So delicious! This place! This place?!? This place!!! Never have I ever found a place like this! Truly an experience to behold. The food, the flavor, the drinks, the ambience , I felt like I found a place that I was able to go to almost everyday! The restaurant had a wonderful blend of Colombian and Venezuelan cuisine. Perhaps I am drawn the to flavors of northern South America, or South America in general, but everything here made me feel like I could have eaten here at every meal of the day! The seasoning do the chicken and the beef, and how tender the beef was. I was breaking my vegan rules here so much I had to make sure I was eating some veggies through out my time in Miami. The service was so friendly and recommended so many things. I never had an Arepa before. The weather, the soft subtle music , the humid air, the distant bar playing their loud but entertaining club music would only add to the effect of the entire experience for me. It was like we were part of the party yet we could celebrate exclusive. I don't know if the experience was just for me but I felt like I was where I was suppose to be. Nothing could get in my way and I was eating like royalty. There is no experience that can replace the enjoyment of eating and feasting by people who want to see you fully satisfied. I go out with the intention of enjoying my time and I never am disappointed. Of my 5 day trip I came here about 4 evenings for dinner and one breakfast meal. If it wasn't for sleeted arranged plans I could have made this place my go to meal for any intimate occasion. I totally recommend going here if you are local or on a vacation to experience the food and environment. Perhaps being on a vacation also made this place so magical to me. Ideally, my kind of weather is hot and humid so if I could I would live in a city like Miami. It was only a walk away from where I was staying and if I visit again, I know made a review to remember and make sure I come back to experience the realm of royalty. read more

Honestly I felt disrespected with the food. I've come here before over the years and never been so disgusted with the cheese sticks and cachitos Served cold as hell and felt like if they been there for days like it's 9 am what the hell. Great service, incredible menu with so many latin and healthy options to select. Their breakfast are the best. You have to try their hamburgers with pork belly. OMG the best combination. Sadly another overrated restaurant with average food, my wife, daughter and I visited this place Saturday around 3pm, it was half full, we came because of the reviews online, we found the place has a fine ambiance, well decorated and comfortable, but that's all about it. We ordered the Luka tray as appetizer, it was ok, for comfort food it hit the spot, nothing beats arepitas y tequeñitos, fried stuff is the best. Then we all had a different bowl each, that's were everything took a turn.... All the bowls were microwave heated, half the rice was hot and the other half cold, beef was dry, overcooked and hard to chew, beans and mostly everything was reheated food, tasteless and terrible, I found the Chipotle bowls way better with more fresh taste and quality ingredients than what we got here... It's s shame, also found lacking of service, we had to ask for utensils and drinks several times in order to eat the food on the table, they had only one guy attending all the tables, I don't blame him, he did what he could. Overall, this was a very expensive lunch, over $80 for three people and the food below average and really bad quality. I can't recommend this place and definitely will not come back again. read more

We visited this cute little bistro while passing through Doral towards FLL. It does not disappoint, I'm an experienced "Yelper" when it comes to finding great local eats. I saw a few ridiculously low ratings and those folks must have been having a bad day prior to coming here to leave anything below 3 stars. We had no service issues, Elvis took great care of us. When they say comfort food, they mean it. We are from the upper Midwest and probably don't have a Venezuelan/Columbian restaurant within 200 miles, so I can't vouch for their "authenticity." But the dishes we ordered were from their fall menu selection. My son had the salmon dish with mashed potatoes and quinoa tarter and it was excellent. My wife had a dish that I can't pronounce but was described as a Peruvian stir fry with cheesy risotto, but was what I would call Peruvian pot roast type dinner. The meat was excellent in a velvety Demi glacé, the veggies fresh with a great mouthfeel, not mushy, and the risotto was gooey cheesy. I had the pesto linguine with flank steak and it was excellent. We had their guacamole as an appetizer; and I have no idea who dreamed up plantains and chicharrones as a topper, killed it. We had the guava dessert and it did not disappoint. We will return over the holidays when we visit South Florida again, keep up the great work Luka so we can visit a couple time per year for years to come. read more

I was starving after returning from Delray Beach. Got off the Turnpike and saw a sign that said coffee and breakfast. The place is clean and the waitresses were very friendly. Ordered the American Classic. Really nothing to complain about the food except that it took forever to serve a simple meal. read more

It was my son's birthday last Friday so we decided to go to Marco Island for the weekend. I called LUKA Restaurant and ordered Tequeños and Cachitos from their catering menu. Although we relocated to Broward 20 miles away from LUKA we will not go anywhere else. Their food is all made from scratch and their Tequeños and Cachitos are handcrafted to perfection. My kids absolutely love this place so it was a great option to take on our trip. Every time we walk in to Luka we see the same familiar faces we have seen through the last 16-17 years, although they had a different name before. This is the type of place you go to for the perfect breakfast, a great homemade lunch or a quick take-out meal. The best part is that as soon as you walk in you can see they are taking all the necessary safety precautions during this pandemic. Eating at LUKA is always a win-win situation, they are the best in Doral! read more

The service was not great. Which is a shame because the food is quite good. The server and food runner were not friendly and did not appear to want to do their jobs well. I work in food service and understand it is very difficult work which is why I rarely complain; but more effort would have been appreciated. We did not receive water until the end of our meal after several reminders. When we asked to order a drink the food runner told us we have to tell our server directly because she could not input it into the system-which is fine-if she had said it in an attentive and caring way. But she basically just brushed us off and walked away. Overall, just much more attention and warmness could have been paid. At least a smile. You can very easily tell they did not care about their guests and were just going through the motions until it was time to close. Good food is how you get guests but good service is how you KEEP them. I appreciate their work very much and I am thankful for being served, this is just some constructive criticism in hopes of change and more friendliness :) read more
