Bread is very delicious! Crunchy on the outside and extremely light and airy on the inside

We go for the lunch specials as i work around the corner. The fettuccine alfredo was delicious. To me they have some of the best bread and herb oil around! Even better is i asked for some to go and he gave me a whole box full and a cup of herbs and oil. Place pretty delicious. I have tried a couple of other lunch dishes but the fettuccine alfredo has been the best

I came with my wife and it was semi packed but the vibes were nice and the staff was SUPER attentive and my drinks would be refilled in seconds, the appetizers and entrees came out fast and was delicious Definitely recommend this place!

We chose this place for the fresh homemade food items. We found it located at the end of a strip mall, comfortably decorated with booth and table seating. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive and efficient. We chose the Chicken Angelo and the Chicken Milanese. I would highly recommend the Chicken Milanese. The vegetables were fresh, the breading was perfect, and the flavors were so delicious. It was very well put together. The Chicken Angelo, namesake of the restaurant, was a different story. It was bland, I needed to use salt to give it some life. I would come back and try other dishes as the Chicken Milanese was so yummy. And of course we had a bit of gelato to end our meal.

We stopped here for lunch on our way back home from Houston, and very glad we did! We were both craving pizza from a non-chain restaurant, and this was delicious! You get bread brought to your table when you sit down as well. This was exactly what I was hoping for in pizza, not exactly thin crust (because the crust at the end isn't totally flat, it has a little thickness to it) but still excellent texture and flavor. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for delicious pizza!

Our first time here. In fact, our first time in Houston, Texas! We wanted to eat at mostly local businesses. We googles something and Angelo's Pizza and pasta was second option. We decided to eat at Angelo's because they had better reviews then the other local pizza joint. Good parking. It was a great dine in vibe. It wasn't too busy when I got there. It was a party of 4. Place was nice and clean. Every food we got was delicious. From the mozzarella sticks, to the chicken wings, to the bottle of wine, and the pizza. We enjoyed every part. Customer service form our server was pretty decent. My guess was, he's an introvert? Nevertheless, if we're ever in town, I'd definitely not make this a second but 1st choice pizza spot.

Ambience, excellent food, the service! Awesome. My coworkers recommended Angelo's. Great recommendation. I went at lunch time, was greeted, oh those Italian aromas hit me upon entering. My taste buds as if on cue, started watering. I ordered the Artisan Margherita pizza. I ate the entire pizza much to my surprise! I tried a local pizzeria, nothing compares to Angelo's. I will definitely be back.

Excellent Detroit-style pizza. The bar pie is just OK…read more I've been here several times, and it shocked me when I realized I hadn't put in a review after a recent check-in. The fact that I'm a repeat customer (and a pizza snob) pretty much says it all. Still, here are a few facts about this location. - Service and atmosphere are nice. - (Craft) beer selection is not the greatest, but that's not a deal-breaker. - Both times I've had the bar pie, the crust was floppy. The slices folded over like a damp dishrag. A true bar pie is supposed to have an exceptionally thin, cracker-like crust. Not happening here. But that's no biggie, because this place is called Via 313, with the 313 representing the iconic Detroit area code. And the bar pie was not invented in Detroit. As for the Detroit-style pizza here? It's spectacular and pretty much checks all the boxes. - The crust is thick, light and airy with wonderfully crispy caramelized edges. This is accomplished using blue steel (square) pans -- just like the inventor of this pizza style did. - The sauce is also thick, slightly sweet and punchy with Italian seasoning. Definitely reminiscent of the stuff you find in the Motor City. - An authentic Detroit-style pizza includes Wisconsin brick cheese, which is similar to Monterey Jack. I'm not sure what cheese they use here, but it's rich, with a nice stretch. - The pepperoni here is good, but it didn't seem to be a legit cup-and-char variety ... at least not on my visits. Cup-and-char is essential when it comes to this style. Though the pepperoni cupped, there was nary a char. - Finally, these folks reverse-layer the pizza properly. Bottom line: Steer clear of the bar pie, unless you like floppy crust. Instead, go for the Detroit-style, and you'll be in for a real treat.

I was greeted when I entered and seated quickly with no long wait. My server Michael was pleasant and knowledgeable and I loved that he pointed me toward his favorites on the menu. I went with a half Uncle Sam and half Five Borough pizza. The dough was wonderfully soft but unfortunately a little too thin to hold all the ingredients together so things got a little messy once I picked it up! The marinara sauce was decent but did not leave a lasting impression. I also tried the Parmesan bites since they are listed as a popular appetizer and I had high hopes! I was imagining buttery fluffy clouds of Parmesan goodness. They were soft which was a plus, but the Parmesan flavor was barely there. A generous drizzle of garlic butter and a heavier hand with the Parmesan would take these to the next level. A good dipping sauce option beyond the marinara would not hurt either! They were running a $5 margarita special which I could not pass up! It was a solid frozen margarita for the price, though my glass was not quite filled to the top and let's just say it was not strong enough to give me even the slightest buzz. Overall a decent spot with good potential! The vibe is great and the service was solid. I would go back and next time I am definitely trying the wings!

I'm finally dusting off my old 2017 review for Boondoggles to provide an update…read more I returned here last night for a pre-birthday outing. While randomly Googling, I remembered Boondoggles and decided to give the 'old place' another try. My first visit was for a dinner with classmates from UHCL; my second was with my brother. The eatery looked practically the same as it did nearly eight years ago. Its dive bar meets German beer hall vibe is still very much alive, and the place was still bustling with people. I came in with fish and chips on my mind, but a lengthy scan of the menu led me to the Florentini Chicken, while my brother ordered the shrimp po-boy. The Florentini Chicken was really good, and I think it's a solid choice for the health-conscious. The chicken was tender and the vegetables were perfectly crisp. My only wish was that the entire dish had been a bit larger, as the mashed potatoes were gone in just a few spoonfuls. On reflection, while the Florentini Chicken deserves a try, I'll probably stick with pizza next time. I asked my brother how he liked his shrimp po-boy, and he had no complaints, so I'll take that as a sign he enjoyed it. Price-wise, while the costs may have risen over the years, they were not unreasonable.
