Very impressed with all the First Watch locations we've stopped at. This restaurant was very busy, but the staff was all on point and hustling to keep things going. We were seated fast, and drinks/orders taken and filled quickly. They always have an interesting selection to choose from, and the food is always hot and fresh. Coffee is superior to just about all the other breakfast places we've stopped at. Service is very friendly and efficient, and they have the "pay at the table" thing set up, so you don't have to wave down your server. They never rushed us, even though they had a lot of business, and always kept up with checking on us. read more

For starters, the Kale Tonic has fuji apple and is not too sweet and both elevates and smooths out the flavor. Kale can overpower, but not here. My son really enjoyed the Meditation drink. Coffee is always on point here as well. We ordered Million Dollar Bacon for the table. I see why they call it that - cuz it is rich in flavor. My Wife had the Skillet Hash Parma and she thought it was tasty but a little salty. My son had the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and ate two of the three-big servings. I coulda handled all three. Means one taco for the dog at home-at least dog edible parts. I had the Tri-Athlete. The pico di gallo goves it great flavor cuz it is egg whites after all. A healthy take on breakfast. When we want to spoil ourselves, but still want a traditional American style breakfast, we go to First Watch. Where IHOP and Denny's used to be a go-to, this place has surpassed them both. The customer service is beyond that of the breakfast places I grew up on and can appreciate the friendly smiles even when me or my husband yaps a little too much. The food is ABSOLUTELY delicious and filling. The entire restaurant has always been clean every time we go in and while the seating might not be the most comfortable, it still feels homey. I went here for a women fellowship breakfast. This was my first time visiting so I commented when I came in that the inside decor was cute. I got the Tri-Fecta (french toast, billionaire bacon, potatoes combo for $14) and some coffee. Food came fast and I enjoyed the bacon and potatoes. I feel like they were the real stars, the potatoes were well seasoned that you didn't need salt. The bacon was covered in a syrup that made for a yummy sweet/meat combo. The French toast not so much, the bread was a little tough. I like mine to melt in your mouth like IHOP. That was my only critique and tables had no Splenda for coffee. I was waiting for the waiter to pick up the tab only to learn you pay on the way out. No critique about that but just fyi for newbies. First Watch is good because it's pretty consistent across locations. Everything at this location seemed fine, aka absolutely a-okay. I ordered Avocado toast, which came with two nondescript eggs on the side. The avocado toast was FULL of avocado, which was fresh and tasty. The eggs were fine. The two didn't seem to mix very well. Million Dollar Bacon... let's just say it's a good thing it didn't cost a million dollars. There's really nothing extraordinary about this $$ bacon. I wouldn't order it again. Plain ol' crispy bacon will suffice. First Watch worked for our group, but I do prefer breakfast at family owned restaurants vs. a chain. read more

My husband and I went here this morning for some breakfast. Not overly hungry so we decided to share an omelette and all the things that came with it. We ordered the bacon avocado omelette with Monterey Jack cheese, and it was served with sour cream and salsa on top. Came with a big slice of homemade oat bread and we chose fruit for our side. We also ordered a side of cheesy grits. The omelette was fresh and delicious, and was enough for two people to share. The toast was a very big thick piece so it was just right for 2 also. The grits were good, but needed more seasoning, even if it was just salt & pepper, and it was cheesy, almost a bit too much cheese on the top. But I doctored it up with salt and pepper and they were delicious. Our service was top-notch. The young lady took great care of us. We never even knew this restaurant existed as we don't really live close by but pass through the area often. You can't go wrong if you're looking for a good breakfast! read more

