I've been going here for about a decade. It's still my go to shop. When I started going I had older cars. In the last 6 years I've had newer more reliable cars. My older cars needed more regular repairs. More recently my cars need mostly regular maintenance. I can say honesty is highly valued by Marlene and Jose. They do not upsell, overcharge, or make up needed repairs. You have to be reasonable. If you have an older car or lemon they can't do magic. Jose and his business are not honest. My mother came in for a repair and was charged about $300. They scammed my mom and took advantage of the fact that she came in alone and simply for being a women and not having knowledge. Our family mechanic went under and discovered the old parts still intact. Jose never replaced the old parts, lied and robbed my mom. Do not consider going in for any repairs and if you do make sure you have someone check their work. Its so disappointing yet so common of shops like this to take advantage of women and people this way. People work hard for their money and its not fair for business to make a quick buck by scamming people. I read some reviews stating jose and his team being honest so don't be fooled. Very nice family business. Was recommended by a friend. Oil Changers stripped the plug in my oil pan and failed to tell me. My car began a slow drip that went unnoticed for months. I purchased the correct oil pan, which includes the plug, for my Volkswagon Jetta and I contacted J&M. They replaced with no problem! Awesome and honest people!!! read more

Trustworthy. If I had to describe J&M Auto Repair in one word, it would be Trustworthy. Every time I've gone to them for help, it was for something that I thought was a major issue that would put my car out of commission for good. But no matter what the issue was, the family at J&M remained calm, cool, and collected. They're experienced and confident in their craft, and that goes a long way toward putting my mind at ease. I took my Maserati to have my clutch replaced. The men at the Auto repair did a spectacular job. They had the clutch replaced and the car is running smoothly now. I have been driving it for the past couple of month and I have no complaints what so ever. The owner was true to his word and did not over charge me ( not greedy). If i had gone to the dealership, I would have paid probably triple of what I paid J&M Auto Repair. I also took my Mercedes S550 2013, and had the whole engine replaced. I can say that they also did a great on the car. The owner really seemed to have extensive knowledge about the cars I had sent there for repair. Not just anyone can work on a Maserati or a Mercedes. I found J&M auto by doing a google search for repair shops that can install transmissions. My car is a 2010 camaro and they gave me a great price. I had to go to another auto shop to find what they did wrong. They lied & said all wat fine. They caused much months of distress, bad staff teaming up with lies & changed for correction & I was close to taking them all to court with all my documents. Had a brake problem (metal to metal grinding noise) and called around with the help of Yelp. I found this J&M Auto repair through Yelp and has 5 Star, called them and ask for the estimate and I made an appointment the following morning. They check my front and rear brake and found that my front pad ( if it still had some) and the rotor on the front driver side. They replace the pads and the roto and they also adjust the caliper on the rear brake drum. They did a marvelous job and the price is very very competitive if it's not the cheapest. Excellent work J&M and I fully recommend it to anyone who has a auto brake problem or any auto repair. read more

Just cannot recommend this lousy place. Actually I took my car in for a light dash problem but I was told that since the light wasn't on at the time to bring my car back soonest the light came back, I did. However, I was told by the owner today that he didn't have the scan since he had let somebody borrow it. What! Your own "Repair" shop didn't have the scanner. So he said to better take it to the dealer and then bring it back, Really! The owner should have told me that from the get go. Wasted my time and gas because he lied to me about "next time just bring the car with the light on so I can scan it" crap. read more

Fantastic! Based on Yelp reviews, I went here today to have Jose install a rear tail light on my 2011 Camry. I bought the part on Amazon, so I asked the cost for labor only. Over the phone, I was told they don't estimate by hour but by job and the cost would be $85. Since everything I read about installation said it would take 1-1.5 hours, I thought that was excellent. When I got there, I was seen right away. Jose only took 30 minutes to install and he and Marlene tested the light to make sure it worked. Total cost $65. I could not be happier with the service I received and will be taking it back to them when I need a tune-up. Thank you Yelp readers and thank you Jose and Marlene. You have a new customer. read more
