Wanted to check this place out near me , so I took a chance and skipped on the reviews .. Told them what happened to my 2008 Jetta , he called me back to confirm.. They fixed the problem . I also told them that I needed tires..They gave me a good deal on 4 new tires, fixed my brake pads that I didn't know were worn down . Before I took my car to Luis Auto Repair both my check engine light and tracking light were not on. When I called their business for the issue of my car making a shuddering vibration that would shake over 45mph his son Junior told me to bring it in. He than assumed it was the torque convertor without doing a diagnostic test and told me over the phone that it was going to cost me over $3000 I told him ok. When Junior returned my vehicle I noticed the check engine and tracking light was on. I called him and told him about the issue and he told me to bring it in again to check the wiring and sensors. I asked him to show me the original part of my vehicle that they replaced and he told me that he didn't have it and that the same day we had the work done that the garbage had picked it up. When he returned my car after checking the wiring and sensors both lights were still on. I told him again and spoke to his father the owner Luis and he told me most likely it would be the alternator and that I had to give him another $120-180 for a new alternator. They had already taken out my original battery which I never went for that issue and wanted to replace my original alternator with another one I told him and if we do that and we have the same issues what do we do in that situation. He told me I will fix it until I get your problem solved. Until this date from the time I had taken him my vehicle for the issues until now I have the same issues with my vehicle. If i could give 0 stars to this thieving shop owner i would. I took my car to get a transmission replaced, after a few days they tell me I had to replace 1 out of the 3 catalytic converters on my car or else it would not pass smog. Charged me damn near $1000 to replace the part. After I got my car back, the transmission they put in was still kicking and when i would call this POS Luis, he would feed me the same BS "Bring your car back" line every time I tried to figure out what was wrong with the car. The last time i took it back, it was to fix the check engine light that kept appearing every time i would get my car back. Today I took the car to get a smog test and it came back that it failed due to a catalytic converter issue. Even after he charged me $1,000 for replacing a catalytic converter That was supposed to pass smog test, according to him. Luis is a thief. I took my car in to replace the transmission and he added another BS charge. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH LUIS AUTO REPAIR. Luis told my to get my transmission fix would be 1600 so I went online and order one on line for 500 so I had it deliver to his shop. So a week pass and I call him if the transmission was there he said no so two days pass and we got a call from him saying my car was ready so when we got there we find out he got anther transmission put it in my car so I asked him what happen to the one I order he said he never got it. So after I am calling the transmission place to see what happen to the transmission Luis comes out saying he found it. It was seating in his shop. Then he started yelling and slamming things when we didn't want to pay 600 he told us at first 450. Well this place sucks don't go here to get your car fix. read more

Luis seemed like a kind, reasonable guy. I was able to get in quickly after I picked up a 12v Prius battery from Autozone, and they installed it for a decent price (Toyota charges a ridiculous amount for a flipping battery installation that takes less time than an oil change--and this is not the specialized "main" $1500+ Prius battery it's just the "normal" one that all cars have and while slightly more complex than on a non-Prius it's not a complicated procedure whatsoever). The men here were all very helpful, considerate and efficient. They made my day a lot better considering the stressfulness surrounding the gymnastics I'd been going through to just get a simple battery installed. I didn't have a lot work done in my car (so I can't speak to what that experience would be like; although I have to say when I came to post this --I hadn't previously checked yelp, as I was sent here directly by Autozone--some of these reviews were surprising to me and gave me pause) the flexibility, efficiency and helpfulness made me happy. read more

I took my 2008 Honda Odyssey van there a year ago for some wire problems and he ended up fixing my engine and a bunch of other stuff that he felt needed to be fixed, long story short me and my husband ended up paying $3,600 just for our car to break down again a few days later because of alternator problems and had to bring it back to him and he tried to charge us for towing it when we had our own free towing and didn't need him to tow it. Oh yea and he never fixed the wiring problem and 6 months later we ended up putting our van back in the shop for another alternator due to oil leaking on it from his sloppy work and here I am again 6 more months with another alternator problem and a class 3 oil leak from our oil gaskets that he told us he fixed a year ago. If he would of fix our van the right way instead of being cheap or getting over we would be having this problem once again. Another red flag was he asked us to give him a good review on here but, if you know your doing good quality work you wouldn't need to ask people to give you a good review... There's a difference between asking for a good review and just asking someone to leave a review for you. I'm never taking another car to him ever and I would not recommend him. I've also talked to a lot of other people who have had problems with him trying to get over on there girlfriends, red flag. We came there asking for him to fix her car's heater core- he convinced her it wasn't that because he didn't want to do the labor to fix it. So he steered her into getting a BRAND NEW RADIATOR! When hers wasn't even broken- she took the original part home to be examined. He even prayed with her to convince her to spend her money, and since I was feeling apprehensive, he said to me- verbatim- " Get this through your head- it's NOT THE HEATER CORE!" Horrible customer service. I should've stopped her rigjt then. She left in tears since her cars original problem wasn't even fixed when she left. Originally had an appointment at another shop but they couldn't remove my rims because it had locks on them. I didn't have the keys so I went to Luis auto shop and he told me no problem he can take them off! I was so relieved because my brakes were making that annoying squeaking sound! Which was getting on my last nerve. Anyway Luis helped me out n told me it be ready in a few hours. Once it was done they called and I picked up my car.
