cream cheese than a bagel. We had more left over than we actually ate and we left it all on the table. I'm not sure if we went on a bad day but if this is the quality then I have to say I'm not sure how they have 4 stars to be totally honest. I just wanna say as a server this was unacceptable and there's a certain amount of neglect I could take being one. Our server was named Brianna she was telling us that the kitchen closed at 9:45 when it had just turned nine we weren't gonna stay there long it was just a quick dinner after the beach. She proceeds to rush us through appetizers entrées and dessert During taking my entrée I ordered a Crunchyroll one of the cheap cheaper options since we had ordered a few different things and it's one of the go to that I prefer from most sushi restaurants She confirmed with me that she got that in when she was putting in entrées and when everything came out said that she never had one for the order this was unacceptable she proceeded to disappear multiple times completely but decided to show up after she put my roll in after saying the food runners are on top of running food obviously. She obviously knew she messed up trying to bring my food out body language of a service is not that hard especially if you've been one for years ! split the check completely wrong and was completely out of it food was OK the place looked real nice and it was real calm literally the only bad thing was the server if anything she needs to go through training again truly I've had this Yelp account for a while and I barely ever put reviews what this was truly infuriating especially it being a smaller restaurant and me working in a restaurant three times the size of it. This was unacceptable I highly highly recommend making sure you don't sit with Brianna other than that if we got a good server the ambience would've been beautiful the bar looked clean bussers and everybody else was doing their job. The quality of the fish here was soooo good compared to other all you can eat sushi restaurants in my area. The cut of the salmon sashimi was thicker than I'm used to at sushi restaurants, but it wasn't fishy at all. Plus, I really appreciated that the rolls were small and bite sized instead of being overpacked with rice. The service was really efficient and fast from the waitress being super attentive, to the people coming and dropping off the plates of food, to the people picking up the empty dishes. We went for dinner, so I will say it was pretty pricey ($31 per person), but I thought they had a huge selection. The ambiance was also nice as we got our own little secluded booth, so even though it was really busy that night, it didn't feel overstimulating. read more

I stumbled up on this place while I was in the area. I came in on a Saturday and was surprised to find out they have lunch prices $20 AYCE on Saturday. The entrance is inviting with flowers and wall lighting. The dining room is pretty basic but separated into areas. There is a sushi bar in one area which would be cool to sit in and watch the sushi being made. Service was quick and efficient. I was starting to feel a bit rushed after my 3rd order. My server kept asking if I was ready for the check lol. I enjoyed everything but the Tiger Roll and the Ramen were my fave. A pleasant surprise in League City! This AYCE sushi spot definitely exceeded all my expectations. Going in, I was surprised at the different various options that they offered. The Hamachi Kama which was perfectly cooked is not an item you will regularly see. The takoyaki was great and had bonito flakes on it, steak was cooked to medium rare, and the sashimi tasted as good as AYCE could be. What stood out were the amount of actual flavor that this place used and the creativity that they put into their appetizers. On top of that, the service was quick and the seating was beautiful. I came here on a weekday lunch. It only had about 2-3 tables around 12pm. I'm not surprised though as it is still fairly new. The host sat me on a corner table and the server was able to accommodate my needs to wifi to work. All servers have a tablet to input orders on the spot, which makes the customer and servers job easier. Their drink menu has option of milk tea which I have yet to try! The food here is delicious and very similar to the nearby AYCE place Ohayo. The menu is very similar, but this place has Tonotsku ramen, which I adored. I did come here for dinner and had sashimi, and I notice they serve the sashimi pieces full size, rather than Ohayo that their shapes are smaller and thinner. The presentation is also beautiful. My friends took me here for a pre-birthday dinner. And let me tell you, if you dig Ohayo a few miles up the road then you'll absolutely enjoy Sushi Moshi. It's housed inside a building that has seen many an eatery come and go. The first thing several people will notice upon entering is the space-themed ceiling. We're not too far from Johnson Space Center after all. We sat in a booth towards the back. For those sticklers for cleanliness, you'll be happy to know that Sushi Moshi is well taken care of. In terms of waiting, it doesn't take forever to be tended to nor get your order. The main attraction of the place is the AYCE menu so we had that. Ladies and gents, I cross my fingers that this establishment will reside here longer than its predecessor because I really loved the items I tried. From the seaweed salad to the shumai to the red dragon roll, my taste buds were treated like royalty. They all tasted splendid and were prepared elegantly. I appreciate that the rolls are not extremely big/full of rice, which allows you to try other rolls instead of getting full off of 1-2. Sushi was fresh and delicious but service was mediocre. The AYCE option for dinner had fantastic options to choose from. The sashimi options were my favorite. We sat down and ordered the baby taco (octopus) from the hot appetizer menu. It took a very long time and we waited to order other things until it seemed too long for it and we asked. Before we finished they brought a second order that we did not ask for. Once we started with the sushi, everything came out quickly. The yellowtail jalapeño was a star as well as the Naruto roll and the super white sashimi. I would skip the baby octopus next time and the seaweed salad which were both just okay. We would however definitely go back. The ceiling was cool with a light up sky. There were cherry blossom decor which was nice but then you see it is just zip tied to the partition just floating in the air. Sushi Moshi is an all you can eat hibachi, sushi, and "Japanese" food joint. For now, enjoy a $31 price tag per person. Children under 10 can eat for even less than that! Service upon entering was a little slow. Our table was already eating when we sat down and we must've waited about 12 minutes or so l before a waiter stopped by, but we made sure to order quite a bit to help us get through each round of intermission. Looking around the restaurant, I found it to be quite nice. It's definitely lively and family friendly. We even witnessed their bear mascot come out and wish someone a happy birthday! They really put in some major effort. Food overall was just okay, but there were some items I felt were decent hits. I'll also cover my thoughts on some popular items that most AYCE sushi restaurants carry. 1.) Crab Rangoon was a bit too sweet for me and the wonton sheet was a bit chewy/stale. 2.) Takoyaki needs a bigger piece of octopus, needs a thicker line of eel sauce, and more mayo. The bonito flakes should be added last. Otherwise the fry and heat control is quite good. 3.) Salmon skin hand roll - probably one of my favorite pieces of the night. Nice, clean, crispy bites. I felt the handroll was beautifully made (especially for an AYCE). 4.) Sashimi & sushi - Nice thickly cut pieces. You won't find anything out of your ordinary selection for AYCE sushi here. You can order up to 20pc/person each round. The original for the sushi is slightly on the larger side. I thought the unagi was fine. I expect a bit more from the chopped scallop gunkan. If you love yellowtail and salmon sashimi, this is a great place to fill up. 5.) Spicy tonkotsu ramen - It's rightfully creamy with a small but tasty charsu, and a soft boiled egg. Alas, the noodles:protein rations a bit too noodle heavy which could garner some suspicion. I think these might be the same noodles they use for their hibachi stir fry. They feel like they're made in house, though. 6. Maki - looking down our table, I thought their making rolls looked pretty good. We had the fuel roll suggested by the waiter (raw sushi roll) and we're pretty happy with it. Pretty high protein to rice ratio. We ended with sago, ice cream, and banana tempura as our desserts. The green tea ice cream was solid. I thought the banana was lacking in texture and flavor (not ripe enough) and would prefer the pieces to be a bit larger and flatter. The sago was mild in flavor. I'd be willing to give Moshi another shot in the future. But this time around, nothing really stuck out or made a major impression on me food-wise. 3.5 stars. Cheers! read more
