New record set this week! We had an hour and this was the countdown for the finish.

Quaint little Italian place in Lake Geneva. Happened in and took the big pie challenge. Crushed it and beat the speed record. Other food was great and served with a smile. If you are ever in town it's worth consideration.

One slice of Mama Cimino's specialty Stuffed Pizza.

When you face the building at 131 N. Wells Street in Lake Geneva, be aware that more than half of it is a coin laundry. Mama Cimino's door is nearly hidden around the first corner to your right. The place is small, offering seating at six tables and places at the small bar. The ambiance is definitely Italian and Italian-American. The tables are set with red and white checked plastic tablecloths and individual paper maps of Italy. The restaurant is open Tuesday-Sunday 4 pm to 12 am, and does lots of take-out business. We arrived for an early dinner, and were met by a friendly older lady who suggested we sit anywhere we liked in the empty dining area. Mama Cimino's does have a liquor license, so my husband and I ordered Blue Moon beer and Pinot Noir wine, followed by Bruscetta and the Specialty Stuffed Chicago-style pizza that takes 45 minutes to make. The Bruscetta came on a dozen two-bite pieces of Italian bread (not like the slices from a big loaf) and was served cold, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. It was good and quite filling. My husband enjoyed his Blue Moon, but my wine had an ascerbic flavor that didn't bloom and wasn't friendly like the Australian and California wines I favor. The Specialty Stuffed Pizza appeared just at the 45 minutes promised. It was a delicate crust filled with mozzarella, parmesan, green bell pepper, olives, several kinds of meats, and a sauce that didn't fight with the other flavors. It also wasn't too sweet. I managed to eat one piece, my husband had two. Our server happily packed the leftovers into a box for us to take home, and asked with a laugh if we'd like dessert. That will have to wait until next time, when we order a smaller pizza!

Good buffalo & bbq wings, good calamari (some fancy places are worse), and good service. Shrimp average.

One of the the few places open on a Monday night in town after 9:00 p.m. Good buffalo & bbq wings, good calamari (some fancy places are worse), and good service. Shrimp average. Decent ambiance depending who comes in.

Amazing!!! We always make sure we come in, and have the biggest pizza you can get there when we visit Lake Geneva.

Truly some of the greatest Italian food I've ever had. Run - DONT WALK - to get the lasagna. Couldn't give it higher praise if I could!

The space is clean and well kept. As our mains we ordered the sausage lickin' good pasta along with the og scallops. The food was flavorful and the portions were generous. We had a lovely server who knew her way around the menu and she was helpful when making our final selections. Overall I had a great experience. I didn't have a memorable entrée, but I'm convinced there's one for me on the menu so I'll definitely be back to give it another try!

Once we ordered, everything then came out very rushed (I specifically said we hated ordering all at once because it felt rushed) with little time between courses. We were constantly interrupted with check-ins and had plates cleared before we were finished several times. It made it nearly impossible to have a conversation or enjoy the meal. The calamari was excellent but small--we would have ordered another, if allowed (we were not)... The wine list was also lacking, and they were out of the only decent glass option. It's a shame because the food and chef are good, but the customer experience was so poor that we won't be returning.

Boats pulled up to the dock and people joined in the fun from there too. We happened to come in during the Bash on the Bayou event which indicated a seafood boil and live music. Unfortunately, we could not find any indication of the time of the event so when we arrived at 6:30 and asked, they indicated it ended at 7pm so we could not partake. The price for that was $45 per person, fyi. So we ordered from the menu. The Italian Porkchops were dry (overcooked) and not the most enjoyable flavor. The Walleye was a bit dry but good enough and the mashed potatoes were good. The "caprese salad" was just meh. The drink (the Pink Pig Punch) was good albeit a little sweet. In fact, if you don't normally like whisky, this might actually work for you. The staff was friendly and attentive, even with how busy it was. There were a few inebriated folks that nearly fell down the stair or spilled drinks if that gives any indication of the 'fun' being had ;) There is indoor and outdoor seating and the place has a fun vibe. But the food was mediocre, especially for the prices. Go for the fun and drinks but maybe skip the pricey meals.

Our waitress was very professional and even was able to find wine that she had originally said was not available. Their table bread is a really lovely focaccia which is such a nice touch. We started with a couple of pizzas for appetizers (our waitress dropped one and although she replaced it, we weren't able to enjoy it as it arrived immediately before our entrees were served) and then I ordered the Branzino which was really delicious, but some of our party who ordered pastas made comments about the noodles being over-cooked. The restaurant itself has been beautiful my whole life and it still is but our party was seated pretty far from the window, which was unfortunate considering the restaurant was mostly empty.
