Great pizza, very consistent, we are repeat customers, both eat in and take out. Always good!

This tiny building seats a minimal amount of customers but the review is for the pizza and business. The business structure consists of 6 bar seats and three table top seats of four to five. The pizzas are served in a to-go box with no silverware and paper plates. The s&p are grinders and the red peppers and Parmesan cheese are in the to-go packets. No draft beer only bottles/cans. The pizza is a good up between hand tossed and thin crust due to the rolled edges. Because of the rolled edges the topping are within the 10" of a 12" pizza. In addition the pizza layout is the sausage which is not out of a bag but larger pieces of Italian sausage seasoned and made for this pizza. I ordered a double sausage and onion. The onion is lost, and the double sausage still didn't make every bite. It does have very good flavor. The slices are square cut like a bar should be. The pizza was crisp on the edges but when picking up a slice the pizza did t hold the sausage which rolled off several slices. Every slice should have sausage and onion. The pizza should hold its own, and not have ingredients rolling off when picked up, especially if not serving utensils. Service was good and bartender was friendly. read more

4 of us went there today October 5th and we've been there many times over the years. We ordered drinks and noticed that they were short shots. We never saw this bartender before We mentioned it to her. She told the owner and he came out screaming and yelling at us about it. The owner must be Brain Dead because why would you want to ruin your business by complaining to the customers? We thought maybe he is sleeping with her. Went we went to leave he was flipping us off. I totally think that his Attic was never finished! This nutcase should never own a business! read more

This was a perfect cozy spot to hang out after a conference day! It is quite small, but there is a nice outdoor fire pit area. The bartender was friendly and helpful - there is no drink menu, but she made a great recommendation that was super tasty! We split two pizzas between three of us - one Margherita and one Belt Buster. The Margherita was just okay, no fresh basil (just from a shaker) but the Belt Buster was excellent! Super flavorful and lots of toppings. The crust was also delicious - thin and crunchy. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for a casual bite! read more

The owner himself delivered us our pizza on a slower Tuesday evening in early August! We are never disappointed by the pizza pies and really appreciate the vibe at Little Bar. Roll me down Shabbona drive and somebody toss a ring buoy in the water cause this ball of sausage, cheese and dough is headed for the lake. Couldn't stop eating every bite. The only time someone pays that much attention to sausage is after midnight at Chuck's on 4th of July weekend. Bravo to the seasoned sausage, crumbled in chunks and waiting for me politely on each square slice. read more

We can never get a table here! Have tried twice now and both times have to abort mission. Honestly it seems like one do the few decent pizza places around the abbey resort but they need to add more tables! It seems like they are popular with the Fontana regulars too. It's truth in advertising. The bar is very little but it's also charming and the staff are very friendly. They didn't reinvent the wheel with their pizza but when a formula isn't broken, no need to fix it. It's superb thin crust and hits the spot every time. read more

A year ago I would have given Little Bar 5 stars...Even for being a Local. Something changed and it needs to go back or they will go down on the long list of restaurants in the area who made it 1-2 years. Last year= awesome, tasty pizza, good pours of wine and service This Summer=tasteless take and bake pizza, gimmicky pours of even worse wine, sub par long service. Pictures for reference/comparison. Can't believe we're just trying this places pizza. Been there for a drink outside during the summer which was great-just carried out pizza! Delicious! The sauce is nice and sweet-great cracker crust. I got "The Lou" sausage and banana peppers-killer combo. My husband has a dairy issue and got a no cheese pizza with lots of toppings. They accommodated easily and even have the option for these accommodations on their online ordering (thank you!) I think this is our new "go to" in Fontana area! read more

I was excited to order after seeing all the 5-star reviews here, but the pizza did not live up to it. It's average, maybe slightly below average. We ordered a pizza for pickup to go. The pizza needed more sauce, and the sauce itself needed more flavor, and the crust was hard, not cracker-like. They also skimped on ingredients. Did not even come close to how it looks in the photo gallery, which is what we were expecting. If there's a new employee making pizzas there, they need to learn from the owner how the pizzas were made from when it first opened and had all these 5-star reviews, otherwise the optics make these reviews look like it's planted from friends and family. Just being honest here. Aside from the pizzas not meeting expectations, there was no attempt to follow COVID-19 best practices guidance for social distancing or wear masks inside despite the Governor's mandate to wear masks starting on August 1st. The bartenders were not even wearing masks either. Bars are in the highest risk category for catching COVID, so please be careful. If health safety is more important to you than average-to-below-average pizza, I suggest looking elsewhere. Stay safe! read more

Great little place just a short walk from the lake front and across the street from The Abbey Resort. We ordered seven pizzas to go, and arrived early to enjoy a cocktail. The owner and staff are fantastic, it's great to see a hands on owner. The bartender was learning the ropes, but was super friendly and made our drinks quickly. The owner took the time to tell us about all the extra effort they put in to get quality ingredients for the pizza. I will say the end product is excellent, so the effort is worth it. The pizza is what I would call tavern style, thin cracker type of crust, very good balance of crust, cheese, sauce and toppings. Keep up the good work, see you soon! read more

Had a friend recommend their pizza as "the best in the area". Just shows you how everyone's standards differ. We ordered online. Pizza was available earlier than predicted. Paid almost $40 for two 12" pizzas that--to our taste--weren't any better than frozen pizza from the grocery. The setting with the umbrella tables and fire pit looks great and might make a good stop for a drink after a day at the beach, but we won't be ordering pizza there again. read more

Little Bar is aptly named. The sign inside says occupancy limit is 25 people. But there are tables outside that accommodate more. But don't let the size of the place fool you. Here, they only do one thing - Pizza. But, it's the best pizza I've ever had in my life. And at 75 years old, and having eaten a lot of pizzas along the way, that's saying a lot. The crust is cracker thin. The sausage is hand made and, according to Pete, the owner, is imported weekly from Chicago. The combination of sauce, cheese and sausage is sublime. The pizzas are 12" and comfortably serve two. Cheese only is $12 plus $2 for each additional ingredient. My wife and I were staying at the Abbey Resort, and Little Bar is literally right across the street. Unfortunately, we found this place the night before returning home to River Forest. Otherwise it would have been our go to place every night. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this pizza. read more

Don't waste your time or money on this place and it's average pizza. Me and a few buddies walked in as we were staying at the Abbey. From the moment we walked in you could tell we were not welcome. Some short little man claiming to be the owner with a big Napoleon complex basically tried to pick a fight with us. Don't know if he was drunk or just your typical little man trying to be a big guy by picking fights but he actually physically grabbed one of my buddies arms. (He is maybe 5'2 and my friends and I are all 6'0-6'5) He eventually backed down when called out. We paid for our round of drinks and left 20 min later as we didn't want to spend any more $ there. Go down the street as there are better bars in the area with food and better atmosphere. read more
