Well we went here last Thursday again for pizza and it will be our last time! Wow I think because they have a cash night where they have a 30% off if you pay cash. The pizza was horrible and was suppose to have chicken on it? We counted maybe ten tiny pieces on a 18" pizza! No sauce and tasted like nothing. Nobody wanted the leftovers! Now that is bad! Ordered the 3 tacos al pastor. The meat was tough, usually there had been cheese on the rice but none today. The chips were all stuck in one piece. You guys did very poorly today. Will be several months before I think of ordering anything from there again read more

Wife had steak & I had barbacoa tacos for around $15 each with 3 stuffed tacos, rice and refried beans, chips and two great salsas- red having a complex, charred flavor along the lines of Frontera's but a little more spicy, and green that was also very good. It is counter service however, the remodeled inside and out are very conducive to dining in. We had a couple of margaritas and we're thrilled. Very good, will be back. read more

Luis's has finally emerged from its winter cocoon...with plenty of indoor seating, parking, and a new menu. Looks like at least some of the original staff stuck around, too. Ambient music plays in the seating area, and the alcohol selection is much increased. Still waiting for our carryout order, so first recommendation is to order ahead unless you plan to dine in. Very nice friendly young man at the counter. Pizza was very good and I enjoyed the nice crispy salad also. AWESOME to have a place this side of the lake . Beautiful renovations, the old place was a hoot I miss the bulletin board with all the business cards. Could always find a painter or someone to fix the lawn mower. I grew up in this neck of the woods a lot of years ago so I should remember how good alot of these little Mexican (and pizza here) food shacks are. We ordered tacos before we saw the huge picture of what looks like a fantastic thin crust pizza. Had we seen that first we probably would have gotten pizza but I'm glad we didn't. I got the California corn tortilla tacos and they were great. The steak was super tender, the chorizo nicely complimented the steak and the toppings were fantastic. The rice and beans were very flavorful. The chips and salsa might have been the best part of the meal. The chips were fresh out of the fryer and crispy and delicious. All 3 of the salsas were fantastic too. Can't wait to try the pizza next time we're in the area. read more

The service and ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice. But then the food came and I just can't say anything good about it. It was hot yes but the quality of the food was just god awful. They decided to over do every single thing. Asked for a simple margarita pizza and they decided to put some brown syrup on the entire thing. Good god man it's a pizza why are we doing all this. Second time coming here after the renovation and the place is still spotless, food was amazing, and the service was exceptional. Got the tacos the first time and classic burger the second time. Tacos were great and burger brought me back to grilling out at my moms house eating home style burgers. Definetly a good spot for family dinner while remaining cost effective. Luis catered a 30 person family reunion last Saturday and it was fantastic! We did a taco bar with choice of tortillas or salad bowls. Rave reviews from all the guests! I'm super sad I found this place literally the last week that we live in Wisconsin - it is so good! The cheese curds were tasty, the wings were flavorful and crispy, and the pizza was really great, too! The staff was very friendly, even the young lady who is still in training on the register was doing it with a smile on her face. Ate there this evening. Wife ordered 3 tacos Al Pastore. Claimed they were the best ever. More incredible because she hates everything. I had a burger that was very good. Then a hot dog chaser. Decent dog, notable because Lake Geneva is a hot dog desert for a Chicago guy. Clean place, no table service, pickup your order and bus your own table. I'm so famished I don't know what to say. I ordered a chicken wrap expecting your standard chicken rolled in a tortilla. That I got, plus the unexpected shock of BACON in it! I'm Jewish, so of course I was quite taken aback. Being a reasonable person, I asked them to make it again without bacon. The young lady was very apologetic & nice. There are not many places to get a bit to eat on this side of Lake Geneva and Louie's is nicely located with a big menu, fast service and great food. This was the perfect mix for dinner last night because half of our group wanted pizza and the other half wanted Mexican food. The pizza was very good. My kids enjoyed it and said it was one of their favorite pizza's (and we're from the Chicago area). I had a steak burrito which came with beans and chips on the side. They put a lot of rice and lettuce in the burrito, but actually it needed more steak. Overall, it was very good. I am not a huge meat eater, but someone who likes a lot of meat might be disappointed at the scarcity of the steak. The chips were delicious and I dipped those in the beans. The places seems like it is in the middle of nowhere, but was worth finding it in the end. read more

Luis's is a gem. Don't be fooled by the little roadside building, it's a first class restaurant. Lots of great stuff on the menu, but for me, the lineup of Mexican food can't be beat. He'll do a vegetarian burrito that's one of the best I've ever had. If left to my own devices I would eat here every day. read more

This is my absolute favorite pizza in the area. The crust is so good!!! The fish tacos are also excellent. They have daily specials, haven't had a bad one yet. Hours can be limited depending on the time of year but lunchtime is a safe bet. read more

Passed by this place probably 100 times during the month I spent on the lake. Finally decided to try it so I stopped recently to get my kids pizza. I wanted to love this place. I often find small, food truck-like places like this little gems. I don't want to give them a bad rating, I just hope they read this and at least try my suggestion of: less cheese!!! Pizza is paper thin so all that extra cheese is not supported by anything, very droopy pizza. Also just tastes like a giant mouthful of cheese. If they used 1/2 the amount that was on my pizza, I guarantee you there would be no complaints about it because that is what one would consider a normal amount. Love the atmosphere. Tiny little joint with outdoor seating, a very welcoming little house looking hut. I'll be curious to try next summer. I hope they read this! read more

Stopped by while driving around the lake as it looked like a nice hole-in-the-wall. $14 for a small cheesesteak pizza + additional topping. Not a terrible price. Toppings and cheese/sauce were very good. Something tastes wrong with the dough though. Maybe not fresh, or just strange ingredients? Who knows. Half a pizza in and I don't think I would want to eat another one. May try some of the other options there next time, if we come by again. read more