I took my mom here for a nice lunch. We wore our masks in and were happy to see the employee's were not just wearing masks but gloves as well. This was my second time at First Watch. I had gone a couple of years ago with my coworkers and enjoyed the experience. This time, I went with my husband during lunch time on a Friday. The restaurant was crowded but we got seated right away. Our waiter was attentive, but not overly friendly. We ordered a banana crunch pancake, a 2 for you (1/2 Roast beef & havarti sandwich and a cup of broccoli & cheddar soup), and "the works" omelet with seasoned potatoes. The kitchen was busy and there was a short wait for the food. Our food arrived minus the pancake. Our waiter seemed to have forgotten to put in the order for the pancake so that didn't come out until later. It was fine. My husband said the roast beef sandwich was good, though a little greasy. The (sun-dried or roasted) tomatoes in the sandwich are delicious. The soup was very creamy but flavorful. My omelet was good, but not super memorable. It definitely lacked flavor. The potatoes were well-seasoned. The pancake that arrived late was large and pretty tasty. All in all, the dining experience was a pretty good one. I don't think First Watch will ever be a first choice for us in terms of breakfast/brunch, but it's a decent option. Prices are a little high, but the food is filling. read more

Today we came from Texas City, Galveston and Lufkin to eat breakfast. This is my third time to eat here but not my most favorite one. The kitchen was off this morning around 8:15am. I had avocado toast with a side of bacon and a morning meditation juice. (juice was sooo good) The avocado wasn't seasoned and my eggs were hard (not runny, like I prefer) which I should have specified but I wasn't asked. My friends traditional breakfast, her biscuit was broken up and her eggs were punctured (runny which she liked but she wasn't asked how she liked them either) soo, we had one plate with hard eggs and one with runny...no consistency on their part. The waitress, Holly (I think) was ok...she was training a dude, (4-23-19) so neither were as observant as I'd like. For instance, shed pick up empty creamer containers but wouldn't notice that they spilt cream on table, silverware and glass...she didn't return so I cleaned it up. She'd pick up a dirty item and set it back down to retrieve something else...just stuff like that. Anyway, the other 2 gifts had no complaints on their meal. He was curt and had poor communication. We watched neighboring tables who came in after us receive their food. It was 30 mins until we got ours. We were given no silverware and had to flag someone down b/c our waiter was nowhere to be found. No water refills. Food was decent. We enjoyed the Chickenchandas, traditional breakfast, berry toast, and 2 drinks: kale tonic & morning meditation. Kale salad was severely overpriced for $10. Overall really disappointing experience. A little bit fancier, more organically minded breakfast diner, First Watch puts a classy, healthy spin on some breakfast classics (for example the biscuits and sausage gravy use turkey sausage). Fresh fruit and fresh squeezed juices are a highlight The French toast with fresh fruit for my daughter was delightful but the biscuit in my meal was too dry to enjoy. The "million dollar bacon", while enjoyable, didn't quite live up to its name. It was bacon with a bit of maple syrup and pepper on it. If you enjoy a classy environment with great service and breakfast foods that are on the oatmeal/whole grain/fresh fruit/granola side of the menu, it's a great choice and you'll love it. If you like the Dennys/Waffle House/American Diners and Dives kind of breakfast food, maybe drive on down the street for something more your (read- my) style. Excellent service! Very clean! We (2 of us) go there Sunday and get on the wait list and when it's our turn, 3 teens (friends of the host?) came in and were immediately seated. I told the host that we were supposed to be next. This was my first time at this location and I gotta say...pretty disappointing. I got the Trifecta with the waffle, sausage, and eggs. The waffle had great texture except it was cold. It also had chives on it which don't belong on a waffle. I have never been to a restaurant where they only give you one small sausage link with your meal which is pretty ridiculous for the price. Breakfast potatoes where cold but where ok with a little ketchup. They where pretty busy, but we were greeted by the friendly host and seated quickly. Our waitress was good and atmosphere is nice, but the food just didn't hit the spot. Waffle House still has my vote for #1 breakfast. read more

I have not been to this location in about 3 months because of a moldy fruit cup I got with my last takeout order. I called the store to tell them about it and the manager Juan was very nice. I was not going to drive back the 25 minutes I live away from this store but he did offer to replace it. So today I go in and order the seasonal brisket corned beef hash to go. I get it home and there is no brisket!! Come on. I tried to call but no answer. It's bs anyway. Who wants to drive 25 minutes back in traffic so they can get your order right. It makes me so mad!
